I think they look great. The simplicity is a nice change.

Look cool. I find them more interesting than Noob and Smoke's MK2 retros.

I wish they made Jade a bit darker for continuity purposes. She looks way lighter than she does in her other costumes.

I have a feeling they'll throw out a classic skins pack(not free of course) for Rain(MK3) & Skarlet(MK2).

I finally got a chance to rent and try out MK(2011) earlier, and surprisingly enough, I was the most impressed with Kitana's gameplay style (visual and execution-wise).

To see this new "Blueberry and Lime" trailer with MK2style Kitana and Jade, however...their MK2 attires trump their current outfits by a long shot---both their primaries and alternates.

I always thought for a future MK, Kitana should wear something based closer to her MK2 look, Jade on her UMK3 look, and Mileena with a mix of her current and Deception primary looks. Just from an aesthetic viewpoint, any ways. But yeah...I am loving those MK2 threads for Kitana and Jade! Truly, they are classic...

The MK2 costumes looks great! Wish Jade's skin was a tad darker and that she had brown hair but not too big a deal. I hope Mileena and even Skarlet (if only for shits and giggles) get MK2 costumes eventually.

Well, if he can't come up with something, it could be because Sub-Zero's blue is involved. I mean, after blueberry, what else is there that's "blue"?

My guess is either MK3 Cyber Sub-Zero and MK2 Mileena (the two left out of the two-of-three releases) or MK2 Sub-Zero and MK2 Scorpion (since we know they have the MK2 model). My gut's leaning towards the former, leaving Sub/Scorpion for the next batch of DLC characters (especially since Mileena and CSZ would more or less close out their retros).

And with the schedule for this batch as it was, mark your calendars! July 25 - DLC #4 trailer July 30 - DLC #4 compatibility pack trailer August 2 - DLC #4 release. ;)

Commence the two weeks of debating on who's next! :P

Oh baby does Kitana's mk2 costume look freaking awesome!! It's so simple. Thank you NRS. No shoulder pads, big belts, or unnecessary cleavage.

If only there was a way to set which costume the computer used so I never have to see their primaries again.

I'll definitely stick with the mk2 for Kitana and the UMK3 for Jade. The two ladies are set now.

Now please give me a retro Sonya costume NRS and maybe a retro Raiden as well.

To be honest I didn't know why people where demanding these so much, but they do look good i'l admit.

I think it goes to show that there will only be pallette swaps for the costumes so expect UMK3 Ninjas!

Hmm... I was hoping for new characters to get the klassic makeover. But then again these are free and they look better than the MK3 outfits they already had.

In her gameinformer render she was dark-skinned, then when NRS officially released that render months later- she was light!

Yeah, I suppose expecting anything really different or decent is unrealistic, as they are free after all. It would just be nice if they occasionally acknowledged that there is 20 other characters in the game

I feel like such an imbecile, it was quite obvious who Blueberry and lime were going to be, yet I still allowed myself to believe that Sonya Blade was getting a DLC!

They should.
If they'd make a pack with kassic costumes for several of the non-"ninja" characters and ask maybe 5 dollars/4 euros for it or something that would be cool. I think lotsa people would buy it. It's like with the first klassic pack. Of course those were all on-disc already but NRS had to design them then as well.
But I'm suspecting that's the sort of stuff we're gonna see when they're through with the 4 DLC characters. That and maybe some klassic fatalities.
If they'd mix that up (for example 5 klassic costumes/fatalities per klassic pack) they could even charge a little more for it. I bet they'd still sell well.
