Everyone seems to adore Christopher Lambert... but after looking at how Raiden's form has damn there changed drastically in the previous three chapters, one of the only people I see that would do Raiden justice is.............................................................................................................................
Dolph Lungdren.

Christopher Lambert
He did a great job in the first Mortal Kombat, and he is great in Mythology movies.
That is all

I of all people hate to say this...but they better get this movie going soon or Lambert is going to be too old. He was a great Rayden in the first movie, but if he is going to be doing anything more than smart remarks and 'wise' advice they might need to start looking for someone younger. For a while there I thought that Jeff Meeks could do a movie role since he did such a great TV version of the thundergod, but he's getting up there in years as well. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any 'known' actors that I would even consider to be a good thundergod.

Yeah, Raiden's not old or anything.

No...he's a god and is ageless. Look in the game does he look old to you.

I can't remeber what else Dolf played in but the name does ring familiar. What are some of his popular roles?
Cuz you might be right, based on my personal perseption of the character.
Are you at all waiting for and exploitation of Raden?

Dolph was the infamous Ivan Drago in Rocky 4. You might remember him as Sgt. Andrew Scott in the all too famous "Universal Soldier." Remember Sgt. Kenner in "Showdown in Little Tokyo?" That was Dolph. He played as He-Man in "Masters Of The Universe." The hero/Badass in "Red Scorpion." He is also the original "Punisher." That all too famous swave that he had in these movies is still there, even at the age of 48.

I can see where your getting at,but he kind of DOES despite what you
said about him being ageless.Remember in MK1 he had black hair
(According to the manual.) and in MKDA he has grey hair so maybe he
HAS gotten older.

Midway changed his hair color after the MK movie. Guess they figured it made him look more 'god-like'. In the first game he wasn't even the sworn protector just some bored immortal looking for a challenge. Remember his bio and ending? Have a nice day!
Back at the subject i'm seriously stumped on who else could play the thundergod if Lambert doesn't for whatever reason. Meeks might be able to pull it off and he did do a great job portraying Rayden and Shao Kahn in the TV series but I not sure he would be able to do such a good job on the big screen and he is also getting up there in years....I know of a few that might pull off the character but none that could pull off the fighting. And all of the decent martial art actors just don't seem to fit the character. *sigh*
