Not sure if you read the earlier pages, but there was a whole conversation on Smoke if you're interested. I personally want him to be a human this time around. I just think that he has more potential that way. I gave a few reasons at the bottom of page 10 if you're curious about the argument in favor of Human Smoke.
Razor, I was also kinda curious as to what you thought about my comment at the bottom of page 10 regarding Human Smoke. You seem to be highly in favor of robot Smoke and were looking for some type of argument to convince you otherwise. I didn't see that argument materialize from the person you were originally talking to about it, so I thought I'd jump in.
If you have a minute, feel free to let me know what you think, for better or worse!

So I am guessing we have seen all there is to see from GamesCom? Really happy with the reveals and the pics but I am already salivating for more. Vids or something. Pax can't come soon enough

It could be a translation mishap, where they meant one thing but the translation made it something else. But I dunno, I mean if they give them all three great fatalities then hey go ahead.
This means that Cyrax's newest fatality isn't a classic one (from the description we've gotten of it atleast). Does that mean he'll have the Self-Destruct one and the Helicopter?
Cage has the Decapitation punch COMBINED with the Torso Rip this time around.
Kung Lao has the Decapitation combined with the split down the middle, and also has a new one with the buzzsaw hat type of thing.
Scorpion's got a new one involving his sword.
Sub-Zero has a variant of the Spine Rip (I believe).
Mileena's is like Deception's I believe.
I actually don't remember Nightwolf's right now.
Sektor's is new too, with the missiles being sent out (I believe).
Reptile has had fatalities involving acid vomit before.
So this is kinda weird, but also interesting to speculate.

Oh, my bad. I never played MKSM
Still, it leaves the door open with a lot of characters on which fatalities will be around.
Hopefully get to see Scorpion's Toasty again. MK vs. DC didn't do it justice IMO.

Yea in MKvsDC is was to soft and dry, I want it to be juicy with blood, explosions inner detail, like the fire burns though his skin and you see flesh and its dripping from his body, forget exploding, make it realistic as hell, not like a burnt piece of toast.
I am really pleased with the look of Kitana this time around. I get pretty tired of hearing people say her new look is a rippoff from whoever. It's 2010 and there have been thousands of video game characters created, something is always borrowed or inspired from something else.
I agree with those who said the MK team is limited by how much they can really change her look. I think that's why I see many people asking for a regal/dress type outfit. Seriously though, what princess wants to fight in expensive royal clothing? It's much easier to get blood off your body than clothes. So less clothes makes for an easier clean up, lol
Since all characters will have their own opening sequence, I think a great compromise is to have her in a completely princess type attire only to rip it off for battle revealing her current costume we have seen.

As much as I would love to see a "princess looking" Kitana, it wouldn't work for this game. MK 1-3 she is an assassin and hasn't reclaimed Edenia and become that princess figure. Sure the storyline will change due to Raiden but I doubt that it would make her become a princess any sooner.
On the other hand though, Kitana can still look regal in her assassin's clothes. These are things that need to be represented by her hair, face, body language, voice, etc. So far Kitana just looks like a stripper and not like an assassin. Mileena looks like a stripper but that's always been her thing. Not Kitana's.

Post release balancing. Are you serious? Is it too difficult to get some playtesters that ya know, don't suck? Oh no, I guess that's too much to ask. Its great that they're planning on fixing glitches after the release, but those glitches shouldn't be there in the first place. The team needs to spend their time making sure that there are as little bugs in the game as possible and not have to rely on us finding them after the release -_-

No problem. And yeah hahaha I shuddered when I thought about the arcade drop. If they want to include a classic fatality for Liu Kang, put the DRAGON IN THE GAME.

It's absolutely ridiculous to think that a few game testers over a few months can find all of the glitches and balancing issues that a few million experienced fighting game players would find.
