Soul Calibur has the most ridiculous crossover characters ever. Yoda, Darth Vader, the Apprentice, Spawn, Heihachi, Kratos, Link, Necrid.

Necrid, Darth Vader and co. were completely stupid, but it didn't stop me from liking SC2 and SC4.

Necrid was cool because he was an original character. I liked Darth vader also, but he was broken to high hell.

I like to say that when I first saw that it is Freddy K. I felt dissappointed because I was hoping for a MK character. Didnt matter who, just any MK character.

I am just glad that DLC characters arn't allowed in tournaments, because that would just make the game to me a laughing stock seeing some one using it, when this franchise is trying to get back into tournament scene.

Now on one hand I dont mind if he is in just as long as we get more additional MK DLC characters or atleast some new stages (Like the OLD PORTAL for example).

As I think of it more, if down the line in the near future they announce additionla DLC characters + Jason then fine, I'll support NRS and end up getting Freddy + Jason if it means more MK DLC characters.

Because at the end of the day they may have been told long before the game was released that they had plans for Freddy & Jason DLC. Remember this is a business and WB has given NRS the oppertunity to give life once again to the MK franchise.

You have to some times step out of the FANBOY shoes and see that Ed Boon has to some times give a little & he may or may not want this in reality. This is a business and some times when your partners you gotta compromise to move ahead.

Just know this isn't just about you, but also about ED Boon and thier job security. So as of now I am on the fence if I will decide to buy the freddy DLC or just wait and see whats ahead.

NRS has taken this MK game seriously,why?,because they are finally having a functional fighting engine,thing the last games didnt have AT ALL,if you like character looks and all that,is ok,but MK is not a beauty contest as i told.is a f*ucking fighting game that is on it's way (hope) of being taken seriously in the fighting game community again,remaining things and all the fluff goes with the wind....

I wonder if he has any secret moves, or illusion like moves.


I hope he has some sort of special attack that randomizes the opponents attacks and moves for a short period of time.

This MK is finally a game in the series with some really good gameplay, good storyline and a solid roster. Fans of other more serious fighting games have actually praised this game for the boost in the right direction.

Putting Freddy Krueger in as DLC shows that NRS doesn't even support their own game. They are selling out. They piss all over the integrity and don't even respect their own creation.

Whats the forum got to do with it ? I would assume that if we were on a Mortal Kombat forum, everyone would already be a fan. Say what you will, but this game was making people rethink their opinions of MK and maybe give a little respect back to NRS. I don't know if Kratos/Freddy change that, but it can't help if your character select screen is starting to resemble a MUGEN game.

Soul Caliber and Street Fighter has had guest characters consistently. Characters like Spawn, Link, Darth Vader, Yoda, and now Freddy Krueger. Don't get me started on Super Smash Bros. and Marvel vs Capcom.
