Heroes from the DC Universe are invading Mortal Kombat once again as the latest epic event from DC Comics spills over into an action-packed crossover special in DC K.O.: Boss Battle #1 -- now on sale! A new preview shows the DC tag team who arrive to take on two of MK's best. Take a closer look:
It's looking like DC KO is sending Plastic Man and Black Lightning directly into the world of Mortal Kombat 1 -- or at least a timeline that looks an awful lot like it. The heroes interrupt Mortal Kombat, much to the chagrin of Shang Tsung, who sets them up for a fight against Sub-Zero and Scorpion. CBR features the moment of arrival in their preview & review of the one-shot [picture below].
DC K.O. turns the DC Universe into a hyper-crazed fighting tournament where thirty-two (or so) of DC's heroes, (and a couple of villains), gather power from esoteric weapons and combatants energy. All to crown a supreme wielder of ultimate power capable of defeating the evil New God - Darkseid!
Taking place between DC KO #3 and #4; the Boss Battle one-shot special allows the heroes to draw a little extra power from across the multiverse -- leaving the realms of DC Comics to take on challenges from various other companies -- including setting up the ultimate fantasy fight between Superman and MK1 guest fighter Homelander.
