I saw the pics but I would like to see the actual video portion of it. I watched some of the live feed yesturday but I missed it when they showed some of the story mode. I would like to see that.

If this is in fact an alternate universe and not a simple traveling back in time story, Then All of our beloved and hated characters from MK1 to MK:A are dead. The ones we grew up with and tried relentlessly to master with each iteration of the game is dead.

Sort of weird to think about.

Every source for the live feed that I have seen had recorded the lag of the facebook feed. Nobody thought to cap from the youtube feed to theres massive lag. Not even worth going through the trouble to watch. Or else I would re-cap it myself for you guys.

I dont think you quite grasp the difference. Its the same MK universe. But once you travel back in time, obveously the very knowledge of going back in time changes your decision, and so on and so on, thus creating an alternate path through time.

Same people, same MK story, different path through time. An alternate universe ina sense. But this is not a spinoff like MKDC. This is canon. and MK10 will continue from this. Welcome to the new mk

Is it just me or does it look like raiden resurrecting liu kang in one of those screens Casselman posted?

It is, after Raiden reformed and turned dark in Deception, he revived Liu Kang's body as a murderous zombie.

One could think of this as an alternative universe, but it still is the same, Raiden the thunder god only was able to send a mental message over light speed (Einstein's theory of altering time) to the MK1 era and the story continues from that on with some new twists to the story. However, the elder gods could be aware of all the actions of Raiden in future and history. That'd be something I for one would be delighted to see happening at one point.

Awesome screencaps, but where the hell is Goro!? We have people who weren't even in the first tournament making appearances in the beginning, but not the Champion of Mortal Kombat? Goro had better have one hell of a reveal.

Im also going to point this out again, Jade's nipples should totally be visible, they need to close the top just a little bit. Mileena's is the same way, with that much boob showing, we should be able to see nipple. Details NRS, Details, its all about the details.

I'm guessing that Kitana, Mileena and Jade are wearing outfits made with some sort of Outworld leather of sorts, a type of skin from an Outworld beast. I base that theory on the pattern there seems to be on their outfits, like scales of sorts, but still quite flexible and sturdy at the same time. If it were mere cloth, their outfits would be ripped apart after just one special move. XD

I think they are just random fighters, like the grey Cyrax in the Challenge Tower, y'know, the one everyone thought was Smoke. He was just named "Cyborg". So yeah, random NPC's.

Earthrealm leather, yes, but I take that Outworld leather has some magic qualities to it. It's just a theory though.

No it's not JUST a new timeline created by Raiden's alterations, it's also a parallel universe where stuff Raiden didn't even change is different too, like Mileena's origin story.

Yeah, hopefully he does have an awesome introduction ceremony later on. I just hope he doesn't just show up and then get his ass kicked by Liu Kang.
