So weird, I wonder if they declawed her like they declaw cats these days.

No, I think it's just to give you a clue as to what the hell she spawned from.

I will say this is the only vignette that gave me shivers......of excitement.

This is one of the few time I could actually visualize and feel Mileenas hate towards Kitana. Garlador pretty summed up what I'm trying to say, but looking in Mileenas eyes while she was fighting, and seeing her enjoying it just gives more in depth to her character.

My one complaint about it is that it's apparent nothing has been done with Kitana's hair. In case you miss Kitana's rubber hair bouncing about the place when Mileena attacks her, pause the video on Youtube as Mileena leaps to stab her when the screen turns senna (usually around the 40second mark), and you'll see for yourself how poor the quality is of Kitana's hair. You can visibly see the partition in graphics from where her hair begins to droop downwards and the graphics for her hair folicles don't even match up. I'm pretty anal about stuff like that, once I noticed Kitana's hair going crazy it annoyed me for the rest of the video. You'd think with the superior graphics they have with everything else they would have fixed this by now.

Overall I like it, the Mileena's theme really sets the mood that she's a gritty, nasty, dirty bitch who isn't afraid to sink her teeth into an opponent and enjoy her bestial nature. The imagery of herself and Khan was surprisingly moving as I don't think I've ever really seen Mileena interact with the man she calls her Father, and this shows Khan cares little for her at all, which probably fuels her lunacy.

I share queve's concerns though, she might not be the brightest bulb in the box but she's got some degree of a brain in there that's not completely unintelligent, as witnessed with her Military tactics in Deception. I think they're trying to push the "Sexy, Crazy, Child like psycho" image on us here and I hope we see more to her than that in story mode.

Yeah your promotional-argument makes sense, as Mileena ís evil, edgy and vicious...However, I don't think it's cool to promote one single character that much since not all of us like Mileena that much...Many people disliked the fact that Kang was pushed forward so much in the previous years, which I can understand, as it takes the spotlights away from other characters...Personally, i'd like to find out more about and see more of the other characters as well....Mileena is fascinating but I do not perceive her as a fitting protagonist of an MK game...and therefore all the attention kinda surprises me...

I saw that too. It was so noticeable.. It's horrible!! It flows a little bit better than it did in the beginning but...for them to overlook an error like that in the vignette really escapes me.

Hmm, i can really tell a diffrence now between kitana and mellina now. Other than the color that is. Also i like the double sai stab, it makes her looks savage and its well executed.

Nice, can't wait to see baraka, or i like to see a kung lao vignette!

The legs are attached because the clip after the fatality, where she jumps in front of the "camera" is her non-fatality win pose...they just snuck it in there for effect.

Those are her sais, she was holding them. I guess its like a rattle for a kid?

I love this vignette.. I also love how they are giving more personality to the characters and this childish sexy beast really suits Mileena. Music is great too.




I think the purpose of this vignette is to show off the personality they given her in this game. That doesn’t mean she won’t have a deep story. And don’t forget, Mortal Kombat has never had a REAL cannon story besides the intro movies. Hector has mentioned in an interview of a Dutch magazine that the story so far (known to the fans) is created by the fans by puzzling together bio’s and endings. And it is well known by now that not every bio and ending can be considered as cannon. I think that’s what the developers meant when they said we can expect changes in the story compared to the original games. I think their goal is to create a complete cannon story for the first time. And I’m sure that Mileena will play a big part in it.




I don’t mind if they don’t release such videos for every character online but it would be great if all the characters have stuff like this in the Krypt. If so the Krypt might be worthy of being in the game after all.

The video was great. I was never a huge Mileena fan, but stuff like this is what wins me over, over time. If they can keep this up for all the characters, be it on the site or in the game, they are definitely gonna make new fans for old characters. Some may think it doesn't depict her correctly, but nothing says that everything will be the same this time around as far as character's personalities go. The storyline reasoning may be that Raiden's changing certain things to steer away from Armageddon, but the reality is that they are rewriting the original games, so certain things and details could very well change this time. One thing is for sure, each character is getting much more personality this time around. With the purpose of building newer fans to the series and a younger audience who may not have even gotten into MK until recent years, it's important to recreate each character into something more unique and better than just simple palette swaps this time around.

I love these vignettes, the style and presentation is superb. I can only hope that my favorite characters receive them in the game as well.

Mindless killer (random zombie) does not equal psychopatic regressive killer (Mileena).

Just because she is indulgent and infantile in her behavior does not mean she is in her demeanor. While I doubt it is an act, Mileena can still be fairly intelligent. Just because she has zero restraint over herself does not mean she is stupid.



Interesting blades. And about the eyes, you know, in Outworld, where sick freaky magical shit happens daily a twin with different eyes might not be so far fetched. You know, they can be nonidentical twins.

But it's also just a visual metaphor for her Tarkatan side, she doesn't really have blades.

I don't know why but when I watched this video it made me laugh to no end..

But I actually like it, this video definitely gives off a darker vibe than the other two.

For some reason her outfit looks better in the pic with her and Kahn. And I am loving how you can see those glowing eyes even from a distance.

Can't wait for the others!

Her theme sounds like something from a level in Doom. That's not a bad thing, but yeah.

Got to be honest, though: never really wanted to see those flesh pits. Ugh. I feel like I should have more of an opinion than this, but I don't. Mileena looks good. Her story is about what I expected. Digging the slave girl pose at the end of the video (kinda reminds me of Leia's pose on the original Star Wars cover art).
