Lol, my vote heads for Logan as well. I like how he fought Viro, and of how he proved his name in the Heiligan household. He protected his sister, and went after Viro. I really can't explain why, but he just proved himself to me.

NOTE: I think that Hamon should have been put up here as well. Not just because I'm obsessed with Vladmir, but that he fit into the criteria. He was ready to step in front of Davila and tell Vladmir, but he knew better. He's on a sucide mission himself, disguising himself as a Dimentian. And plus, the Underworld is unrepresented. So if you add Hamon to this poll, my voice would go there.

You make some great points, SK, but is Hamon really a "hero"? I mean, he's 100% loyal to Vladimir, the original sinner and most demonic being in existance; if Dimentians found out the devil resided in their world, they'd all freak! Does his "prodigy" really come across as heroic? He's very brave, definitely, so I agree with you that he's on a suicide mission and ready for whatever comes his way, but his purpose isn't really that of a hero. Heroes fight for a good cause... not to shape Hell into the world of #1 power. ^_^

Lol, that's a good point. But he's being heroic in his own sense. To him, this is a heroic undertaking. I understand that, that alone won't propel him in the heroic standpoint, and his goals aren't exactly for the 'greater good' but I still believe that through the Underworld's stand point... he's a hero.

(Lol, now I don't mean this as in Osama Bin Laden is a hero to some terrorists, but I think that Hamon has some heroic qualities, just my opinon).

Alrighty...sorry for not reviewing sooner! Work and homelife once again managed to interfere with my online activities, lol.

Before the review however, two things:

1. I voted Donnovan, I really think that his story with the Adonis stone will be epic, and I think that it's really the largest activity any of the heroes are undertaking right now.

2. Leo, forever ago you asked where I worked, and I guess I just ignored it. I won't tell you where cuz I won't, but I'll tell you that I work in the Tech Services department of an insurance software company.

And now my brief review!

Well, there's not a lot to say that hasn't been said already...the fight between Leona and Vice was huge, epic, and truly immersing. It was so easy to get caught up in this episode, and it was it's flawless writing that made this possible, as usual!

I enjoyed the brief interlude with Diavol and Viper....Viper really stole that scene, and it was really intense as well.

I really liked the final convergence, but Master Akio just shouldn't have jumped in...poor old man should've known what was coming!

But, that did give us the chance to see Elandra and Leona briefly tangle, and that was a really great scene. I think that it was of course the most logical thing for Elandra to do, and I think that most of us have been expecting something like this for a while.

Of course Vice got in the way of that, but it was still all good, lol.

And then Leona goes after Luther! This girl is crazy, and I'm starting to love it grin

Lara was fantastic as usual, as was Mace...I think this has been the largest grouping of our characters where they are actually interacting...it was truly amazing.

Great work 10/10

Drake and Viper? You mean Diavol right? Don't mistake my sub-par character with that cellar-level character. There will be blood to pay if it happens again.

I didn't ask where as in what location, I wanted to know what "business" you were involved with, cuz I was curious when you said you were gonna read an episode "when you had some free time at work".

Thanks for the review, and for voting! Great points on Donnovan, I gotta agree with them all. And it looks like Logan is in the #1 spot right now =O

I did love writing that last scene with the huge grouping of the characters. There was so much each of them could do and say that it was hard to decide on what should make the cut in the end. And it looks like Luther has a wonderful memory, he still remembers Elandra very well, and still isn't too happy with the memory! >=O

P.S.: LoL! How hilarious that everyone's slapping Diavol around now that D_W ran away. Even SK is taking shots at the poor master-less character U_U

UGH! Enough of this Barbarism!

*Whips troops back in line*

grin

Anyway,

Just when I though Episode 20 was amazing, in comes 21 to slap me in the face. (in the Good Way) This episode hands down had to be one of/or the best you have ever written! So, in honor of this Orgasmic (Leo) Epsiode, my review is going to be...a bit...Larger than Normal. (Hence why it took me so Long to do, lol!) Without further ado, I present to you....

