Dunno if this was said yet, but Chapter 3 will be out early. While it will come out digitally next Sunday, the first issue of the print version of the comic will come out in comic shops on Wednesday, and it'll collect the first three chapters. So Chapter 3 will be print-only for a few days.

Really liking the character development Scorpion and Takeda are getting but I'm really looking forward to some returning and new characters!

Oh and Raiden can go suck an egg with his mysterious riddles. Earth's warriors are in danger again, after he got 80% of them killed, and instead of being clear about this new threat, he decides to not give out anything. Because fuck logic!

possible guesses to who the demon is

Lucifer- Freed after the netherrealm wars wanting his throne back
Skarlet- She has a blood thing going on
Kotal- Also a blood thing going on but is a God not a demon
Quan Chi- Maybe more of an assistant to this demon than the actual cause
Shinnok- I Effin doubt it
The woman in Jade's ending?- Also doubt it unless Lucifer is a woman which would be bad fucking ass

Kind of expecting this, suspect that Kotal will try to recover the Kamidogu and 'Damashi' will be part of that. I've always had it as headcanon that Damashi was just voices in Shujinko's head as opposed to an actual glowing red thing

If they ever finally show us Lucifer in MK I would be hype lol

It could work, I don't believe it t was never stated in the game that he was killed or destroyed by Shinnok, just overthrown.

Just read the second issue.

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
It was great, and that ending was pretty damn shocking. That Fox shit was creepy and badass. Although I'm kinda confused on if the Neatherrealm invasion has already taken place?? Or is it currently happening? I got confused when Raiden mentioned the invasion in the past tense, like it had already happened.


Also, extremely minor complaint, but it kinda bothers me Scorpion wears like light brown instead of yellow. I cringe at myself for typing that a little bit, but its the truth. /angryfanboy

Tired of spoilers... spend the 99¢ and read it and join the discussion. The invasion already took place. The netherrealm wars are over. Looks like the good guys won. Also as far as the colors go I don't thinks its a big deal anymore. Yellow was used to mock the Lin Kuei and I'm guessing Scorpion is past that now.

Netherrealm invasion already happened. The reason why the Shirai Ryu was rebuilt was because Scorpion was able to recruit the survivors of the Netherrealm War. I'm also guessing that the reason why Scorpion is Hanzo again is because Kenshi saved him during that time and considering Raiden implied that Scorpion is one of Earth's few heroes, Scorpion probably helps Kenshi, Sonya, Johnny, and Raiden beat Quan Chi and Shinnok.

Anyway, definitely can't wait for the next chapter. Makes me wonder what voice that was that talked to Fox to make him do all that with the Kamidogu. Hopefully the next chapter will have answers about that and explain a little more about what the Curse of the Kamidogu really is.

The comic starts a few years after the Netherealm war. We will probably learn more from it in the game and probably in the comic.

And about the light brown thing... technically brown is dark yellow (Max Yellow on CYM and then darkening it, or max Red and Green on RGB and then adding light), so his yellow clothes when worn out and old would probably darken a bit and look a bit brownish. It's the same color changing the illumination.

Raiden's warning was fair and honest. He warned scorpion of a silent walking demon. That demon possessed fox because fox was too weak minded. How could raiden have for saw that?

I'm still a little confused about what's going on with Scorpion. Is Hanzo still a wraith? Or has he really be restored to life? If he's no longer a wraith, how does he still have his powers?

My main question is why wasn't Raiden watching the dagger? He gave it to Scorpion to safeguard, as Earthrealm's protector, isn't that something he could do, especially if its such a concern to him and could potentially pose a threat to the realm if in the wrong hands?

Not complaining though, im sure Raiden had a good reason to have Scorpion guard it.

It hasn't been explained yet. It seems he is a human again, but still has the ability to tap into his Spectre powers at will. I myself am really curious to know how the answer as well.

His may be a dumb question, but I don't read comics online and im, waiting to buy the print version On Wednesday. Since the chapter come out weekly my question how long is each chapter? Are they a full comic or short thing and put together as one comic. I ask this cause since it's weekly but print comes out monthly I'm curious to see what's in issue one of the print version
