I've read most of the ranting and rage in the thread. I understand both sides of the arguement. It's MKO people everyone has their opinion. It may be wrong in your eyes but it's only an opinion.

I myself am excited to see how it all plays out. I'm all for changes to the story. I want to be suprised by some of the story. I might not like all of the changes but it'll be interesting to see it happen.

The examples above that line you mentioned were meant to demonstrate that they're are crazy opinions out there. It wasn't suppose to mean, "this next line is my immutable and profound opinion. BEHOLD!"

No. All I meant by that line is "given everything we know so far, there is no known possible storyline associated with Cyber Sub-Zero that has trumped Sub-Zero's story as it is known MK4/MKDA/MKD."

And that's true. It's fucking undeniable. If someone can give an argument for Cyber Sub having a better story than Sub's previous storyline, I'm all ears. But GIVE and argument.

My opinion is that I agree with your opinion.

If cyborg subzero is in the game, it will just be for the heck of it and we'll never see him agian in a future MK game. I doubt NRS would kill off the subzero we have now for a cyborg version for him.

It's really mean to get my hopes up like that, you know.

Given the amount of time we've had to dwell on this compared to the MK team (hours vs months/years), asking us to be able to give a great Cyber Sub-Zero storyline that trumps the current Sub Zero storyline is asinine.

It's also ignorant to suggest the storyline 100% cannot be improved in such a fashion. Obviously we love Sub Zero and what he's been for the franchise. He's fleshed out, popular, likeable, and awesome. If you go back to page 15, I mentioned a couple ideas that I THINK are solid, but none of them involve him replacing other characters. If he does though, I will reserve judgement until I see exactly WHY he does. Maybe Sub Zero clones himself and makes a Cyber Ninja that HE controls in order to battle Sektor, Cyrax, and Noob. Maybe Raiden told him it was the only way to infiltrate the Lin Kuei and rescue Smoke?

My ideas aren't mind blowing, but it's easy to see how possible it is to create an interesting story that appeals to fans of the old Sub Zero and Noob Saibot, while taking the story in a new direction.
