LOL if anything they will borrow a style from a human character. But for sure not an completely unique fighting style.
I bet they still will use the normal attacks

Was Cyrax being black mentioned at all prior to his MKG ending? I can't actually remember, but if not, then technically Kai came first.

No, it was first revealed in MKG I believe. We talked about this a few pages back.

Yea as far as I know, we were never even hinted to any Cyborgs origin until Cyrax in MKG. I mean Smoke's one ending in the MK3 era looks like hes white. But I dont think there was anything else.
Alot of Sek/Cy fans (more sektor fans) were nervouse because of the mix-up in DOTR where Cyrax was of asian decent and Sektor was what looked of African decent.
The Tekunin and that he ran to Japan of all places, kind of payed hint to the idea that he may have been asian, but we literally never knew until those screens were released... well....officially anyways.

Ever since the Tekunin thing, I imagined Sektor being Japanese.

Sektor is Chinese like Sub-Zero and Noob Saibot

Based on that Sektor's Father was the Grandmaster and he was Chinese, the Lin Kuei are based in China.

How did this clown picture tie in with Shang Tsung? I don't really get it.

I think the guy who posted the picture said it was.

Assuming He is chinese is understandable. But don't EVER claim fact when its never been said for sure within the MK canon, especially on MKO.
If i had to GUESS, I would say chinese based on from thos exact ideas. But we know Takeda was said to be Japanese (not 100% fact MK:C). And he had to be a high rank in the Lin Kuei. Because he left, survived and succeeded in leading another clan all together. Even produced that of which rivaled the Lin Kuei.
Based on his face from the leaked screen, Its gotta be chinese or Japanese. Anything else would be a huge surprise.
Again, no proof, dont claim it fact....ever.

Never stated as fact Casselman, just what I think he is.

Really... Because I scroll up and see...
Theres no "I think that" or "my opinion is"
"Is" implies a sense of presence as more of something factual. Try to be more careful next time :)

Are there any other leads that says the Lin Kuei is Chinese other than "Lin Kuei" meaning "Forest Demons" in Chinese?

"The actual name or identity of this warrior is unknown. However, based on the markings of his uniform, it is believed he belongs to the Lin Kuei, a legendary clan of chinese ninja."

Awesome. ^^
So, it states that the Lin Kuei is Chinese, so it's most likely having its HQ hidden somewhere in China. However, that doesn't necessarily mean the Grandmaster is Chinese. They seem to take in warriors from around the world, Smoke being Czech, Cyrax being from Africa, and the Subbie brothers having American blood in them as well as Chinese.
Sektor could be Japanese, which would also explain why he calls his own clan of cyborgs for Tekunin. It's just speculations though.

well, they kidnap babies (is that canon?) so presumably a Lin Kuei could be from anywhere, but the clan itself is definately stationed in China.
Did they ever say if Takeda was japanese or chinese? I mean he fled to japan, but that could've been more a matter of convenience. Its unlikely dude would go back to his home town (at least at first) if he was on the run from a league of master assassins.

Who is this Takeda?
Takeda is a Japanese name though.
