Algol looks lame, like Seth / Gill rip-off. His design is practically screams "we don't know what to do with him, so we made him naked".
Edge Master is still badass. As much as I hate mimic characters, he was probably the only one, who I could tolerate. Only because of his design.

Algol and Inferno look BA.

I love the new look for Algol, kinda like, as mentioned above, Seth/Gill/Urien from Street Fighter and Orochi from King of Fighters and maybe even Devil form Tekken as well. I didn't care much for him in SC4, so I hope they make his fighting style more interesting as well.

As for Edgemaster... YES!!! He was THE BEST multi-weapon character of the series, in my opinion and I am SO glad to see he's back!

Algol kind of reminds me of an Egyptian pharaoh without the Nemes (pharaoh headdress) and a shorter skirt. he kind of gives me an apocolypse vibe from x men.

I wanted to get this game but when I heard no Kilik that was too lame for me. Kilik is the only character I like from that series. Oh well...

Why no Kilik? He's my fave too.


Also loved Setsuka in SC3 with her glorious primary costume design. The first time I saw her in the intro video, where she pulls out the blade from the umbrella handle, I instantly fell in love with her.

Anywho, I don't use characters like Charade or Edge Master, but I do think they're a great addition to any roster, using them insures your character is always fresh an interesting.

I've never seen Edge Master until the other day, I like his look. I also really like Charade as noboby had his look.

I liked using Charade in part two.

Charade is my favorite character for various reasons, but he's pretty much the least popular mimic.. with EM the most favored.

I love random characters because they help me get better with the characters and unpredictability for the win.

And Setsuka's Queen Of Hearts theme from SC3 and overall design made her the sexiest female in SC. Sorry, Ivy... But Oh yea Sets. Shame she's getting replaced.. (Not really, since I was never attached to her.)

Kilik's my favorite character and it's disappointing that he's not in SCV. But after seeing the new cast, a few characters caught my eye, especially Viola and Ezio. As a fan of the Assassin's Creed series, I think Ezio's a great choice to guest star in SCV.

I'm still hoping Setsuka will make the cut. She's another favorite of mine.

Well you do know that Xiba is the successor to Kilik in SCV.

True, but Kilik is irreplaceable.

Well I can definitely see your point, but see my favorite character is Yoshimitsu and since his identity is never revealed, I will be able to accept the new Yoshimitsu with no problem.

Well according to 8WR, a member who went to NEC talked to Daishi about her, and he pretty much hinted she was replaced.



As for Kilik being irreplaceable, I beg to differ... People like Ivy, Mitsu, Voldo and Nightmare.. those are irreplaceable. Flagship characters.. yadda

Yoshimitsu is still recognizable in terms of appearance and fighting style, even though it's a successor behind the mask in the new game.

As for Kilik and his successor, Xiba, they're two very different characters even though they have similar fighting style. I liked Kilik's overall character including his story. That's what made him one of my favorites. When Xiba was first presented, I was a little uncertain. But like I've mentioned before, I'll give him a chance in the new game.

About Setsuka, it's too bad she's also not in SCV. I play as other characters as well, such as Ivy, Nightmare, Maxi and Mitsuragi, but not as heavily as Kilik and Setsuka.

I like the look of Amy lookalike Viola. The magical orb weapon looks like it might be hard to use but!

It's all but confirmed Amy = Viola.

does anyone know if all characters have wall attacks. what i mean is like taki's sucessor can jump off the wall to attack can say maxi do the same. or is it character specific.

really hope for some new throws for everyone. some of them are the ones namco used in soul blade.

i'm hoping i can make Billy Kane from king of fighters. that would be sweet. or even axl from gg. that's if they have there weapons are in the game. if not i'll have to impravise.
