Wow. If you read Ed Boon's latest on the next Mortal Kombat you know that he said that the new MK wouldn't be out until the end of 2008, and any tangible news wouldn't be until a YEAR from now. This is the biggest MK wait since MK Gold to MK Deadly Alliance. Don't get me wrong thats great news, because that means the necessary time and effort will be poured into this game that I'm already eagerly anticipating. But he said it himself, no real big news, for about a year. I dont know about you, but it might be a little while before I sign back on just so I can control my anticipation for another year.

And 2005 saw the release of Shaolin Monks, 2007 will see the release of MK:A on Wii.

It'll only "suk" for me because I quit playing MkA so fast..
lol
Anyway, I'm happy there won't be any "big" news for a long time. The games I/"we" consider "the best of the series" were handled closley in fasion.
I'd be fine if only little interviews like this latest one happended up until about 3-6months before release. And then only give up a few render concepts like they did Mk2.
That'd be enough "before-hand" news for me....

Last time the MK Fans were impatient, we ended up with MKA. Let MK8 stretch on to 2020, as long as it's perfect.