My Review

* First off...the Leona/ Vice fight was absolutely amazing from begining to end. The Dialouge in this scene was Outstandng! You've given each character so much character and voice, its realistic! You could almost feel their hatred for eachother all throughout the fight, which made the battle all the more enjoyable to read. I loved how Vice was messing with Leona:

"Leona
As if you have never laid a hand on a woman before. Someone like you would behead a child.
Vice
And someone like YOU would behead a child for money.

The exhale Leona now utters comes out quivering while her red lips shed disgust at the hulking figure before her. "

To me, it was more like Leona was disgusted at the fact that they are the same in a way. She's knows that she would do it, and doesn't feel bad about it, yet it makes her and him similar, and she's disgusted at it. It was a nice slight, pleasent touch that added some depth. wink

Now onto the action! The whole scene was so intense, I was getting goosebumps while reading it! I had no clue what to expect, or what was going to happen next! I loved how you perfectly showed the strengths and weaknesses of both characters flawlessly. For Example, Leona's Speed and Agility outmatches' Vice's:

"The very instant he is but five feet away, her right leg flies up and nails him in the face, returns, and never touches the sand as it follows up by striking his stomach.
Vice doubles over, clutching his midsection. Leona touches her right hand to his back and flips over Vice's body, landing on his other side. "

Now Vice's Raw Strength against Leona:

"He spins around as Leona throws her left leg backward at him. When Vice blocks, the assassin's right one repeats the same, in vain. Leona turns to face him and receives a two-handed, open-palm hit to the torso. Vice's force knocks her a good distance away."

A Good Mix of Both:

"Before he can attack again, Leona bravely dives at him with a combination of swift punches and knees. Vice's arms are like unbreakable medieval shields, absorbing all otherwise possible damage from the girl's assault. Then, in a cunning display of skill, Leona quickly sets her hands on Vice's shoulders and uses them to jump and cast her body back, simultaneously punishing his jaw with both her boots. "

I also enjoyed how you managed to bring a tad bit of humor into the extremely tense scene, even though it did not relieve the stress tongue

"Leona (CONT'D)
Trust me, you won't die from a blade between the legs. She laughs darkly at Vice's wide eyes filling up with fret.
Vice (to himself)
You sick little bitch... you really do hate my guts..."

But what did give me a slight break was Vice poking fun at Leona's...Umm...o_o'....Ever so Graceful Skills on that Tree...Ahem...
One of my Favorite moves in all of Deadly Dominion has to be Hands Down, Vice's teleport. It sounds like such an awsome effect, and I would die to see it on TV or the Big Screen!

Overall, the 1st Part of the Memorable fight ws executed perfectly, and built a good foundation for the rest of the battle! Can't wait to talk about the other parts! grin

"If there is one thing no one can say is that I can't kill. The reason you still stand is simply because I refuse to grant you the silent death I am used to giving. I want to experiment with you, Vice... use you so that I can see what hurts more... what causes more blood to flow from the body... what brings death more slowly...
"

* 1st Off, I am extremely glad that we have all come to a unanimous descision, that Diavol is an annoying little (even though his creator wasn't little) bitch! grin

I loved the setting of this whole scene. The whole silvery atmosphere made me feel like I had been transported to some futuristic space station or something!

This scene stood out to me, and I think you know why:

"Diavol goes through... INT. ADMISSION CONTROL BUREAU, SCANNING OFFICE - CONTINUOUS ...and is greeted by a dozen firearms, all targeting him and being handled by furious-looking gunners. "

...LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I could picture that in my head so perfectly!

The guns the guards used were really pretty cool, as well
To me, Viper really stole the show. I loved the way he moves and attacks....much like the animal he is! Especially when he was running like a 4 legged beast. (I would have said dog, But people might confuse that for a bitch, which would be what Diavol and his creator are)

That time stopping item was also very neat! I wish I had one of them. It almost kind of made me think they were playing some weird game of Red Light/Green Light. (Diavol is the Red Light and Viper is the Green....LMAOooOoOo_o....Please disregard.)

