I really do think Sonya + Cassie are the same character. If this story covers a span of 25 years, there is no way Sonya still looks like that. She is identical to how she looked in MK9 and hasn't aged one bit. I really think Sonya is an alternate costume to Cassie, and it would make sense, considering that if the point if to showcase "The New Generation of Kombatants", and Cassie seems to be the focal point in terms of represeting this new generation, Sonya being in the game diverts that. Cassie should represent Sonya and Johnny Cage atleast in this game.

I think this video also confirms Liu Kang, I mean that image cap of the Klassic Towers of that character in that pose.. it has to be Liu Kang. Not sure how I feel about this, is he going to be playable or a boss? God Liu Kang? He looks really similar to his classic attire. Interesting.

Jax being in.. I thought he was dead? I think it looks like him.. but it could be Jacqui taking his trademark cybernetic arms.

All in all, this game looks fucking amazing and I can't wait to dig right into it. Story mode, by the sounds of it, is going to be amazing. The overall feel to this game is amazing: the atmosphere, the characters, the gameplay, the gore, the Fatalities, and now Brutalities!

Out of raw interest, what was the first MK game you ever played?

I played the fuck out of MK2 first, then MK3trilogy, then MK4, then I skipped until MKDeception, then skipped to MK9.

The character I thought was Jax could be a whole new fighter. But he's definitely male.
And how many "Kotals" do we have in this game? The bowman looks like another aztec.

If the developers mentioned Chaorealm in the faction wars, as being one of the realms that cause the invasions, it can confirm Havik. I really want him to be in, and not only cause he's a really cool character, but it expands the MK Universe.

Here's another picture of the character in the right tower. To me it looks like Havik or an older version of Kenshi.

How anyone can make a distinction of who that is, is beyong me. I cannot even try to make what/who that is.

So, what characters got "revealed" in this exactly?

It's all speculation, really. There are screen caps of what looks to be like Mileena, Liu Kang, Jax, and at the beginning of the trailer Sonya/Cassie is shown.

I am happy about these changes - it gives it more of an MMO kind of feel and more importantly, will have them keep an eye on the online interface which has been really bad in past games.

As for playing against someone online - can you only play against opposing factions? I'm sure they wouldn't do that. Maybe have a "friendly" match against your own people.

It seems to me that this game, NRS finally has money to spend, and the marketing for this game has been more professional than ever. I am glad I recently bought a PS4. This will probably be my first game to buy on it.
