Zentile: Champions. I've been wanting a continuation of this game for a long time and would love to see what Next Gen can do with it. However, I'm not holding my breath on that one.

In all seriousness, I would've been totally blown away if Eternal Champions was the crossover. Even moreso if it meant Midway secured ownership of the series!
Superheroes are great and all, but we kinda know what to expect... I really think a lot of these now defunct series are crying out for a decent revamp, and lord knows the only way that ever gets done is through assimilation.

Not that I'd have total faith in the MK team to do them justice, but it'd be fun... There just aren't enough Pharoahs in beat 'em ups anymore...

Nice picture of Xavier (the main point of the thread). Perhaps you could draw an EC character facing an MK character? RAX vs. Cyrax in his alternate costume comes to mind, or Larsen (sp?) against Stryker...

Exactly! I'd prefer MK vs. Eternal Champions. For those not familiar with it, it's a game that came out for the Sega CD back in the day. I'd suggest looking at some videos on youtube.

Mick-Lucifer: LOL, the World Heroes.. damn it's been awhile since I've come across anything that reminded me of that game. And I'm in total agreement. There are so many series out there that deserve a shot at a come back. The Eternal Champions in particular. And while I also am not 100% certain that Midway could them justice... it would at least be nice to see a developer making an effort with the title.

Predator: I'm actually a huge SS fan as well. There is actually a damn good looking 3D game currently out for SS.. although I don't think it's out here yet (I think just Arcade release in Japan so far? but I'm not sure) I was watching some vids and it looks great. I hope it gets released here too.

I think a better idea as far as crossovers would be this over EC vs. MK....

Eternal Champions was a good game. Though its sad to see that there are no other games like EC out there. It would have been an interesting game to play if EC was the crossover game with MK, but unfortunately, we're stuck with DC comics.

Don't get me wrong, I like this crossover idea, but I'm still having thoughts about the fact that MK will be dimming down on a lot of its key features... mostly fatalities. But yet, Eternal Champions would have made a bigger difference toawrds a lot of these people on the site. Namely, the people who are against this game.

Yet, I don't understand why they're throwing big fits about it.
