Really, the only costume I don't like is Scorpions. It's lacking detail in the chest area. Just looks plain to me. The other three are great though. My favorite has to be Sub Zero's costume.

First and foremost, it's not always the same people and two there are countless people who come through this forum everyday, people like and dislike different things. Go to any forum, you will find complaining, fairly heavy complaining in addition to praise.



In relation to the costumes, no I do not like Scorpion's, at all. I don't really care for his primary, but they made the chest look bland and cheap, which really hurt the product.


Kitana and Mileena have costumes that are decent.

Sub-Zero's is fairly good though.


I'd check out the ninja costumes for the whole palette swap on Ebay, those are great, they're a hundred dollars and up, but totally great looking quality.

I'm actually surprised they're even going for that price, they're a mess to look at. I mean I'm a guy and I can pull off a Mileena outfit better than that. What happened to the outfits from the MKasting videos of Sonya, Mileena and Kitana? A Jade outfit would look amazing too, considering her's is the most visually engaging and probably the easiest to construct too.

In regards to the men's wear, Sub-Zero's is decent but overpriced. Knock another 20 off that and it'd be considerable. Scorpions just looks like what a Goth would wear to a Bondage/S&M night.

i find it funny that people expect $50 costumes that are sold at costume stores are supposed to look like movie quality detail (or game quality) the outfits the ladies put on the sonya kitana mileena videos was done from scratch with custom make up etc. and would take quite some time to put on, the ninjas have so much detail with straps around the guards and armor would take a long while to put on, and costumes sold at stores are make so they can be easily put, on i understand why people complain about scorpions is because he doesn't have that scaly plated pattern across the black jumpsuit but again its a simple black sleeveless jumpsuit for easy fitting, but you have to admit atleast they are adding the shoulder arm and shin guards and the mask looks spot on

Simple, Sub-Zero and Scorpion are like mascots of MK as Ken and Ryu are for Street Fighter.

Then Kitana and Mileena are just the female mascots because in one of their trading cards, I believe Mileena's, Boon downright said they're like the Sub-Zero and Scorpion version with their rivalry.

So, that's why they're always picked... Well, it might not be the true statement but you at least can understand why they are always the chosen ones.

Not to mention, by offering these four,
they can potentially double-up on sales
if friends decide to be "Scorpion vs. Sub-Zero" or "Kitana vs. Mileena".

and this cool UMK3 Kitana,
but I don't feel like crossdressing.

Because nobody wants to dress up as Jarek.

The reason they chose them is obvious, the reason why they never create costumes for other iconic characters is not.


I wouldn't mind seeing a Kano, Sonya, Johnny Cage, Liu Kang etc.

The only reason Ebay has other ones is mostly because people did Cosplays, not official companies doing them, but at least you get a quality and unique product for what you pay for, maybe next year I'll buy that Chris Redfield costume, so boss.

It's always burned me up that I haven't been able to find even a good costume shop that could tailor-make me a badass, authentic looking, just freaking tricked out Raiden costume (even if it costs me alot [[couple hundred bucks? couple thou?...dunno what something like this would cost]]). I've had his MK1 hat since like...jr high though. Nothing has ever rrreally impressed me beyond that though.

I think this idea is extremely cool but, nah...I'd pass on these particular costumes.

That'd be an easy costume to do, though.

The two costumes are inter connected, for some reason the link takes you to the MK V DC one no matter what I tested it after reading your post, you have to go to the MK v.s DC costume first, then scroll down and click on the flashing images of the costumes to get to his Shaolin Monks costume. The Shaolin Monks costume is also a private listing, which means you have to actually search for it, it prevents link posting, which is why the link takes people back to DCU Raiden.

they only one that looks "ok" is Mileenas but...not that great and especially not for the price range.

I would probalby dress up for Halloween like perhaps 5 years after I succeed for radiology and make enough dough to get me an Ezio Assassin robe :P

ok i just got the scorpion costume it arrived today and i tried it on, soon as i saw this stuff i was really disappointed, the preview image made the armor look like they put time into painting the armor what i have was ridiculously over sized almost paper thin foam armor which looked like 5 seconds was put into painting them like someone took the paint brush and was doing quick slashes the mask isn't a full mask just the kind with just the front part and with a strap around it to hold it in place, and they got the loan cloth design wrong too.

so my suggestion is to not buy these, the previews make them look waaaaay better than they actually are, overpriced crap costumes

i say you guys are better off making your own MK costumes or buying custom made ones on eBay made by cosplayers who know what they are doing

That crap ain't got NOTHIN on these two.....
