I just think it is very lame for her birthname to be Jade and for her to grow up as some green suited ninja.

She probably wanted to look cool so she wore green :D. But if you think of it, it's more of a codename so yeah you're probably right about Jade being her birthname.

I think Jade is a chosen name, not her birthname. Like, her parents are dead and Shao Kahn takes her in as his assassin, she renamed herself Jade to match the token green colour of her outfit. It would make sense.

Her hair is gorgeous and I love her outfit, she looks perfect!

I also love that her staff is once again glowing pink!

I like Jade, but however I think her costume design in Mortal Kombat(2011) looks like utter crap no offense.

I want to see a lot of Jade and Kitana interaction in Story mode. I also want story mode to be more than tournament with cut scenes, like MKDC was.

Im not opposed to cut scenes, but I hope theres more than just fights with cut scenes in between.

Ahhh, my fave of the assassin ladies, and fave lady overall. She's looking boss. Very much liking the normal outfit, but that UMK3 render is hot buttered sex incarnate. I'll be using both.

Move-wise, I'd hope she has her entire UMK3 arsenal minus the glowing green kick. I have never liked that move, because it's felt way too derivative of Cage's Shadow Kick since day 1. She should really be using that pole of hers more often in moves instead; I'm hoping to see some really acrobatic maneuvers; pole vaults, cartwheels, etc. I think Lupikno already leaked that she had her muilti-directional razorangs back, so I'm happy on that front. her projectile invulnerability is a must as well - I just hope its input is a bit more ergonomic - entering B, F and a button before trying to run forward was awkward as hell. Should be a F, F combination, as that leads into a dash; she could start the dash uninterrupted.

Since that staff of hers is now retractable, there's a hell of a lot she could do with it to kill a man. She could shove it in their mouth and extend it. Tell me that wouldn't be nasty! I'd also like one where she twirls her staff around at a high speed, and her opponent pauses for a second before falling apart as in Cytrax's net fatality.

Plotwise, I'm assuming we're not going to be deviating much from the original canon despite what they've said, but Jade is a major exception. When Ed said that people might die that didn't before, Jade was one of the first to come to my mind. I hope that doesn't happen, but she is a henchman figure of sorts, and not as indispensable to the overall plot as the major heroes are. It wouldn't surprise me. Here's hoping she makes it through.

Also going to say that I think 'Jade' is very likely a code name. Maybe Kahn rechristens people he brings into his service from other realms, 'Rain' and 'Reptile' are probably along the same lines if so.

This. I didn't even use that in deception unless someone was spamming projectiles because of that stupid input.

I also hope her boomerang is actually useful. In deception, she took so long with the windup that it was a pretty pointless move.

I want her Blazing Nitro Kick to stay, but they should make it different from Cage's Shadow Kick, like they did with Kitana's Square Wave Buttcrusher move. :P

It's actually not just like Kitana's. If you look closely on my sig, some kind of ornament is placed at the cloth near her crotch which seems to gather the cloth before it falls down. And at the end of it another ornament is holding the cloth together.

Kitana's do not have such on her loincloth, so no, they are not exactly alike. And to be fair, Jade had a loincloth in her outfit displayed in-game (MK: Deception) before Kitana did.

I get what you're saying though. Too many characters in MK wear loincloths. Personally, I think it fits Jade better than Kitana, but that is simply my own opinion.