At any rate, an awsome scene! Can't wait to see the rest of their journey!
"Maybe I was a fool to stop that from happening! "

* A Short and Sweet scene with My Beloved (Not Luther....for clarification...o_o if for some odd reason you actually needed it.) Uh Oh...Looks like Valora is extremely fucked now, if Luther's planning what I think he is. I wonder how that will play out...should be quite interesting to see...

I loved how Bianca was turned on at Luther's rage, and at the thought of suffering of others...just goes to show you how fucked up in the head she actually is.
Another great scene, and I'm dying to see where it leads! grin

"The fate of those cretins will be a glorious example for the rest of Dimentia!"

* W00t! All pumped for part 2! Just when I thought it was intense on Land, it got even more so in the water! The water fight was absolutely spectacular! For a second there, I thought Vice was going to drown her! ;-; Leona's movements almost made me think of a shark, attacking its prey...big ass prey. Pretty short compared to part 1, but just as, or maybe even more intense! Can't wait for the Rest! grin

"Finally! You're staying right there until I don't feel you moving anymore, you annoying little pest! "

* A Short and Hellishly interesting scene! Seems like Hamon's fight is comming up soon...wonder who he's going to fight? (NOT Mace! Unlike someone of us thought that....*rolls eyes*) Nice to see Davila's beauty restored....Ha! Get it? "Nice to see".....o_o'...Moving on. Hmmm...I wonder what Davila said to Vlad to make him not trust Hamon....sneaky bitch! Overall, Great Scene and I Can't wait to see it further explored! smile

"I... Of course not, my lord! I will always remain loyal to you! I falsely serve Luther under your orders! Were you to tell me to cease this very moment, I would-- "

* This scene was absolutely done perfectly! And even some elements were a suprise! Such as Lara's obsession with Earth. I guess after all those years there, she grew attached. Hence, why she decorates her room with Earthly Decor and dresses in the same manner. This makes me wonder...would she take Mace's offer to go back to Earth? Even if she doesn't love him....she loves Earth....Very interesting character dynamic....makes me Love Lara all the more!

"Lara hops over to a full-length mirror and praises her look with a hypnotic and lively stare. Her hands run over the fabric outlining her curves and feel the skirt's thin hem, well above her knees. Spins around. Laughs to herself. She now studies her surroundings with an odd curiosity. The sight of the furniture, obviously so different from the common Dimentian style, seems to snatch her and draw her into their otherworldly atmosphere. She touches a few pieces: properly feels the bedspread, intuitively examines the lamp, opens a few drawers and admires the content. One would think she had discovered a gold mine from the chipper light radiating from her features. "

I really enjoyed Master Akio's talk on Auoras and prescence, and how he can smell Evil written all over her. I wonder how this is going to affect her plans...hmmm....should be interesting nonetheless!
oOoOo Mace is up for the next round. I wonder who his opponent will be? I'm eagerly awaiting the fight! grin

Off to find Leona!

"Regardless of what world you were born to, something malicious springs forth from your soul. I don't have to know you or speak with you to sense it. It's as clear as daylight. "

* Interesting....I really like how Elandra really dislikes Leona. She was so happy to hear that she was gone, she stopped ranting about the fate of the Earth. (tongue) But looks like not even she can stop Mace....so she taggs along like a good little girl....leading into....

"Lead the way."

* Lara's flawless tracking skills, lol, I loved how you remebered things like Leona's X in the sand, so she could see where they were fighting. Hmm....Why did she call Viper? He isn't even at the Fortress, isn't he in Heilig?
Anyway, I enjoyed watchng the fight through Lara's point of view (POV). After the intense fight, I really thought that Vice had been defeated. (well at that moment) I was like "O_O", and then Lara ran, and I thought she had just abandoned him....and of course I was wrong!

"Shit... she's gonna defeat him."

