You mean it's gameplay, like the animations and stuff? If so, the exact same thing can be said for MK4-MKD. The simple solution is to use smooth, fluid animations and not speed things up like with moves such as D + 4 in Monkey.

Dont just give one sentence answers and think you can explain that to me.
Can you please tell me why you arrived @ that conclusion?

Can you ellaborate just a little bit more. What about it was robotic?
I'll try to suggest some ideas:
1. UnReal3 Engine
2. Less strict martial arts..
3. Gameplay con-fines...."circles" instead of "squares"...
I don't know what to explain yet so please answer my question..

The animations need to be smoothed out by hand, and they need to flow better from one to another. There is too long of a pause after throwing single attacks before you can throw another.
Try the same thing in other fighters and notice the difference.
games like Tekken, SC, DOA and VF
In MK, a lot of the animations are stiff or twitchy.
Try playing some of the other games for a good while, then play MK.
You'll see it.

nothing looked too robotic. gameplay seemed normal to me if he's referring to that.

How is the gameplay normal when it lacks so many essentials that other fighters have already had for many years?

uhhh... to me it seemed normal.

If your idea of normal gameplay involves tons of easy infinites, free throws, and various other glitches, then that's some crazy idea.

But of course, It takes a trained eye to see some of these things.
To someone who doesn't know what this stuff is, the game may seem to play just fine.

Yes, I know what you mean as I had to learn quite a bit (and am still trying to learn). However, even with these past MK games, I'm sure there are some things that can even be seen by people who don't quite know this stuff.

They would probably keep the blood and overall dark style, just make the combat more well thought out, like their other games.
Button masher is more a term for the player, not the game.
You can mash buttons in any game.
If you think games like VF, Tekken, SC, DOA are button mashers, then you don't know how to play.
If you get beat easily by mashers, then again you don't know how to play.
The only game that kind of gives mashers a chance to win is DOA, because of the stun system coupled with easy basic combos. But even then, if you know what you are doing, beating a masher is a snap.
