She's african. But really she's edenian, but She can also be considered black. It's all based on your forte, some people will like to try and tell you she's not black but the fact is she is. I don't know why its just so hard to adjust to the fact MK has several black characters.

As said, all we know for certain is she's a darker skinned Edenian. Were she from Earth, what race would she be? She looks like she'd be Hispanic to me.

She seems to be based either on Indian (as in from India) or African ethnicities.

Well, looking at MK2 Kitana//Mileena, the actress looks Jewish. Just like Ed Boon to be Jewish.



The actress that played Jade in MKA(movie) is Asian. But that's something else.



I think Jade is supposed to be a black chick. Although, there are the really dark skinned Indian(nation) people who could fit the bill well too. The straight black hair she has makes it a possibility.

So anyway, with Jade, I think they tried to get a "black woman ninja" out of her olive toned skin by pallet swapping Kitana and it just confused everybody. lol

Could probably put Sheeva up there too. But she's a monster though, so it's really debatable even though she was played by a black woman in the movie.

Personally, I'd definitely keep Jade and Kai. Those two are my "favorite black characters" on the MK roster, if there were such a category. If they'd fix them, I'd consider Jax and Cyrax, otherwise just kill them. Definitely kill Tanya and Darrius though, those characters make me sick.

The MK2 Actor really does look either Jewish or Italian, yet her name throws me off about her ethnicity.

Me, I've always thought jade was black. She looked black in MK3, and she still looks black to me.

I never said that she was tan, you didn't read my post all the way through clearly enough to understand that I thought that the answer was that she had a dark tan.

I'm not excepting that she's black, I'm accepting it, but I thought that the question was answered already that she had a heavy tan.