* Short interesting scene....appears that Luther just sits on his throne the whole night, lmao. I forgot that Lara was originally suppose to kill him, but instead hired Vice to do it for her...Good refreshment. Luther not a fan of Earth Wardrobe eh? Good thing Bianca wears Dimentian Clothes....o_o If you call them clothes, lol! Not enough asperin in the world for Luther when it comes to assassin headaches, so off to fetch Vice we go!

"Luther shakes his head in a manner befitting someone whose pillow wasn't fluffy enough."

(Great metaphor Btw!)

* More of Vice's taunting..."Lily", cute pet name! tongue Just as I think the fight is about to reach its climax, the trio interrupts it! I was shocked when Leona said she was going to team up with Vice and attack the next person who came their way. Shockingly it was Master Akio! :-O Pretty Frisky for an Old Man....got some moves as well. Therefore prompting Elandra to attack as well. Awsome to see Elandra get beat around by Big Bad Vice, and then AXE KICKED >XO by Leona off screen! Lmao! And then...*dun dun dun* U_U

Luther and Lara come to the rescue! I love how he verbally Pwned them here:

"Certainly. I, in turn, will speak to the Watcher about the girl in blue and her invasion of the fortress with the intent of attacking this world's king. While I'm at it, why not ask them to verify that your friend, a confirmed killer for hire, walks among legitimate competitors. "

Never Forget >XO. Anyway, and then the Unbelieveable! Leona actually attacks Luther! And Lands a few hits! :-O Appears the Big Bad Emperor isn't immortal like we all thought...yet anyway, lol. I'm surprised that Luther didn't just kill her then after that! Loved Lara's projectile knocking Leona's blade away! wink

I loved how there were so many characters in this scene...like S_S said, it had to be the biggest yet where so many characters interacted! Can't wait to see scenes like this in the future!grin

"Insolent Earthling... "

All in All, I have to say, this has to be one of the best episodes yet! Pure Literary Genius and Orgasmic (Circa Leo) in every way imagineable! Keep it up, I'm also loving these lengthy episodes as well! I would score you, but as I said, there aren't enough Numbers U_U

Here is Episode 22. I'm gonna stop talking about how big the episodes are, because they've all been increasing in size these last few weeks. Maybe it's better to just warn everyone if an episode ever comes out smaller, ^_^ .

================================================

Deadly Dominion: Episode 22

"Nearing A Dead End"

"The Earth Dwelling becomes home to an eruption of mixed and intense reactions during the aftermath of Leona versus Vice, which may decide the assassin's very fate.

And while Mace prepares for his tournament debut, Lara puts her cunning methods to work when her patience with Vice's secrecy reaches its limit and Luther's pressure begins to build up on her back."

================================================

I'll comment on the reviews of Ep. 21 AND close the poll ASAP, while I wait for the new comments! Thanks!

'Till next time,

- Leo

As a little "Bonus Feature" for the release, I'd like to include an updated concept for Leona that I was sketching away a couple nights ago and actually came out better than I expected! This should give everyone a pretty nice view of Leona.

Leo, what a great episode. In my opinon, this was your best episode that didn't have a fight in it. The dialouge never got boring, as it was great to progress the story as well as pique the interest of the read. And now for the Review.

24 hours and a Promise - I love how Lara had the guards open the door for her. "I can't walk through wood." That was so demeaning of her to say. I love how the guards got so embarassed and ashamed. But Vice better get his act together. He's going to die soon... very soon. I just wanted to say that Luther seemed so powerful here, even without force. Something about the way he acted radiated power, and surperiorty.

If you can say one thing about Mace - Daaanm, Elandra really dosen't like Leona (I wouldn't either after that incident.). I mean, she was toasting on her, she want's her out! Honestly, I was really impressed with the writing of how Mace reacted. I was a little scared for a second. "Don't ever tell me what I feel, or don't feel." That was a cold, dark statement, but it fit perfectly into the scenario, great job.

