That is really nice. I love it.

Skinsley do you mess around with the resolution on your sig? the quality always looks, iduuno really nice clear and smooth.
Gradient maps, adjustment layers, curve layeres, colour overlays, brightness contrast.
Any of those sort of layers when used correctly can edit the smoothness of the picture.
Sometimes its best to use lots, sometimes its best to use Few or none.

UlcaTron, I realise y'all are still learning and stuff, but that doesn't mean everyone's got to sugar coat what they think of someone's shitty signature, just because they're new at it. If nobody tells them it blows, they'll never learn. They'll think, "Oh, they say it's good, so it's good."
Even if you say, "It's good, but you need to improve on...", the "it's good" part still goes to their head, and they keep shitting out these things like crazy. It's like they think, "Oh, they said it's good, so why should I improve?"
That's like teaching a child that it's good to color on the walls. It's clearly not, but they don't know that, because nobody's told them. And none of this, "Billy, drawing on the walls is good, but you could improve on..." bullshit.
Ugh. Nevermind. I'm just lcearly not getting my point across.

So you came in here just to say how much our sigs sucks ass just so we will be determined to improve.
Well, my problem with that is, if I did that, I could be lying and saying how bad a sig when I think it is good. I already had to lie on my previous job and I'm not it doing again. If I think it's good, then I will say it's good.
BTW, your sig sucks................and I'm not lying.
You can lie all you want about anything, I dont care, just don't make it seem obvious when you lie to me, or I will be pissed. If you really think my sig sucks, that's fine with me. Just don't lie to me. This includes you Ulcatron...........stealing sigs.

When did this turn into a trust issue? Haha.
I never used the word lying once, and you just said it eighty-seven times in one post.
See? I told you my point wasn't getting across.

I counted 2... but I could be wrong.
Anyways, back to what you said torchia, I'm pretty sure none of the sigs most of us new guys are pulling out are really top notch... and yes, we could improve massively, but I mean you've got to give new sig makers credit. They're trying hard to make something out of one or two pictures and create an image that catches your eye and flows well. That's hard. I don't think telling these guys (including myself) that their signatures are steaming piles of garbage, because enough of that could potentially stop the motivation of a soon-to-be great sig maker. You could give constructive criticism... not just telling someone their signature is the aftermath of bad mexican food. That doesn't help anyone get anywhere. If you think that the sig looks like no effort was put into it, then how about next time tell them what they should spend more time on and what they could do to improve.
Just a thought.

I was counting the word "lie" aswell.
Look, I'm not saying that constructive criticism is bad, I'm saying make sure the constructive criticism is the main focus in your post. It's terrible seeing three word sentences like "change the background". That's just stupid.
I'm also saying that regardless of how new these guys are, they need to take their time making these things. I mean, really, every day I see the same people posting three or four "new" signatures. That's horrible. The quality is just getting lower, and it will continue to keep getting lower until you guys start taking time to explore the signature you're making rather than slapping a bunch of downloaded grudge brushes together and calling it "new". Well, that's not new, it's actually old. Really old.
My advice in a nutshell:
-Take your time making signatures.
-Don't over use the grundge brushes. It looks terrible. If you really want a grundge background, strategically place each brush stroke. It looks terrible when things are just slapped on there.
-Don't over crowd it. Some of the best signatures are the ones with less stuff.
-Use as little font as possible, unless it fits with the composition of your signature. Some really good signatures I've seen have been ruined by the terrible choice of font.
-I forget who said this to me, but, rather than making the background around the image, make the background, and find an image to place over the background that will look good. It's a little tedious at times, but once you find that perfect match, the signature flows perfectly.
-Try new ideas! Go way out on a limb, and explore your own creativity, rather than closely following some tutorial. We've all seen that you can make a simple signature, now branch out to your own style. Diversity among signatures isn't a bad thing. It keeps things interesting.
Just my $0.02
Not that it matters. Nobody seems to take anything I've said here seriously anyway.

thanks, Maggo; i agree, i've only seen one other person make a drahmin sig:Skinsley, and that was a request.
The alba one...well the text is distrubuted in too many different places.
The render was not well blended.....for example he hair looks bad.
All in all, theres no way its your best, I dont know what your talking about.
Or is it just the best sig that you have Actualy made ?

Try blending some the render in some parts- either using a lasso tool to draw around the render and applying the layer mask or erase some parts of the render on low opacity (50-55%) with a soft brush eraser.
Anyways, what do you guys think of the current Anakin sig I am using now?
