Im really enjoying all this new Mileena stuff. Although i would really love if we got some more combat stuff with her in it. and just to please everybody, maybe throw in Sonya, Sindel or Ermac. As long as Mileena wins, i dont care who she goes up against ;)

The vignette was awesome! It was quite interesting to see her with tarkatan blades but I guess it was just to show that she was part tarkatan.

Interesting. I guess Mileena really is vastly younger than Kitana. So I guess we know what really tipped her off to her true lineage.

It was a legitimately great fatality. I'm glad to see it make a comeback.


She just might be one of the characters that aren't particularly combo-happy. Not everyone in the game is gonna be as ridiculous as fucking Kung Lao with his 10+ hit juggles.


"A savage assassin with a hidden human side" was never her job description. She was always first and foremost a merciless psychobitch. The fact that she has actual human feelings was something we gradually discovered afterwards. I told you before,if this vignette got sappy on us with her inner feelings and emotions and everything,you'd be the first one to call it bullshit.

And Her theme is catchy. In fact I'm very interested in Songs inspired from the warriors. Will they all be techno or will it be different for fighters like Nightwolf or Kung Lao?

But Like I said before It's the combo video I'm looking forward to.

3. Her X-ray showing us if they changed or if they kept her lackluster punch in the stomach knee to the jaw thing

I'd also like to see some of the recently revealed characters like Sonya,Ermac,Jade or Sindel to show up as combo dummies but that most likely won't happen.

I like it a lot, actually. I like the freeze frames in game. One thing I do not like though is that damn announcer voice. Use something more like MK2. This new voice is not dark enough for me. I know its silly to pick on that but it bugs me.

I like how they showed her creation by Shang Tsung, being Shao Kahn's puppet and all. Wondering if they will show how she falls in love with Baraka in story mode. I've kinda always liked that storyline between the 2.

The music is fitting for Mileena, though not your average MK style music. Sweet none the less. Kinda makes you think of her slutty, beastly nature.

Mileena looks straight out from hell I swear. Her giggles, her intro, her movements, the yellow demon eyes, and the hideous razor sharp tarkatan teeth make her perfect in this game. They have done justice to all Mileena fans. While I admit I was never much of a fan of Mileena except for Deception, I am going to definitely consider her as one of my mains.

The torso rip fatality is a copy of Kira's as everyone mentioned, with the difference being that the legs rip away from the body as it's being pulled off. Actually liked that fatality for Kira and I like it for Mileena, but I do agree they could've done something more original.

I love the theme. I noticed when I bought the theme that it said Water Tower beside the 2011 part. Is that a music label now or could it be the theme for the stage as well?
Ah well, it was worth the buy! Can't wait for the rest now

I loved it! It was a nice surprise that fit everything I've thought about Mileena for a very long time.

Only complaint is still her costume... needs more sexy. Rather than showing more of her skin.

I think Razor's absolutely right about that Malibu Kitana & Mileena comic proving a huge influence on the way the characters were portrayed over the years. It shows. A lot of people still believe Kitana didn't know about her true lineage until MK2 - that's what that very comic depicted - but she always knew about it well in advance - that was specified in her ending itself.

It was a nice comic, but it was the only gem floating in a sea of non-canon crap.

Now, that said, I've been okay with this new angle on her personality, but this just sold it on me. This is a good beginning for the character to grow into the person we saw in MK4 - this psychotic child can grow a bit into a youth with entitlement issues.

My one disappointment is the Kira Fatality rip. Unfortunate, but we're likely to get her multiple sai stab as DLC at the least.


Another thing. This was posted a few pages ago. God almighty, beat me with a stick if that isn't one of the greatest, most visually striking Mileena images ever made. I am infinitely glad that they are finally letting her psychosis show through again after having her want to pretty much BE Kitana for ages. I was worried we'd start again with more of the same. Maybe it's destined to happen all over again, but I am so very thankful right now that we are where we are, if it means I can get to see her savage soul laid bare.

Finally:

I want....no, need a motherfucking Flesh Pits arena. Shit's gotta be done.

I REALLY hope she gets a DLC "Klassic Fatality" that adapts her silly old "eat 'em and spit out the bones" finisher into something that looks like THAT, because THAT is exactly how Mileena should finish her opponents.

I miss Mileena eating people, but not having her inhale them (though I'm sentimental to a point about it as it was the very first fatality I ever pulled off in the arcades). I figured her ripping off their head and chowing down on it a little was a possible answer to that.

It's apparently an area of sorts where Shang Tsung creates living creatures through unsavory, probably gory means. MKA showed us that was where Meat came from, and now Mileena too.

Her sucks you up and spits you out fatality from MK2 was a fuckin joke. I know that we are talking about MK which means over the top stuff, but that sort of crap makes MK look like freakin Looney Tunes.

