Oh god, Ivy looked awful in SCIV, like... One of the worst costumes ever made. I don't think this one is much of an improvement though, it looks like it doesn't fit her right (odd, since it's designed for her) and in this case the lack of pants looks sillier because of the top half... Ivy's always been one of my favorites, but her costumes are terrible.

My boner and I liked Ivy's costume. :-I

I wonder who the boss will be? Inferno, Abyss, Night Terror and Algol were all pretty badass.

Ivy's costume reminds me of somethng Sindel would wear, I like it to be honest and Ivy's always had provocative costumes, so it's no biggy (though her Soul Calibur 2 aristocratic costume was pretty cool).


As for the boss, I hope the boss is female, we haven't seen a female boss yet, only male. I never played SC3, but my favorite boss was Inferno, followed by Algol.

I hated the George Washington costume.

There hasn't been an Ivy costume I flat out hated but the SCIV primary was too revealing.

Even a Mortal Kombat girl would have looked at that and gone "Where is the crotch flap?" before wearing it.

I kinda like Xiba even though I fear he is "new comedy character".

Bios!

Awesome stuff daryui, most of the bios are actually amazing and the story actually sounds much more interesting this time through, like majorly interesting. I was a bit iffy on Lexia taking Xianhgua's place, but they seem to have handled it extremly well, so I like that. I will probably follow this much more now.


Those bios made my intrigue factor go up like 4 times for this game, this and DOA5 next year, too many awesome fighters next year.

Anyways... I love how they made this big decision to jump ahead 17 years, yet all of the characters from SCIV and back (excluding Ivy, (Maxi,) and Cervantes) look like they either haven't aged, or have Benjamin Button syndrome. Hilde just has shorter hair, Siegfried looks younger (and more Asian) than he did in SCIV, and Raphael looks way younger than he even looked in SC2. (Is he supposed to be a vampire?)
Maybe those renders are just deceptive.
Whatever. I'll still buy this, eventually, just for character creation mode.

No problemo! I've been keeping up with SCV by joining 8WR and such. And i must get the links to Ivy's (hideous ) and Tira's (amazing) 2P.

I prefer Leixia to her mother, and like Pyrrha, I love her look and personality more. Their 2P costumes look great from what I've seen.

Not to mention there is at least one to two Mokujin characters in the game. SIgns point to Edge Master making a return, and/or Charade.. (Daishi said Charade was considered on Twitter)

Dashii has said the roster is between 25-30 characters on the twitters, i believe.

At the moment we have 22 including Ezio. And we haven't got the "Yun Sung/Hwang" character yet. Or Zasalamel. Or Talim.

Let's hope its 30 then. Also Viola is gonna be my main it looks like from how cool she looks over all.

Aeon is still the same Lizardman in the previous games (bar SCII; that's a generic one), but he's going by his human name..

And I agree, this one is better.

Also, His moves happen to be Lizardman, Kratos, and Spawn in one...

i think it be sweet if you could take your caf from say sc3,4,broken destiny, transfer them to sc5 file with updated graphics.

Viola is a fortune-teller with amnesia. It is speculated, and hinted that she is Amy due to similar attire, facial features, and hair. According to her story, the orb allows her to look into one's soul, but she sees nothing when looking into her own.

maxi's old finsher from 4/broken destiny is better than what he has now.

did they explain more of the new features that effect gameplay. i remember watching a video for it.

woder if you can soul charge a critical finish to add extra damage.

Doesn't a critical finish instantly win the match for you, though?