Unlikely Lovers This scene was also well written. The tension in the room was somewhat evident (tension as in attraction, not violence). I love how Mace acted around Leona, and that intimate eye moment was well written, even by your standards.

Joining Forces - Master Akio dosen't know what to feel :D. FIrst he's really happy about Leona joining the Coalition. Then he's just shot down by her "it's not permenant." THat was great. This storyline can really go somewhere.

Ugh, the Drake wannabe, and the slut-in-pink - Well written? Yes. Revolting? Disgusting? Vomit rising? Yes.

Zale vs. Mace - I'm sure I've got the match-ups correct this time. Even still, this fight is going to be a good one. Who's most of the crowd going to root for? They're both 'good' planets. Zale, the Heligian Guard, vs. Mace, the Main character/Earth Hero. My bet goes on Mace. Oh yeah, and it's good Vincente is going to live.

Drake's new Toy - I love the new weapon you gave Drake. You described it well, and I bet there's a great use in store for it. Leo Rocks!!!

Straight out of a Movie - I'm still amazed about how well you wrote this. This must be the most descriptive part I've EVER read, from any Author. I could see the scenery clearly in my head. Just... amazing.

Thieves! - Lol, they stole Hamon's transformation Diamond. I can't wait until the Dimentians find out what it raelly does.

Framed - Bianca is in TROUBLE!!! IF she does it, Vice gets killed. If she dosen't, she and Vice will get killed. And we all know that Bianca is alot more concerned about herself than she is of anybody else. "Is that the slut-in-pi-" Lol. I must say, Drake acted EXACTLY how I would. Down to the "Alright, I'm going." I say that daily. Great insight on the personality.

Life Jucies - Lol, Drake again! He wants the life elixer eh ? Who woudln't. I love how he deftly avoided suspicon of his whereabouts. Slick as a tabletop.

Use the Force Luke! Lol, I don't know why I am reminded of that. Even still, the last minute pep-talk must have been good for him. I love how you described the Chi-Punch. That wowed me, even the flashback was good.

Overall: 10/10
Leo Score: 10/10

Note: How Great. I can't even describe how great this episode was. Keep the good work Leo.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!!!

The sketch of Leona was amazing. I love her whole physicqe, even the cross. Her face is very cat-like, and her makeup had the whole Ra thing going. Great job!

Interesting comparison. I can see where you drew that from: her agility and sneakiness in combat do resemble a shark gunning for an unsuspecting prey... although Vice was far from "unsuspecting" O_O' ...

Barakaz_cuz Wrote:

You could interpret the scene this way, but I think what is more likely is that Vladimir is naturally intolerant of any sort of betrayl, as we've seen from his scenes with Davila. I think the most likely scenario is Vlad was really reminding Hamon of to whom he must swear eternal loyalty, since he's a demon who did nothing but suffer in hell and, in Dimentia, lives in a luxurious fortress, working for the emperor. It would be easy for someone of a weak level of loyalty to be swayed by this new life and ignore their primary goals. Davila just seems to be enjoying the fact that Vladimir is so caught up in complete servitude from his champion... maybe she's hatching another plot to land a blow to Hamon... maybe she's just thrilled that all is not lost on her end. smile

wow An excellent point you bring up (goes back to how well you can draw these conclusions from the scenes). I guess we'll have to wait and see if we'll get the chance to look into this side of Lara a bit more in the future.

Allow me to clarify:

"VIPER
The Earthling has not been seen or
heard from by anyone in the
Fortress. I kept a lookout as you
commanded."

Hm... maybe I should have tweaked that piece of dialogue a bit more somehow. What I actually hoped you'd get from "The Earthling has not been seen of heard from by anyone in the fortress" is that Viper (who we can assume she trusts the most out of the other generals) had been asked by Lara to keep a tab on when Vice arrived in the fortress. Since Viper wasn't present, he would have asked those within it to relay to him the exact time Vice arrived and keep a lookout for him, so that he could report the results to Lara via the communication device. That's why he basically said Vice "wasn't seen by anyone in the fortress", and not something like "I haven't seen him".

