If it was Tanya, I wouldn't care, i'd download her but it doesn't get a reaction. Freddy got a HUGE reaction. But since it's not MK, and you "die hard" MK fans don't like it, you think NRS is spitting on you. For one, they don't owe any of you a god damn thing. You owe them and WB for even buying, and making a new MK game. Without them, your beloved Rain, or Scorpion, and Jade wouldn't be shit. Hell, they weren't really shit in the past games. Now they're actually characters with a personality. Because WB and NRS. So for you all to talk bad, or say shit about them. You should fucking check yourself and see what they did to your favorite game franchise. They added everyone from the old games, the classic stages, the classic music, the classic feel. But because they wanted to do something different like adding a guest, you get mad? Get real. Get fucking real people. Don't cry over spilt milk, you still have 29 or so MK characters to choose from.
I don't owe anybody anything for making MK. They didn't make it personally for me or anyone else, they made it to make money for themselves. They didn't do it out of charity. They did a good job so I bought thier game. That is the extent of what I owe them...the price of the game. As such anyone can bitch and whine about whatever they want in regards to the game. They paid for it. Just ignore them if they bother you that much.

He doesn't have a role in Mortal Kombat, Crow. It's a guest character. It's all pretend. Non-canon. It's not like he's going to be mentioned in future games. grin

Freddy looks awesome--if he's balanced, I say bring him on, and any other character like him. I'm not at all surprised by the reaction of this board--as a group, you are never happy.

If you don't mind Freddy or like him, make sure to tweet boon and team, so that they hear something besides the constant whining and crying.

Eh, no one's leaving. A few skulls here and there and it's all good. I think that alot of this thread was gut reactions from people. I wasn't above that either, by any means. The person that said that they wanted their money back? Yeah, that was me. I'll own it. I just really wanted a new MK character.

But honestly, I've had time to think about it and I'm just excited to have another character on the roster and who knows, he could be really cool and fun to use.

Truth be told, I wasn't nearly as high on Rain being in this game as many others were, but after using him, I'd have to say that he's an absolute blast.

So yeah, if they can really take advantage of what makes the Freddy character, then he could turn out to be someone that alot of people, even the initial haters (like me) could end up using a ton.

With this game engine and an NRS team that clearly knows what they're doing, I think that we could see some magic yet again. We'll see!

Xena did have her own fighting game... Even though the creators who made that made the world's most horrible Superman game.

Surprisingly, it wasn't that bad of a fighting game, I mean it does have one of my all-time favorite Xena characters in it, Velasca. Each characters had a variety of different moves... some had more than others...

I thought I would be the last one to say this after being an MK fan since the 90s, but I almost like some of the story aspects this represents (knowing that none of it is cannon). Think about it. You have these mighty MK warriors, strong, tough, and deadly. You have guys that shoot ice balls, spears, fireballs, steal souls, and giant warriors with four arms. Then you have Freddy Krueger, a skinny, lanky, creepy guy. And you have said deadly warriors getting completely trounced in their sleep by said skinny, lanky, creepy guy. It's kinda fun if you think of each battle as a dream scene.

So, I'm pumped for Freddy. He seem's like the type of character I would really enjoy. My mains are Smoke, Kabal, and Reptile, and does remind me a bit of all three. (Ground projectiles, juggle based, fast teleport still move.) And people have already been talking like he might be top tier. I'm genuinely excited. grin
