Maybe the reason it looks less advanced is because that's the trade off for a cyber-eye that can shoot powerful lasers instead of the weak looking laser he showed off in 9's storymode?

1) Kano looks incredible. Impressive and fantastic reveal for a character that was so underestimated (based on 2 low quality silly magazine scans).

His costume is great. His new model is hot. His fighting/gameplay looks super fun. The variations look very cool. That Fatality is cool. Xray is one of the best. Only thing I'm just not so sure how I feel is those flashing colors of the heart thing. Wish his variation-looks were more than just those flashing colors.

2) Love the arena. Beautiful. I wish it had more to do with Earth than Outworld though. I still hope there is some kind of amazing Mayan/Aztec prehistoric arena based on Earthrealm with ancient ruins.

3) If this is any indication of how amazing Sonya Blade and Johnny Cage are both going to be in this game, I simply can't wait to see them. Excited to learn how the whole Cage-Blade Family plot is gong to be developed and made central in this game.

Welcome back, Kano. Hopefully you didn't do anything STUPID to the Blade family though, because I want something new and different for you this time around. Sonya and Johnny both better be alive and looking pretty ;)

SO what do you all think they will do with fatalities performed on kano? How is Kotal Kahn gonna drink the blood from a cybernetic heart lol

An implant does not necessarily mean a replacement. Kano may have his original heart beyond that contraption.

INCREDIBLE! I never was a Kano guy but this is just awesome. As much as I love the cibernetic version I think I ́m a suck for the commando version, love the counter moves and the close combat focus. Just congratulations to Netherealm, great great looking game so far.

AND I LOVE HOW BIG CHARACTERS SEEMS.

Love the background, cousy and fresh, beautiful to look at.

So, who will be the next character? After too returning characters my money is on a new one.

I ain't scrolling through thirteen pages, but I assume many have changed their opinions on my Kano. As per usual for my hyped games, I actually didn't watch the vid (saving my excitement for when I play the game), but from reading the character's description, he sounds like he is at his most badarse to date.

I find it a bit creepy when people claim ownership over a character like that, because it sounds like they feel a certain connection to the character that might be rather unhealthy...
So let's just be clear, he isn't "your" Kano.

And though some might have changed their opinion and have gotten all woed by the reveal trailer, it certainly isn't everyone. Personally, I'm no fan.
I found this and though it was funny though:

I was in the group of people that saw Kano's reveal in the Gamepro magazine as a little bit underwhelming and boring, but boy do I regret that now. Kano looks baddass, straight. He looks amazing and his gameplay looks really fun. NRS is making each character so unique to his/her style, as seen with Kano. All his variations just scream Kano all around.

Extremely happy with the way this game is going.



Jaded Raven, what's your deal with Kano? Every post in this entire thread that you have written has been "I don't like this about Kano", " I don't like that about Kano". Enough is enough. We get it, you don't like Kano. Stop trying to impose your opinion on people, it's getting extremely annoying.

As much as people keep saying what they like about him, I talk about the things I don't like. Imposing my opinion on people would be me trying to change your opinion to fit mine... which I don't.

Yeah, I'm complaining directly to you because after 13 pages of this thread, your posts keep getting more annoying and annoying.

Still hoping he uses a WASP knife in his second fatality and just burst open his opponent's chest. (Not creating a giant hole through the entire body, just having it burst open the chest)

After seeing what it did it did to John Stamos in Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, I want to see it happen in here.

I'm actually not fond of the design of his knives either... I wish they had given them the design from the movie / the ones Kira had in MKD-MKA.

lol Thanks for adding that part in parenthesis. I think we've got more than enough hole fatalities as of now.

My only complaint is, I wish his knives were a tad smaller and spun in the air. Rather than flying straight.

My complaint about the stage so far is that during the fight the water doesn't get red at certain places since you clearly see blood flow into the water during the fight

Oh man ive been waiting to see some Kano gameplay. I think all three variations have potential. His Cutthroat we dont really know too much about yet. What we know of that variation is that Kano has a damage boost so he can do extra damage with his combos. Could be really good but if thats all that variation offers then it might not be that big of a deal.... His cybernetic variation i already can see as possible top tier with the combination of his lasers and knives to zone, and he has bombs that pop up in the air that im sure youll be able to combo off..... Then his commando variation i find interesting because it reminds me of Bayman from Dead or Alive series being a counter and grappler type of fight style. I like that style a lot so i think Kanos commando variation has a lot of potential especially in the right hands.

All in all i think Kano looks fantastic. Im so hyped for him. Even if either of my top favs, Reptile and Liu Kang, are in the game, theyll have to impress me even more than Kano has. At the moment Kano is the number one char im looking most forward to playing and id say at the moment he is who id learn first. However there is still the majority of the roster left to be shown. Still super hyped for Kano!

Well shit, their profile says they are from the Netherlands...and D'Vorah is from there I think...it can't be a coincidence. lol

I'm intrigued with D'Vorah in this video, two things, and I'm not sure if anyone caught this:

1.) Bugs fly out of her head after it gets shot at by Kano in his fatality clip.

2.) She seems to have Reptile's crawl move from Mortal Kombat 4. I really thought she rolled but after replaying that part again, she crawls.