Again, maybe I should've toyed around with that dialogue to make it clearer =/ ...

It's important and refreshing for us to see that Luther isn't all about brute strength. Here we can see the ominous aura around him that almost seem to follow him around wherever his goes, and influence his words so that he even SOUNDS threatening, even when he's not being so directly.

Thanks! I'd say that in Elandra's relentless desire to put an end to Leona's presence in the Earth Dwelling, she almost unintentionally wandered into hazardous territory with Mace. We knew it was coming sooner or later, though, didn't we? Elandra was always questioning Mace about why he was always so intent on helping Leona when the girl had never done one thing to deserve it. It's understandable that she's defy this given her feelings right now, even though it kind of prompted a "solemn" response from MAce.

Ugh, the Drake wannabe, and the slut-in-pink - Well written? Yes. Revolting? Disgusting? Vomit rising? Yes.

LoL!!! I think you know what's cracking me up about this, lol. No, that's not it, try again... THAT'S it! >D

StreetKing Wrote:

Aww, everyone's all happy Vincente's gonna be ok! For a minor character, he sure got some fans!

StreetKing Wrote:
Drake's new Toy - I love the new weapon you gave Drake. You described it well, and I bet there's a great use in store for it. Leo Rocks!!!

StreetKing Wrote:
Straight out of a Movie - I'm still amazed about how well you wrote this. This must be the most descriptive part I've EVER read, from any Author. I could see the scenery clearly in my head. Just... amazing.

Thanks a lot, SK. Descriptive scenes on movie scripts is a tough thing to tackle, believe it or not. First of all, you can't even have too many of them! Too much description is frowned upon in scripts, as you're supposed to get right to the point and not waste movie time telling the director how pretty the scenario is supposed to be, lol (it's alright to break this rule here, though, so I do >=( !!!) Also, it's pretty difficult to describe the characters' surroundings in a way that flows well with their actions and doesn't get boring to read, so all in all, it's nice that you appreciated how that piece came out!

StreetKing Wrote:
Framed - Bianca is in TROUBLE!!! IF she does it, Vice gets killed. If she dosen't, she and Vice will get killed. And we all know that Bianca is alot more concerned about herself than she is of anybody else. "Is that the slut-in-pi-" Lol. I must say, Drake acted EXACTLY how I would. Down to the "Alright, I'm going." I say that daily. Great insight on the personality.

I'm happy you really think I'm doing Drake justice, lol. tongue I didn't even know he more or less had your personality! Glad I seem to have nailed it, though -_o

StreetKing Wrote:
Life Jucies - Lol, Drake again! He wants the life elixer eh ? Who woudln't. I love how he deftly avoided suspicon of his whereabouts. Slick as a tabletop.

B_C should stop by to compliment your metaphors as well, heh.

StreetKing Wrote:
Use the Force Luke! Lol, I don't know why I am reminded of that. Even still, the last minute pep-talk must have been good for him. I love how you described the Chi-Punch. That wowed me, even the flashback was good.

Wow, lmao, that comparison didn't even cross my mind! A good one, nevertheless. You got the right idea. smile

StreetKing Wrote:
The sketch of Leona was amazing. I love her whole physicqe, even the cross. Her face is very cat-like, and her makeup had the whole Ra thing going. Great job!

Huge thanks! I wasn't even planning on putting it up as an extra for this episode, but I started doing an "I'm-bored"-sketch of her and it came out better than I thought it would, so I why not? You noticed some great aspects of Leona, SK. Makes me believe I did justice to her looks and the "vibe" she gives off!

Thank you for the review. Hehe, I love the titles you give the scenes before the comments, keep them coming! Awesome mix of humor here and there and the serious tone that dominated the better part of the comments. Can't wait for the next one. smile

Anyway, enjoy Episode 23! I'm gonna do my damndest to get Episode 24 released by next weekend. I really want to try and release one episode every week from now on, I think the 2 week waiting period is beginning to take its toll on me, lol.

