Wouldn't make much sense to punish the fans when the leaks are coming from the developers and/or testers. Those are the ones they tried to police harder this time around, reportedly.

A better punishment would be to keep making them slave away in the studio for crushingly long hours to keep cranking out DLC content until they prove they can keep a secret, haha.

my only issue with mk vs dc no fatalities that are worth it

my brothers/step brothers had like every game they had on their preferred console so i did get to play all the games

but yeah mk vs dc was ok not my fav but it was dumb of them to not want to kill Batman/Superman it's a game like get over that excuse

Armageddon's roster pleased me. There were just a lot of other things about Armageddon that displeased me.

Same here, I actually got the Wii version a month ago. Konquest mode was such a pain in the ass to complete, haha.

People can be angry over the roster. It isn't a crime. I'm not particularly angry- I don't even hate the roster. I think it's miles better than MKX's. My only issue with MK11 as it was with MKX is that there is no longer any element of true surprise or shock when it comes to the roster. Sure, not every one makes it in but I miss the days when I used to be truly shocked at who made it in- take me back to the days of Deadly Alliance/Deception when you had no idea who in the hell would make it in- it was like a crapshoot- there was no telling who would return- only Subby and Scorp were safe. Now after MK9 and MKX, it doesn't surprise me any more when the classic Trilogy characters return. Sure, Jade and Noob weren't in MKX- but I think everyone safely expected them to return in MK11- their absences were almost characters in themselves. Same goes for Shang. Mileena a secret unlockable character? Cool but she's one of their flagship characters- we knew she wouldn't be down for long.

The only real surprises in this game for me are Skarlet and Frost, especially Skarlet considering she literally came out of nowhere- Frost has been on several leaked lists and while they all have been bullshit- when you keep seeing the same thing over and over it tends to have some root in truth- but still it's great to have it confirmed. Especially considering she managed to beat out the likes of similar 3D era characters such as Fujin/Bo/Kenshi/Quan Chi/Tanya/Li Mei ect for a spot on the default roster. I will also say, Shinnok being in is also a shock. So they got me there too.

So yeah, 2 curveballs and one nice addition. Still nothing like the old days. I would have hope in the DLC but considering WB's hard-on for guests I expect a high number of them to occupy several spots- so while I would cry tears of joy to see a few more 3D era faces slip in(Sareena, Li Mei, Fujin, Havik, Nitara ect) chances are pretty low- between the guests, the rest of the trilogy characters(Cyrax, Sektor, Smoke, Reptile, Sindel ect), the rest of the MKX newbies (Takeda/Kung-Jin, Ferra/Torr), and the 3D era characters NRS actually likes (Kenshi, Quan Chi, Bo) there's just no chance.

I really didn't mean to turn this into yet another 3D era character cry baby fest- I just use them because seeing some of them return would be shocking because they aren't likely bets. There's still some Trilogy characters I'd be shocked to see come back as well for the same reason (Khameleon, Sheeva, Rain ect). As a lifelong fan I just miss that thrill of excitement at seeing each reveal and going "HOLY SHIT I CANNOT BELIEVE X MADE IT IN!" and literally have that same legit reaction for most of the roster...

Perhaps I should realize those days are over. Risky rosters just aren't lucrative, I get it, but boy do I love a big swing every now and again like back in the DA/DEC days.

Yeah Armageddon is a good example of when the roster means F all because the one on one fighting mode is the weakest aspect of that game. I think the majority of people probably agree. My favorite part of that game was that beat-em-up Konquest mode

In light of the leak, I do have one minor complaint regarding MK11's roster: a lack of (for me) anticipated 3D era characters from 4 to 7 that I liked. It's not a big deal, but it would be nice to have more representation in general (assuming the leak's pretty accurate)

You totally get it. Like that's all I want. A well-balanced representation of all the eras of MK. The classic characters, 3D era characters, MKX newbies, and MK11 newbies. Just a nice big mash up of EVERYONE. Once again they ALMOST get it right...

If we could get just 2-3 more 3D era characters as DLC, I'd be a happy camper. That's all I need. You're so close Neatherealm...

Yeah, got all the relics so I could save my gold for the KAK mode. Only died like a few dozen times to complete Konquest, I'll just blame that on being rusty from last playing it a decade ago on PS2, lol

I'm willing to deal with this roster for the simple fact it does not continue the tradition of discarding most - if not all - new characters from the previous game. 5 of the 8 new MKX characters are in, more than half, which is a first since MK2. Literally. lol

In addition, there are also a decent amount of post-MK2 characters, which also levels it out a bit. It would've been nice to have gotten more outside DLC, but this is a massive step up from the shitfest that was MKX. I am satisfied.

can not choose both, there is probably a ton of reasons why Sonya, Johnny, Jax, Jacqui and Cassie are in, they are humans in the game (at least Sonya, Jax and Jacqui in a way) would be tiny bit weird if everyone was just monsters and magic people.they need a balance in a way

also Sonya is to MK like Wonder Woman is to DC you would never see them replacing Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman for someone like Blue Beetle to be the Leader, let's be honest (no hate)

I do agree that at least they kept some of the new characters, that new Outworld team grew on me (Kotal, Erron, D'Vorah). But I wished Takeda would be the only Kombat Kid to make the roster, and no longer be part of SF but take more of a role as Shirai-Ryu.

And if they're going to keep Cassie and Jacqui, at least take away Jax and one of Cassie's parents. Let some of these original MK Trilogy characters take a back seat and give a chance for at least just a couple of 3D era characters.

I so prefer Jacqui to her lapdog daddy. I just really can't stand Jax. He's the only character who's inclusion annoys me.

I WILL say, people complaining over different color schemes for characters are a little annoying. If you don't want a red Sub-Zero or Green Skarlet- then don't select those colors. Why come crashing down on everyone else's choice?

Just on the fun side, I could imagine a funny intro banter between Frost and Johnny Cage;

Agreed. I, too, don't really mind the roster too much at the end of the day but if you break it down, out of the 25 starting characters we got in X, 17 of them are returning for 11. SEVENTEEN. That's a fucking lot of returnee's when there's 80 something characters. Where the true gold for this game is going to lie, for me personally, is DLC....especially if the rumored ones are true. That will take this roster from a solid middle of the road C to a solid A in my book.

Never really got the appeal of either character. Going all the way back to MK2.

The MK1 characters I let skate for being classic, Ninjas (male or female) I let skate for being ninjas. But those two have just never blown my skirt up.

In Kung Lao's case, it's probably the hat. Jax.. .I got nothing.

Side note, just noticed I ranked up again. Seems kinda odd swapping a sword for a shuriken though

They don't have the option to be. WB are the ones who makes those Kombat Packs happen not NRS.