This game is too serious for fatalities like Jax's giant stomp, Kitana's kiss where it seems as if air has been blown up your ass and youre made of rubber so you naturally look like a baloon before you explode, or Mileena's suck fatality from MK2. I am all for her eating the opponents face or something more in that direction, but a straight remake of that fatality? No fuckin way.

No one here's asking for that to be brought back exactly like it was. That's just silly. Honestly, if she were to just dig in with her teeth, rip out a bunch of segments from the ribcage, and start eating them alive, sucking their intestines up, and having that kind of thing go on as the camera fades out...maybe even panning away slowly...that would be more than enough for me. Hell, maybe too much. Ugh.

We KNOW Mileena is more than just crazy, and just because it's based on the time of MK2 doesn't mean they can't give her the traits they finally developed further in MKGold and (specially) in MKD.

"New Mileena love and worshipping"??? There's nothing "new" about it.

She's pretty much been one of the biggest and most popular characters since MKD. She was popular before, yes, but, always "one step behind" Kitana. Mileena has been more prominent/given more attention than Kitana thanks to MKD.



Kitana never had any promotional spotlight by herself, unlike Sonya (MK1, MK3, MK4, MKDA, MKA, MKvsDC) and Mileena (MKD, MK9). The only time Kitana had any big promotional moment was during MK2, but that was shared equally with Mileena (as the 2 only available female characters). Also for MKGold, but that was also shared with Mileena and the robots.



What pisses me off is that they've used Sonya to promote the game in, like, a billion Magazines all over the world and she even has her own a Magazine cover, but, still NO real video featuring her awesomeness. Fuck, there was already like a hundred pictures of her promoting the new game soon after she was "officially revealed" but still no HQ pictures online.

WTF? I miss the old days.

It's all been about those fucking annoying ninjas: Scorpion and Sub-Zero.

I'm glad Mileena was finally given her chance to shine, but, they've done a horrible job with this marketing.

MKvsDC's marketing was perfect. Even though they shoved down our troughs Scorpion, Sonya, and Sub-Zero, we still got various things featuring the rest of the cast (some bigger than others). Still, despite Scorpion, Subby, and Sonya having the main spotlight of that game, we saw decent content of everyone else.

I agree with you, but, your complain shouldn't be about Mileena...it should be about all those fucking 7+ months dedicated ONLY to the annoying ninjas: Scorpion and Sub-Zero.

Her personality should not ONLY be about her craziness. That shouldn't even be the main thing about her.

"Richest and most complex"?

Well, I can agree to an extentregarding Sub-Zero. But, Scorpion? not really.

Also, that's not really a valid post considering some characters who have just been introduced in the story (or who haven't been alive as long to have a looooong storyline) have richer and even more complex potential (Ashrah, for example).

There was absolutely nothing about her "clone sister Kitana". Nothing about her relationship with her as a team/rival and her thoughts concerning herself.

It had beautiful and amazing art, but, it was very disappointing to see Mileena being portrayed ONLY like a crazy mutant. There was nothing in that video that made me feel about her the way I felt back in the old days (and her glorious MKD days).



You are right on the part "show, don't tell", but, this kind of video is meant to show and tell the most significant aspects about the characters. It is promoting the game and characters to everyone, not just MK fans. I feel this is something very important and significant about her that should had been shown, at least a little bit.

Just because we "now know" about her real self and we "didn't know about it back in MK2 and it took us forever to see it happen" doesn't mean they should do it that way again. We all know they didn't really have "a plan" for most characters stories back then considering how it was written. It's already been too many years and they should know their characters better than the fans.

At this point in the chronology,yes,it fucking should be. Characters grow and change over time. As of MK2,her growth and development as a character hasn't even started yet. You wouldn't demand that Sonya's vignette would show us that she's the head of OIA,because at this point in the story,the OIA is not even in the fucking works.


And then by the time the game was released,there was absolutely nothing to discover. Aside from Dark Kahn,there weren't even any unlockables. Fuck that,I want to be surprised. It took my over a year to unlock everything in MKDA. That's one of the reasons it's my favorite game in the series.

I'd kinda agree. It wouldn't have hurt to mention that Mileena was created to be Kitana's clone. It's kind of an important detail.

However,the vignette does mention that she hates Kitana and considers her her rival (probably a rival for daddy's attention). That's sufficient. I have zero doubts that the story mode will greatly elaborate on that. Y'all need to stop freaking out.


You can't expect NRS to shove ten or so years of actual in-universe time's worth of character development into one game. And you certainly can't expect them to shove it all into a one-minute teaser.

Best vignette so far in MK!!!!!!!! Love her story and the background i love her badass music theme!!!!!!!!!! Also i cant wait to see her 2nd fatality hope they will show it ASAP or like another content. I hope her 2nd fatality is just ripping the body and throw it I wanna see nasty!!! I want her to eat their organs, guts and then throw them AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