AND FOR THE REVIEW!!!!!!!!

In the Red Corner!!! Standing at a height of who knows, and a weight of who honestly cares. Fighting out of the Lavish realm of Earth, and coached by Master Akio. MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE RYDER!!!

In the Blue Corner!!! Standing at a height of tallness, and a weight of man. Fighting out of the orderly realm of Heilig, and being coached by the Royal twins Milenna, and Logan. Here is your ZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALE VENTRIOS!

And this fight is sponsored by This fight is being sponsored by Dimentia, "Opression stops Depression, visit Dimentia now!". It also sponsered by our Lord Luther! And of course the lovely, brutal, and sexy... La- wait sorry. The lovely, the brutal... ADONIS STONE!! (now being held in the holds of the fortress...)

Charm! Everybody loves Drake!!! :D. *cough cough*

O_o This arena looks crazy. You've described things better... but this still is amazing. I'm scared for Mace.

Energy Blast That was hot. How he just made Zale go flying by shooting his energy. :D.

Depths of Hell hahaha. I liked that. (Drake looking into Leona's hair for al ze numbskulls out there.)

Wow, Vice is a dumbass I would not have told Bianca ANY information. I mean, she's just a slut... why does he care if she dies. Some bad guys never learn.

Demon! Uh-Oh, somebody took Hamon's gem, and he's gonna find out the hard way

DRAW YOUR WEAPON!!! Weapon fights rock.

Leona and Drake don't mix. lol, slicing of vital organs.

SUSPICION! Uh-oh, Elandra saw something... where can this lead?

Release your energy I've got to say, those energy punches are cool. They remind me of Jax's ground pound. Either way, c000l.

Flashback? That was a hot flashback. Lara was whoopin ass, than John comes through with his projectile.. niiice.

Worried much? Now I"m scared. When an emporer has to have an emergency consort with his Top sorcerer, something's up.

Slick Rick, er, Zale He's a smart little cookie. A good use of his projectile, and although the Lance is lost, the fight is still on.

And I thought Luther was scary... Viper just bugged me out. Lol, I like the intimidation factor you gave him. Diavol better smarten up before he's eaten up. Viper W000!

Ok, that was amazing That was.... spectacular. The jump across the Chasm. The shooting star attack. Hell, even the fall. That was too much. Perfectly executed... Flawless, victory.

O_O.... RUN!!!! I'm not even going to review it as I don't want to spoil the huge scare you just gave me. You know what I mean, don't yah leo.

10/10/10/10/10. That was amazing. My heart's beating a mile a minute, and now I'm scared. Great episode... anticipating the next one, haivng nightmare. :)

I just read this episode, and my little review will be forthcoming either later today or early tomorrow.

I've been away from a computer for a few days, and my free time seems to be growing less between work, exams, and chiropractor visits sad

Anyway, I wanted to assure you Leo that I did read the previous episode, I simply didn't comment on it. It was just as great as all the others you've produced, and was a very entertaining read....I just forgot to review!!

Alright, here is my 'review' grin

First off, the battle between Mace and Zale was the most fantastic so far! Each time you turn out a battle, they amazingly trump the previous one....I don't know how you do it!

The entire time the script was focused on their fight, it was a very tense reading situation, and I loved every second of it.

I also really enjoyed the flash back hearkening back to Lara's battle vs. Mace's father...I hope that's explored even more in the future!

The rest of the episode was great, with Diavol and Viper making a nice appearance to boot.

It was entertaining reading the parts where Drake was trying to make conversation to Leona...silly boy, she'd rather eat your heart! grin

I also liked that Elandra saw the visual contact between Drake and Lara...should make for some interesting stuff in the future, though I am eager to see what's gonna happen with Elandra and Pyrros when they get to Valora!!

Of course this gets a 10/10 out of me, as always. I await ep. 24!!

Hey guys. Just stopping by with a quick, but important, message.

