That being said, I don't really mind Cyber Sub-Zero, as long as it isn't canon (or Kuai Liang.) That ski mask look is cool, though.

I think people will really warm up to this idea. I'm sure younger Sub Zero and Noob Saibot will be unaffected (again... all three are existing in this game... nobody needs to disappear). So this could be a VERY interesting character.

I'm flip flopping. I'm more on the side of this being real now. The team has been hinting at other alities for a while. Hidden fighters have been confirmed, and it would make sense for them to be secret achievements. Quan Chi has been confirmed, but it makes sense for him to be secret because he shouldn't be in this storyline at all.

Now for the big one, Cyber Zero. They have been hinting at some one turning into a cyborg for a while, also they said there would be a new character or characters. Cyber Zero fits the bill for both.

Also xboxacievments.org is a reliable source, and it doesn't make sense for them to do this. So yeah, I'm buying into this horseshit. If it turns out to be real then I'm already starting to accept it, if it is fake then I can exhale in relief.

Man, I feel sorry for the mk team and the Cyber Sub-Zero shitstorm they have gotten on twitter.

I think somebody would have to be in a pretty low point in their life to feel bad about something that happens to them on twitter.

It doesn't necessarily mean Mileena will be naked. It could just be really skimpy, like pasties and a thong. On the other hand it could just mean it's a really goofy costume, kind of a joke alt. A possibility for Cyber Zero could be that they cyberized the older Sub-Zero's dead body. Noob of course is his spirit.

Someone needs to make a "deal with it" gif with the cyborg head coming down over younger subby's face with sunglasses on.

Rather than moaning about (awesome) things we can't change, lets think about this objectively and what it means for other characters.

Now its all hinged on smoke. From the wording of his original ending, he didn't seem to have discovered his humanity until after an encounter with Kahn's forces, but DE tells us he obviously didn't get far from them. Its possible he sacrificed himself in saving Sub Zero from Cyrax and Sektor, which could be how he wound up getting captured by Kahn's forces. The most probably being Smoke did something that jacked up Cyrax (who wondered off into the desert) but left him unable to stop from being captured. Sub beat Sektor (setting up the latters unending hatred for the three of them) and was either seperated from Smoke and never learned what happened to him (which NS DE ending seems to indicate) or left Smoke for dead and Kahn's forces just picked him up, which is kind of a dick move, but MK3-4 era Sub was still kinda a selfish dick.

In this new timeline htough Sub's automation can only mean more than likely NRS has decided to reverse the situation, leaving cyber sub to hunt Human Smoke. The only other alternative is that Smoke did get automated and just never came to Sub's rescue, either because he never learned of his own humanity, got killed / captured by Kahn earlier, or the two of them just failed to beat Sektor and Cyrax.

I like to think that scenario A happened because that means down the line Noob-Sub is a possibility, reuniting the brothers. Plus, it means Cyrax never wound up being a tool for the Special Forces and the entire Lin Kuei goes good angle never happens. Either way, lots of plot twist gold to mine there.

I, for one, welcome our new frozen cyborg overlord. All hail Cyber Zero.

What if Cyber Sub-Zero has nothing to do with the story? I mean, he could just be a fun bonus character... He might even have unique freeze-based moves.

Story is irrelevant. Quan Chi is an immensely popular character and a staff favorite. He nearly made it into MKvDC, there's no way he's missing out on this.

You can't, the only way to see them is if the team retweeted them. Otherwise I don't believe its viewable. I was just making a guess because I'm 100% positive that people went after the team. They always seem to.

I wonder how Ed Boon and the NRS team feels about this leak... You gotta imagine that hes most likely currently being harassed on twitter about this. I wonder how he feels about things being spoiled before the games release

I swear if this is the only secrets in the game I will be fucking pissed. I want a good amount. Just because some Dbag decided to leak them and spoil the fun about finding hidden things this sucks, because who knows when ther will be another MK with hidden stuff. I hope this isn't all the awesome stuff Boon mentioned in interviews, otherwise it's really a buzzkill. I can't be like Woah WTF when I find them no more. :(

Sindel's resurrection wasn't pre MK1. Quan Chi helped with that.

Mileena died in the original MK2 and came back to life in MK3. Quan Chi did that.
