I'm calling Havik, despite the tweet about him and despite the insider info from various people..

If Boon actually thought little of Havik(based on that tweet mentioned about him saying Havik had six fans), they would not have included him in an ending (he was one of the few post MK3 characters to show up in endings).


I really hope it's not Cyber Smoke, I'd prefer to just get a skin for him.

Anyways, to say Cyber Smoke will just be a skin surely has to be wrong? He should (read *HAS TO*) have different moves to normal Smoke. Chest trident or no money from me!

Classic skin compatibility pack would be an alternative option, though as long as its not a guest character, I'm not going to complain if Cyber Smoke is indeed our guy.

Yeah I would have no problem if it is just a skin, but then they must treat it as just a skin and give us a proper 4th character.

If it IS a skin pack I demand a Ed Boon skin for Quan Chi!

I figure if it's a Cyber-Smoke costume then it will probly have the same treatment as the human Cyrax and Sektor alts.

i came to this forum what two nights ago and someone had the gull to say hey if people dont know all the mk mythology should they be labeled fans....

now as a gamer and a mk fan i want something fresh and new. i dont want multiple ninjas or bots in mk.

i love rain just as much as everyone else but for real the 4th dlc should either be a whole new person from the mk universe or maybe it could be someone like hornbuckle.

now just because i disagree with all the robot smoke nutjobs should that label me as a non true fan since i dont want the same god fucking charachter thats already in the game?

Well, if I'm going to guess any MK characters, I'd say:

- Mavado -
He's got cool moves and would be flashy enough for a reveal at Comic-Con. Honestly, makes the most sense to me.

- Reiko -
Now this might just be fan-fare but Reiko is a character that would make some sense coming into MK9. While I don't believe he'll be entirely awesome, I do think he would be a fine addition alongside Rain, Kenshi and Skarlet.

- Sub Zero (Unmasked) -
Might be just speculation, but the silhouette looks like Subby to me. Not sure what anyone else thinks. I personally wouldn't be the biggest fan of this.

- Cyber Smoke -
It makes sense because he was in MK3/UMK3 and would complete the cast.

- Havik -
Like Mavado, I believe his moves would be flashy enough for a big reveal at Comic-Con. While he's not an iconic character, he is a very intriguing one. I can only imagine what they could do with him.

- Tremor -
If only to please the fans that have wanted him in the game for this long. I highly doubt he's the character but I think he would be a interesting choice.

- Shinnok -
Now I would hope they save him for the next game but he would be a slam dunk of a final downloadable content piece of the Kenshi/Rain/Skarlet combo.

- Daegon -
I believe this another me connecting what the silhouette looks like but it does look a lot like him...you can agree. At least if we're basing his appearance on his lone MK: Armageddon appearance.

- New Form of Liu Kang -
Whether it be the new Elder God Liu Kang or zombie Liu Kang, I think there's some potential here.

- Fujin -
The sound file obviously raises some questions but at this point, I highly doubt it's relevant to their plans to release him as a downloadable character. Unless they really did do something incredible with him.

- Kai -
Highly unlikely but a possibility. I think his combination of flashy kicks and fiery moves could be interesting on a 2D plane.

- Tanya -
She makes the most sense, but the whole Comic-Con release kind of throws everything off to me. She's a popular character but I think they might be waiting to bring her back in the next game.

- Sareena -
I hate to use the word potential again but Sareena has it. I think the possibility of her being the character was greatly reduced since they announced the unveiling at Comic-Con.

why are some people so desperate that cyber-smoke "can't be a costume" and "has to be a new character"? cyber-sub was important to the story and deserved a new moveset, smoke already has a teleport and a fucking smoke-bomb. he could be a cyborg and all his moves would still make sense.

anyway, it's so obviously not cyber-smoke i cant believe anybody's even suggesting him as a possibility. the dlc characters are canon - cyber-smoke isnt. you do the maths.

What better place than ComicCon to reveal BATMAN? You know, it wouldn't surprise me because it seems like the laziest option for them to reuse material from MKvDC.

On a more serious note, I really don't care who we get. At this point whoever the character is, it can never live up to the ridiculous hype this mystery character has created.

My comment right above yours says it isn't at comic-con its down the street from it which makes your comment to match up to whats really going to happen but i agree it doesn't matter who it is it won't live up to the hype its created.