First of all, thank you Keith and S_S for the replies concerning Ep. 23. Second of all, I just wanna talk a little bit about these replies that I look forward to after every episode.

It might not seem like it when you got a clean, perfectly-fluid episode of D.D. in front of you, but I actually spend quite a bit of time with these episodes. I don't have set times when I work on them, but do trust me when I say that I've spent full mornings writing in the past, and just as a fun side-note, I wasn't able to complete more than three scenes. I'm just trying to show that writing even one simple scene is tougher than stringing a bunch of words together: you gotta think hard about what is the best way for an event to take place, from something big like a round of a fight, to something small like what a character will say and how he/she will say it. There's quite a bit of rewriting and changing things around here and there before you got a scene that's presentable. It's a considerable amount of work, but in the end, I enjoy writing it for two reasons: 1) I just love writing. 2) I know that there are people, even if it's only a small group, who are expecting that piece of writing and who are going to appreciate the work put in and have fun reading it themselves.

But, unfortunately, I begin to question how "expected" these eps really are, and how much fun the readers are actually having reading it, the moment the replies diminish like in the past two eps. I don't want to complain like a little kid, but I do wanna just say that it was a bit disheartening when I put up Ep. 22 and got almost 0 response. When one of you guys reply about an episode, you're not just saying "Here, I read it, thanks". You're doing a lot more than that. You're showing that you not only read it and liked it, but that you continue to enjoy each chapter of this unfolding story, and your interest for the series hasn't gone down since it first began, and you're happy with how things are going or care enough to suggest changes. A few paragraphs talking about and reminiscing about the scenes of an episode have a deeper purpose and meaning than, well, just a few paragraphs talking and reminiscing about the scenes of an episode.

I really want to show the people who take the time to type up these few paragraphs that I appreciate the time taken to do that. At the same time, I wanna show the people who've basically left the series for the past few eps that if no interest is shown in the 30-something pages pumped out almost weekly, then I should show no interest in giving you those pages. So feel free to say something if you think I'm being a bit harsh, but here's what I'm going to be doing for at least the next few eps:

When a new episode is done, I will send it by e-mail to the people who stopped by and took the time to respond to the last one. I will only post that new episode here on the thread when everyone who's involved in the series has left their mark.

For example:

Episode 24 is nearly complete. When it is done, I will send it to Keith's and S_S's e-mail so they can read over it, since only they have posted so far. Then, once the others involved have left their mark for Episode 23, I will post it here. Basically, you showing that you're still here and you're still supporting the series is your ticket to obtaining the next chapter. You showing that your interest in the series has gone down is your ticket to staying in a D.D.-free world, which shouldn't be too bad to you if you haven't been around lately.

In case some people have forgotten, here are the people who are part of this series:

- StreetKing
- Soul_Stealer
- Ermacsmainman
- Barakaz_cuz
- Xtactics (Yes, he wants a character in the sequel, and stated he'd keep up with this "season" in order to be able to do so).

I'm not even counting ermacsmainman anymore, cuz his annoying and increasingly-useless ass seems like he left for good (at least Devil_within had the decency to announce it). So in conclusion: Episode 24 will be posted here on the thread when Barakaz_cuz and xtactics have left their mark on Episode 23. Episode 24 will also be sent by e-mail to StreetKing and Soul_Stealer as soon as it is done (BTW, could you two tell me your e-mails again?).

Then, Episode 25 will be sent by e-mail to the people who comment on 24, and posted on the thread when EVERYONE has done so. And so on, and so on, until I think we don't need to do it anymore.

So that's that. Feel free to reply about this new announcement, whether you agree, support it, disagree with it, whatever.

I'll talk to you all soon,

- Leo

Just a quick note: I finished Episode 24 yesterday. If you were here for Ep. 23 as I stated in the last post, then send me your e-mail if you haven't already so that I can give you a special link to the new episode.

P.S.: Just finished the outline for Episode 25, which I'll start writing ASAP. I can honestly say this one is going to be mind-blowing ^_^
