I hear the new movie will be a prequel with Sub-Zero as the main man. New actors and everything. And worse news is they might pick a girl teen idol for Sub-Zero like Jusin Timberlake, or Chad Murray. Why couldn't they keep Keith Cooke Hirabayashi?! This movie will suck so bad!

Uh... no. The company is waaaaay too poor to afford people like that. Plus, they need someone who can both act and fight.

I vote John Turk.

Turk might be too old now, but I would sure as hell love it if it was him.

That's a free hosted site. And besides, this is not the first "interview" regarding the movie that comes out and it's not the first fake rumor that spreads this fast.

Here is proof

Scroll down and you will see: 'Robin Shou possibly not being in Mortal Kombat Devastation' as a subject line in a gray border.

John Turk as Sub-Zero, no way. Turk is too old. I would recommend someone like François Petit, the one who played Sub-Zero in the first movie, he was pretty good, and the first movie was a success. J.J. Perry would be the next best, because his performance in Conquest really set the tone for Sub-Zero. Keith Cooke would be my last hope, why? Because Keith fits better with Reptile other than Sub-Zero, even though his acting was good in MKA. If Reptile is in the third movie, then Keith is my choice. But, if he isn't, then there will be three feuding over the role as Subby.

OK.I have a question for everyone, even though it's a LITTLE bit off topic.

How come MK movies are EXTREMELY low budgeted? Why are they?!
It really pisses me off!

John Turk can't act.
Keith Cooke Hirabayashican't act.
None of the other B-movie actors named can act.
If they grab people who actually can act (aka nonames....), I'll pay money to see a Sub-Zero flick...and if they ditch the goofy costumes. I mean, c'mon, what self-respecting warrior would be caught dead in spandex (other then the Power Rangers...)

Oh, and didn't Threshold sell the rights (or something like that) ot Lion's Gate?

You are right about that all. I heard to the grapevine, that they are ignoring that annihilation was even made and Johnny Cage will be back. Which would be smart, considerating the second movie bombed.

Did your computer tell you that?

As for the actor I agree that a noname would be better. No names are always better for these little out of the way projects. They always care about it more than established actors and there is no baggage. When the person sees the actor on screen they see Sub-Zero and not some other character from another work.

Well I think Christain Bale could play a Sub-Zero, just my opinion. But I think they need to redo the moves over or skip Annhilation. Kind of like the Superman movies. If they start over though, they need to stick pretty close to the game's storyline, bc that's why MK is a success.

Sounds like they are going to make a movie out of Mortal Kombat Mythologies.

Well it looks like the people over at imdb.com updated Mortal Kombt: Devestation. It appears that, they removed, Raiden, Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, Bo Rai Cho. Kept, Scorpion, and added Li Mei ( it said it the actress was "In Talks", forgot her name), and Reiko also "In Talks" played by Ray Parker i think. The guy who played in the first X-Men movie the morph dude i think. Well, i know i don't trust this site, but i decided to check on it anyway, to see what other lies they posted. And I thought this movie was gonna be based on Mk: Mythologies Sub-Zero. and Sub-Zero isn't in the cast.

I honestly dont get it when people say ''François Petit was pretty good in the first mk''. He had ZERO LINES? ''and the first movie was a success''? You think it was because of François Petit? Not in the least, it could've been anyone under that mask and they would've done just as well, if not better. I always hated how Sub-Zero has absolutely no expression on his face when he is creating the first ice bolt agaisnt that random Shang Tsung warrior.
Has anyone here even heard François Petit's voice? Has anyone seen his hair? He may be bald for all we know.

Petit has long gray hair in a ponytail.
I saw that on the b-roll on the dvd of the first MK movie

But I agree, they could have placed me in that costume and nobody would have noticed.
