I don't even know who you are Hulk-Hogan, but you obviously are from MKF or some shit cause you are hostile toward me. My point was I have all these mods like ]{ lecturing me about "flaming" people and how they "removed flames" from my posts ect...when not more that 3 posts above are flames agianst me that are allowed to sit there...in fact about 5 differant staff members and mods posted in this thread and didn't do anything until I pointed it out. Gee....I wonder why?

Well i don't care if it was fair or not, This is getting annoying as we won't move from what it has been stated. This thread is creating more problems than a good intention which was why it was created. Too bad that bans have to fall on users. But apart from that the initial question has been answered the ban won't lift. Close this thread.

Why close it, it shows the REAL #mortalkombat rules that are implamented by the ops there.

- We can kick and ban you if we don't like you
- We can break all the rules we tell people to follow, cause we are ops (eg we can flame but normal users can't)
- We allow our fellow ops to insult users and get away with it
- We can ban you from our channel if you associstae with TMK, or put TMK in your nick...or visit the TMK site.
- We only let people who like MKO in the channel, if you don't like MKO or anyone on the site we can ban you

Yeah, so they don't like you, and they aren't afraid of showing it. So? They don't have to, and this is a privately run site. There was no guarantee that they wouldn't dislike you when you joined, and there was nothing to say they were always fair to every user either. If they felt like it, they could just ban whoever the fuck they feel like, for no reason at all. I think they've been pretty lenient already by keeping the account of somebody they don't like, and who they find annoying, active. You sure as hell aren't helping shit by trying to get one over on them.

There are moderators here I don't like, and i've been punished for stupid shit too, but wanking on and on and on about it in a public forum isn't going to make you appear better than them, or put you in their good books. I'm not trying to take shots at you here, but what do you really think you're actually achieving other than pissing them off (which won't do you any good anyway)? It doesn't make sense. It's like you're just recklessly digging yourself deeper and deeper, then complaining about it.

I am proving that they are unfair ops, and that it is under poor management. And it's not just me, other people are also banned for stupid things. Eg a guy gets banned for a month, after a month they don't undo the ban...he gets back in the channel somehow and they ban him for another 2 months for "evading a ban" a ban that had already expired....riiiiiight.

And btw you are wrong about the #mortalkombat chatroom....it was started at www.mortalkombat.com and has always been for public access to talk about MK, not private...MKO shouldn't even be in charge of it.

I really don't think there's a chance in hell of them saying "Hm, it seems we've treated TMK unfairly, we should remove his ban", just because you tried to call them out on their mistakes.

If you have all these problems with the IRC channel, why are you so hell-bent on trying to get back in?

Krackerjack: I am not expecting to be unbanned, but I don't want people to belive the crap that MKO tells them when they say "why is TMK banned?" then they say "harrasing and flaming users" which is total bullshit.

Which ban would you be talking about? While I can remember extending bans for a couple of users recently, neither one was what you just described.



You seem to be forgetting your history. Let me remind you... when I first came to the chat in 1999, #mortalkombat was being run by Nosaj-Samoht and a coalition of websites which included MK5.ORG. Over the years, though, even though we tried to add member sites and the like, MK5.ORG was the only site which took an active role in managing the channel. When Nosaj retired and turned over administration of the channel to me, we put the channel under our name. All we were doing was making official what had been reality for over a year. And in case you don't remember, Nosaj himself actually approved of what we did. (Which you should remember, as you were an op at that time. I don't seem to recall you voicing any disapproval at that time, either.)

In any event, #mortalkombat was run by a coalition of sites, and I did try my best to keep it like that. In the end, there was no point, as MK5.ORG was the only site actively involved in maintaining it. I sometimes still wish it had worked better like that, but in the end, what's done is done.

Some opinions should be kept to yourself when you are viewed in a position of power. Did you ask the admins if this was policy? Or did you just assume?

In either case, that was a very caustic message. It was things like that that made me angry at Crow so long ago. Even if you feel that the petition doesn't matter, don't express that. When you say that what the users feel doesn't matter then you are saying that the users don't matter. On the internet all a person has for representation on a forum is their opinions.

This was very irresponsible of you to state it in such a manner. I understand a policy that dictates one doesn't back down to threats. But this wasn't threatening whatsoever. And the opinions of the users in response to your 'viewed' attack, I feel is justified.

As for TMK himself, I've known him for a long time. And I have never wished him to be banned. I've never hid my opinions about the mods nor anyone else on this site. That may be one of the reasons I never became a mod. *shrug* Oh well. As for cussing out mods and that, I've done it on many an occasion. If I feel strongly on my opinion, I shall voice it to whatever extent I feel is necessary.

In the end, I would like TMK to be unbanned. But I don't know the situation. I'm sure it went somewhere along the lines of: TMK said something tasteless on accident. Mod starts arguing. TMK argues in protest. Old fight wounds open, and they go back and forth until he is banned.

But I'll sign the petition.

Know you run it like a bunch of nazi's....if anyone even mentions "TMK" on it they get kicked or banned for being a "TMK Spy" or you think they are me sneaking back in to the channel. You don't run it like a public access MK chat anymore you run it like "MKO's official chat" how many ops in your list are not staff / mods on MKO? Do you even give suitable chat members a chance at being a mod if they are not staff on MKO?......no

During the course of my inital ban people kept showing me the message below as anyone you thought was me would get imediatly kicked and banned from the channel. I saw at least 5 - 10 people get banned because you thought they were me. example:

Well jsut for the record, I've said your name in teh channel and I wasn't banned/kicked of it. I keep my position that this thread should be closed as this is getting out of hand. It's leading now where but making things worse to TMK and the mods. This thread has lost it's initial purpose and should be closed.
