Fatalities aren't happening for free. Palette swap outfits are one thing (one time design and animate, then just re-color them), but klassic fatalities are quite another. Not only do they too need to be designed and animated, but they also need to be programed and have mo-cap and audio work done for each one. That isn't cheap, so it's not going to be given away for free.

Besides, Cyrax and Sektor didn't come with klassic fatalities, so why would Kitana and Jade all of a sudden get them?


To be fair, I'm reading it as saying the combo of Skarlet and Mileena aren't in the next pack; not that Mileena isn't. But we'll just have to wait and see in two weeks for sure.

You know, I think it's more the nostalgia factor that people like these outfits for, considering my own experience went with(as in played not owning), MK1, Mk3, trilogy ,mk 2... Im used to them having their MK3 ouutfits, I always thought their outfits looked silly in mk 2 and I still do... so I''m not quite impressed with this aswell... (though I migh learn to love a mileena one, and jade is sporting it quite well)

I probably learn to love them though, atleast it's alot different then the MK 1 and Mk2 male ninja outfits... (which I kind of hope will not happen, theres so little difference between them, I rather have Mk3 ones.... )

I'm not crazy about these retro costume. Personally I think the MK2 look for the females are too conservative, and I think we where fine with the MK 3 versions. Also since the compatibility packs seem to be going in reverse game order from MK3, I'm guessing the last pack will contain MK 1 costumes. Probably for at least kano, not sure who else though.

Not really. I think every MK3/UMK3/MKT attire looks like shit, but considering they managed to make the god awful UMK3 female ninja attire look good, maybe they can even pull off the miracle of making the UMK3 male ninja attire look good.

Whoa whoa, hold up right there... You think the DLC costumes of Kitana, Mileena and Jade's UMK3 classic costumes look good?

The UMK3 Male ninja costume looked amazing back in the time of UMK3 and would look equally as awesome in this game. It wouldn't be a miracle to keep the costume looking just as good.

In a nutshell, yes absolutely.

I loved Scorpion's MK Deception alternate outfit (MK Armageddon main)... I think it is the latex look... I wouldn't mind that...

I never said otherwise. If you recall, when the Jade render was first posted I was quite impressed that they managed to make the piss poor UMK3 female ninja outfit look amazing.

If they can make that work, maybe they can even make the god-awful, terrible, vomit inducing spandex ninja gear from UMK3 look like something other than the worst costume design ever.

Actually, I take that back. Tobias' original drawings were a lot better than they turned out to be.

Spandex or not, these are my favourite of all the palette swap looks.
And I am not really a fan of the palette swap look.

Since it's pretty much a given that palette swaps are coming next, hopefuly it's UMK3, it's the only ninja costume for the males I actually like.

FINALLY someone who agrees with me.

I agree that they did a surprisingly good job with the ladies' UMK3 gear.

I think that's why I'm just a *pinch* less impressed by these MKII outfits, which don't seem as vibrant and true to the source.

Don't get me wrong- I love them and will be using Kitana's quite a bit (Jade's Main is already her best look, IMO),
I just feel like the UMK3 job was a bit more accurate to the original.

I have faith they can make a great-looking UMK3 suit for the men-
just check out Smoke's Main. I personally dig it, though-
I think it worked well, especially on Ermac, Reptile, and Rain.

It's worth noting that that "wine-colored" Rain was only in the UMK3 Attract.
He was neon, Mileena Purple when he made his playable debut.

Is there even a easy to point out diffirence between the ninjas outfits from the first three games they look like they never even changed the design.Any one care to point out the diffirences between their first three looks.
