I've always wanted to see Cyrax and Sektor in their humans forms and I'm glad they're in the game, BUT I'm disappointed they don't look more like ninja's, then again I guess that would defeat the purpose of showing us their faces. Still tho, Sektor didn't need the pony tail, he resembles Shang too much and almost all of the male characters in MK already have long hair.

Originally? The Predator, I'm sure.

And it has just carried over since then by tradition.

Fact: Quoting game designers in an attempt to prove or disprove a theory about the future of the MK franchise is a fool's errand. Sometimes what they say on the subject proves to be accurate, other times it does not. Somehow life goes on.

You know, aren't these versions of the characters a little...stupid?

I think the assumption was always that the reason they were made into cyborgs is so that they could have all kinds of deadly new abilities. Like bombs, missiles, flamethrowers, etc.

Now their human forms could supposedly do all those things already? wow

What's the point?

Ah i see, thought there would be a little more to it than that, but anything based on predator is pure winning!

You bring up an excellent point there. I guess....just so they could have all that built in to themselves...?confused

Storywise, they may have been promised any number of things. I'm certain that as robots they're stronger physically, more durable, etc. But in reality, I think the biggest boon was meant to be total obedience to the Lin Kuei (although they were naturally not told). The group is hardly moral, mind you. Kidnapping, murder, unholy rituals... The idea of an army of superpowered, totally obedient robot assassins likely tickled the the Grandmaster's fancy.

The Shirai Ryu splintered off for a reason, after all.

I suppose, but I would tend to say that anybody serious enough being part of the group to volunteer to become a freakin' robot would be just about a loyal as you could ever want already.

You just don't get it do you........

They all had abilities before becoming cyborgs. But they were made into cyborgs because think about a warrior that can take loads of damage, unlimited stamina and yes, will have new and easier methods of using their old abilities.

I think this clown fatality is awesome! I for one was pissed when I learned that MKDC was going to have a censored version of the joker finisher, so this is total redemption. What could be more terrifying than watching a guy turn into a clown for the sole purpose of blowing your brains out?? Epic win!

Well, I think the idea was to get a few volunteers to perform a duty they certainly wouldn't have volunteered for otherwise; the capture and automation of their less co-operative comrades.
