You've missed 2 Male ninjas

MK1- Loose hood, cloth facemask, simple shinguards
MKII- tight hood, BMX-styled facemask and shinguards
UMK3- tight hood, significantly different torso (colored squares instead of the whole top being one color), back to simple shinguards, with a custom-made facemask.

The UMK3 one was the only one they really "created"... the others were made of pieces of random equipment.

I did that on purpose. They wouldn't have fit in, and I made my point clear enough with just using these.

To turn this into on-topic - THIS is how a female ninja should look like in a fighting game! Therefore I would never, and I mean NEVER accept the so-called female MK ninjas as ninjas. ^^

A female ninja should be a 14-year-old girl with strawberry-colored hotpants, bright blonde hair, a sunny disposition, pink sandals, and the body of an anorexic supermodel?

As opposed to a lethal assassin that dresses in dark clothing, pulls her hair out of the way 'cause she's all business, uses hidden weaponry in fans, actually kills people on a daily basis, and doesn't stand out in the shadows like a Fourth of July firework on a dark night?

Er, I was going to say something else, but then my head got fuzzy and I realized my lip prints are now all over the screen on Kitana's picture in naughty areas. Stupid, sexy 10,000 year old ninja princess assassin....

I've always loved Taki's ninja-design, though her style seem somewhat futuristic considering the game is supposed to take place in the 17th century.

Dude, I like ya, but I do not... even... remotely agree with you... on that last paragraph.

I can see it in Soul Calibur, because that's kindof the feel that game has... a kind-of regal... over-the-top anime look... but that design would look ridiculous in Mortal Kombat. And she looks no more "ninja" than anything MK has produced. She has ninja-ey elements... swords, the shoes... that small amount of mesh in her neckline... but she's overwhelmingly pink... and has a cheerleader hair-do. Nothing about her says "stealth" or "deadly" to me. She doesn't even have a mask!

Frankly I WOULD say the MK2 female design is more "ninja" Aside from the bright colors (of which I admit, MK is equally guilty) it's far far far more... believable. Subdued. Practical. Not the most inspired design but... I'd believe it way better as an actual ninja.
