I'm hoping Reptile is at least suggested for DLC taking into consideration that he's the OG secret character and an MK staple at this point, he's absolutely my most wanted character but his inclusion doesn't make or break MK11 for me at all. I will say I am pleasantly surprised by the female focused roster The MK Ladies got a lot of love this time around and i'm here for it! This roster could EASILY become a 11/10 with

I agree with you on basically all your points. I’m pumped for the potential to have all 5 female ninjas. That’s dope.

Cetrion looks cool and I can’t wait to see her moveset and play style. (Her & the Kollector).

All this roster needs is ONE more male ninja, that’s it. Give me Rep, Smoke, Rain, OR Ermac as DLC. And I’ll be ecstatic. 11/10 as you say.

As for the 3D era DLC... i don’t really need it. Fujin, & Havic would be cool. But don’t need the others. (I actually think Haviks chances for DLC inclusion is at an all time high right now)

Those 4 I'd really like to see personally but for others I'd go for Drahmin (overhauled as hell but an Oni Tormentor with more sadistic torturer vibe and less flies would be cool), Fujin, Sareena, and either Triborg or Ermac. Although storywise I think the ending where Ermac was absorbed by a disembodied Shang Tsung to restore himself should be cannon. Every so often the legion of Ermac should try and struggle for control giving Shang a unique Jekyll and Hyde vibe, lol.

The only guest I'd want is Spawn but only one guest is a pipedream even more than Drahmin or Havik making it in, lol.

Who do you think will be the inevitable guest characters? I can't see them reusing characters from the previous games, so no Freddy, Jason, Alien, Leatherface, Predator.

I can tolerate Spawn, but I am sick and tired of horror characters. It's a massive waste of space.

At least Spawn has the credibility of not only being a combative being with a gritty disposition, but also having a history with fighting games. I'm not in the mood for another out of place horror villain. Might as well throw in Chucky.

I'm pretty sure - given all the celebrity inclusion this game seems to have - if Spawn is in, Michael Jai White will more than likely be portraying him.

That would be awesome. I personally don’t get the fervor around Pennywise. If a horror character is the route they take, than there are still better horror characters to use.

My personal wishlist, as far as guests, is Ash and John Wick.

Aren't they currently working on a spawn reboot with Jamie Foxx right now? I somehow doubt they're going to want to invest in tieing him to a 20 year old movie that they're poised to remake in the near future. That's like casting Stallone to play Judge Dredd on the precipe of release for the Karl Urban movie.

BUT being as Michael Jai White already has ties to Mortal Kombat, I'd give at least a, "Then again, who the hell knows?" *Shrug*

I am sick of guest characters in general. They’ve all sucked, and I never use them. Total waste of space. I’ll even take Fujin over any guest character. And I hate Fujin.

I'm taking the rumors & leaks with multiple levels of skepticism at this point honestly.

The base 25 (Give or take a Shao Kahn) I'd call a given.

The addendum about Mileena, Shinnok & Shang Tsung being secret characters, I'm hopeful about, but still taking with a grain of salt until we see some stronger evidence. I'd love it if true, but I'm keeping my expectations tempered.

The DLC rumors I've seen make for interesting conversation, but I've seen nothing to substantiate or validate any of them thus far. I'm not saying they may not pan out, but I'm not ready to take them as fact just yet.

I have seen a lot of Shinnok, Mileena and Shang Tsung being secret characters but at this stage there is nothing to suggest they are. We have not seen anything to suggest they are and they are not on the leaked character select screens. I still think back to the tower consumables or modifiers that had Rain, Shinnok, Cyrax and Reptile as a strike against Shinnok being playable. I am not saying Shinnok will 100% not be playable but until I see something then I am not considering Shinnok playable. As for Mileena and Shang Tsung there is pretty much nothing. Shang Tsung has got his stage and Mileena, well, literally nothing. She is not on the leaked list and is not shown anywhere else that we have seen.

To me the Kollector and Cetrion being secret characters make more sense.

& for the last damn time, Fuu-Jin & Sareena are NOT 3D era characters. I know the majority of you *cringes* people want to ignore Mythologies but too freaking bad! That's the game they debut in & if you don't like it well suck it.

That was an adventure game, and they weren't playable. Hence why no one takes that game into consideration.

Everyone is aware they debuted in mythologies, but when the topic at hand is the mainline fighting game rosters, and they made their debut as playable characters in the 3D era of said mainline fighting game rosters, it's not unreasonable to classify them in that era when discussing said rosters, as that is where they are most easily categorized. And anyone using a modicum of common sense understands that context.

Furthermore, while mostly a 2D game, Mythologies had 3D elements and was developed alongside MK4 to supplement its story. Mythologies released Oct 1 1997, and MK4 Oct 15 1997, so while it isn't a fully 3D game, and may in fact have beaten MK4 to release by mere weeks, acting like that makes it part of an era which typically encompasses the MK1-MK3 family of games is just misleading and asinine. Mythologies and MK4 were developed side by side, and Fujin was always meant to be a playable character in MK4.

Sure there are grey areas subject to nitpicks, but for the purposes of simple categorization, people often tend to call the MK1-MK3 family of games the 2D era and MK4-MKA family of games the 3D era. And while not necessarily a 3D game in and of itself, Mythologies is ABSOLUTELY part of the MK4 family of games. And Fujin & Sareena absolutely didn't debut in the MK1-MK3 era of games.

When Fighting Fuu-Jin & Sareena in Mythologies, it turns into a classic Mortal Kombat gameplay style boss fight.

& should Shao Kahn & Goro be Three-Dee Air-Uh characters too since that was when they were officially playable by normal means?

The more appropriate term for it would be the Midway Polygon Era. & MK4 was at best 2.5D. Vastly similar to The Arcade Killer Instinct games.

Without Mythologies, neither Fuu-Jin nor Sareena even be a consideration at this point
