Word is, Shang Tsung is supposed to be returning in the new Mortal Kombat Devastation movie, but the actor is not the old and beloved Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa from MK1. Shang Tsung is being portrayed by an unknown actor named Neil James. Does anyone have a picture of this dude? Because he sounds all-American. Neil James is also the assistant director of Mortal Kombat: Devastation. I ask for a pic because this can either make this movie head for the toilet like the last one did... just by this off-beat appearance of this news by itself.
Again, movie to be released in 2007, but folks should keep a note... it's only going to be prompt by the sales of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon.

But MK2 and MK3 Shang Tsung does look different from MKDA Shang Tsung, so it's alright.

Shang Tsung has "died" so many times now between t.v. and games, I think they should just pick the correct face to play him right and kill his ass for real already.
Shang Tsung meets Fujin:
Fujin prevails in this battle, forces Shang Tsung to release Liu Kangs' soul in an act of Mercy. Banishes Shang Tsung to the Chaos realm, which solitifies his accention into Godhood, in replacement of Raiden as protector of Earth. Liu, re-establishes the gift of mortality as Fujin's first act as God of Wind and the protector of Earth....... Raiden grants the request.
Or
Shang Tsung Meets Bo Ri Cho:
Student killed by Master, He can't fuck wit 'em, and in the T.V. series(MK Conquest) Cho can soul snatch too not to mention Cho inserts his foot and gives him the look we know from MK1.

He's not essential to the new plot or anything.

They don't. If this movie is about MK Deception/Armageddon like they said it would be, then the main bosses should be Onaga or Blaze.

Time out
Okay, for the next movie they should have three bosses:
1. Quan Chi- Liu Kang has never faced him, Quan Chi has only made an appearance in Conquest. Let Shang Tsung resurrect as whoever, and get killed again by Liu Kang, and banishment to the Netherrealm for good. Let a new sorcerer come into the movies.
2. Shinnok- For God's sake, please, please, get a better actor, like the one in MK Mythologies. You know the one who was dressed like the game Shinnok from MK 4. And make his story a good one, like in MK A New Dawn, check it out at www.mkrevolution.net- I think. It is a fake submission from the creator of the site, who thinks thats how the next movie after Devastation should be.
3. Onaga- Make his appearance a good one, make him so powerful to where he gives Liu Kang a hard time. Make him big and undefeatable.
As for Blaze, save that for a future sequel after MK 3 Devastation, otherwise, you will be cramming in too much shit into one movie, to where you can't actually tell the story about the Devastation to come. Let the Elder Gods and the One Being be the next plot of the movie after Devastation.
From what i heard, this movie will take place directly after the MK1 movie. Ignoring the MKA movie completly. That was an early storyline tho, i havent heard anything further about what possible time frame this movie takes place.
