Nah I really don't care. If it's Skarlet/Ruby I'm reserving judgement until we get her story and she how she plays. Though I have to say the outfit is pretty bland and way too revealing.

I'm still wondering why some of you are looking into things too deeply when to me I feel that it's there just for show. Easter Eggs are known to exist in this game. If this character is the so-called Skarlet, then HEY!!! A 15 year old rumor finally shows in a game!

But seriously, I never saw this character until this thread. I looked past the character being shown in Mileena's trailer. I thought we were just watching Mileena in that, not background materials.

Also, the Kira model we saw could have just been a place holder... this may very well be Kira in a slave outfit.

I was thinking the same thing its still a mystery to be solved maybe shes an important character.We'll probably find out when more videos and things are released.

Guys, here is a closer view of her. The mask is really making me think that she could possibly be Skarlet. Regardless, the leg and the CROTCH SASH (I just wanted to say crotch) are identical to that teaser image from back when.

I can't remember but don't recall if Quan Chi had a redheaded whore on the side.

I guess we can all speculate now, but I believe the new mysterious ginger to be Skarlet. Let us hope. I do have to throw in that the costume is pretty blah though...

Shaun Himmerick Sais a Non-Existant Character Will Deffinately EXIST This Time. CLICK ME

Shaun has always been known for a "by-the-books" guy but hes also one of the developers whos given us great dirt and details of the game that other devs are hesitant to.

So:

-Shaun confirms a "Character who diddnt exist" will be in the game, diddnt confirm playability but confirmation of appearance nonetheless.

-The only characters who are top tier in demand (from what ive seen) would be Skarlett/Ruby and Hornbuckle.

-A leg labelled "character teaser" from Ed Boon matches this leg pretty good, And her visual appearance is that of which isnt a far jump from a next gen interpretation of a Red palatte swap from classic kit/mil/jade.

-NO other classic character has got a visual makeover just for a cameo appearance in the background of a certian arena.

-NO other existing MK character is dominantly Red to be used as a place holder for Skarlett accept Kira, this my assumption that Kira was just holding her place as "the red female" because NRS knew that this nuclear war would happen on the forums.


How arent you piecing this together? Its pretty damn clear to me.

Im almost willing to bet we wont get any more details at all other than a confirmation that it is indeed Skarlett. If im wrong about this, I will eat my words and say "you were right its Kira". But im not buying it and im convinced. Theres more than enough to hint that this is Skarlett at this point and the shoe fits.

All hardcore MK fans from the past era have heard of these mistic characters and NRS even fleshed out the story pretty much hinting Hornbuckle was one of Onagas holy men and its not hard to assume that the MK2 pit2 was the confrontation when he was taken(it would make sense). So we KNOW they've been paying attention to these characters. If Skarlett wasnt Included, all the old fans would say "Omg why!? they had an opportunity and diddnt do it I hate Mk!". And fans of her deserve it.

Theres nothing more to be skeptical of until more media or announcements arise. the demand for a post MK3 female would likely be Tanya, Ashrah, Li Mei or Nitara Long before it would be Kira. and Sareena's sash has been strongly enforced, they wouldnt abandon the symbol and design and change her hair.

lol everyone is calling this girl a hoe. Don't blame them though. This attire is becoming generic and overused. A loincloth and bra? REALLY? Its like we have 6 other girls that dress like that. A Sareena+Kira clone = This new character.

I'll bet this broad will even have the same moves as them as well. We all know how creative NRS is with movesets.

Design is very important to many people. Arguably the ONLY reason Stryker was universally rejected was due to poor design.

And do you really want another Mokap-level character in the game?


Just think... we could have had Kenshi, or Shinnok, or Tanya, or Rain... but we instead get... loincloth and bra girl! Yay.

Although if it's Skarlett -
1. She needs a name change imo.
2. She also needs new attire, as stated these past 6 pages...

Kitana looked like shit when she was FIRST shown chained up in Kahn's arena. Her outfit became more detailed with time. This IS a new character and her lazy outfit will look better next time we see her.

Also just cause shes chained up doesnt mean shes playable. Maybe shes the new super secret unplayable character like Reptile, Jade, Noob Saibot, Smoke and such. We havent had a character like that since Meat and Saibot in MK4

Hey, I didn't say the design didn't suck. It's very lackluster, I'm not denying that. The fact that Skarlett may finally be appearing in an MK game after 15 years kinda outweighs that for me right now, though.

Worse comes to worse, she'll probably have a 'classic' alt along with the other ladies.

Minus the horizontal line, the pattern's very similar to the one on the insignia Ermac wears on his back, and which actually dominates his torso to some extent.



Assuming she really is that fifteen-year old rumor, couldn't you just see NRS affiliating her with Ermac somehow? Two old rumored characters, both clad in red? I don't think it's too far outside the realm of possibility.

I think the insignia is also present on the Soul Stones in MKD's Konquest mode. A possible Netherealm connection?

Whoever this chick is, I agree her design is uninspired, but if she is a playable character, I just hope she has a better alternative costume and some kick-ass moves.
