"30 minutes preview"... What the fuck does that mean? I didn't know 30 minutes translates to 7 minutes or things we already watched and know about.

Great detail to see Scorpion in his MK9 outfit in chapter one as things take off right after MK9. That's already four alts for Scorpion at least and two for SZ. Though, revenant Quai Liang looks epic, why isn' t he a cyborg anymore?

That's it, I am adding Johnny Cage to my list of characters that I will main:

Kitana, Kano, Kenshi, Johnny Cage.

He looks super fun to use.

There were some good things I took away from the stream.

- Lifebar has notches and when in danger Lifebar blinks red.

- There is an option to toggle interactables off before fights. It's not surprising but it's good to know the option is there. Of course nobody will use it anyway so I'm still screwed.

- We can view story mode cutscenes again without having to replay the whole goddamn story mode.

The story mode looks fantastic, look insanely good. I wasn't expecting it to be that good. QTEs don't bother me. And I do like seeing behind the scenes footage. Wanted more gameplay but it is coming in droves next stream.

One thing that annoyed me though was the select screen. They kept all those spots blank, when we already know pretty much the entire roster.

You sound salty. Maybe you should turn your computer off for a minute and go outside. I have seen some comments on Youtube and Twitch etc. from people saying Johnny shouldn't be able to beat them blah blah. Look people, Johnny is a new man, and he takes things serious now. He is so much better than he was in MK9 and thus, whooped Scorpion and Sub- Zero's ass. Now their fanboys are salty. By the way I'm 24. Calling people "kid" is getting old. Anyways, I loved the sneak peak and I can't wait for April 14th.

Well I have, mostly on Youtube. Annoying Scorpion and Sub fanboys mad that their character is losing for once, and they are usually the ones talking trash about everyone else.

Don't know if anyone else mentioned this, but did anyone else feel that the shot of Scorpion suddenly over Cage's shoulder as he turns was a nod to the first movie? I was waiting for him to scream "WELCOME!"

for those saying they don't like the fact he goes from battle damaged and bloody to clean in the cutscene: the look of your fighter depends on the fight, so it's not possible to have the battle damaged look in the prerendered cutscene afterwards. Right? being that this is a forum on the internet i'm sure someone is bound to correct me if I'm wrong but when a scene is prerendered it's not gonna match the look after a playable fight.

Oh and one thing bothered me. The deconfirmation of Mokap. If there's one character I know will never show up in a major MK game, it's fuckin Mokap. He'll be lucky to appear as a cameo in a Johnny Cage ending. I get that it was a joke but if you're gonna deconfirm someone, at least have it be someone people think is in the game.

If they had deconfirmed Erron Black, Fujin, or Rain that would've been better. It's suck for fans of those characters but at least put them at ease. No more "Are they in or not?" bullshit.

I love the improvements to Johnny Cage. He looks even better than he did in MK9. His new outfits, better voice actor, and gameplay are all fantastic. Johnny is definitely gonna be my go to guy. I love how they kept his corner combo from MK9. Cage fans unite!

I agree. It's pretty obvious that Mokap was not going to be in, and I would much rather them deconfirm serious characters rather than someone like Meat or some shit.

Although, on the other hand, if they deconfirmed Fujin in this fashion I would go fucking insane. Ugh well I do agree that it is getting annoying that they won't fucking answer anything and I hate that they just keep teasing us. so im kinda 50/50 on this. Idk if I would rather them deconfirm serious characters or more joke characters. Maybe it's because I still have a small hope that Fujin will be on the roster initially. I need to crush that shit asap

That story clip was fantastic. The action is really well choreographed. My adrenaline was definitely high watching Johnny kick ass. I can't wait for April 14th!

We were talking about their characterization in the comics as well as the story mode chapter, to get an overall sense of who they are. No confusion about the timeline.
