Man, Cyborg, you shouldn't despair so hard. It's true Temp has a better fighting game foundation, so he'll have an edge over you when the game first comes out, but now's the time to close the gap.

I think you're opinion on this matter is colored by Temp's sheer dominance in MK9 but you have to put it in perspective. Temp has been seriously practicing MK9 since the day the game came out. He and I grinded out A LOT of matches together in the early days trying to push each other to get better. Eventually, Temp left for a different city that had a thriving MK scene and was able to get even better as a result.

The last time Temp and I played he bodied me badly and I knew that it would take more work than it was worth to get back on his level. (I bodied him at Injustice afterward though. Shit was free.) Now with MKX we're both on an equal footing and it's the perfect time for you and other more casual players to get better, because while people like Temp and I have better fundamentals, we no longer have system mastery as an advantage.

Anyone can get better. Just takes practice.

P.S. I should caveat that I'm not some incredible fighting game genius by any stretch of the imagination, just someone who really loves fighting games and tries to play as best he can.

I agree with everything you guys said about Jacqui. Bland, boring and uninteresting. However, Jacqui and Kung Jin or the only new characters I'm not interested in at all. Everyone looks good/great. Torr I feel is especially awesome. I've always loved the big hulking characters in fighters so I'm really interested in that duo.

I like Kung for him using a bow, but other than that, his look and personality are doing nothing for me.

On the flip side, I like Ferra/Torr's personality and look, but not too sold on their gameplay.

Jacqui is the only one that all 3 qualities I look for, are uninteresting to me. Hopefully this changes.

Kotal, D'vorah, Erron, Cassie are all home runs to for me.

Of the new characters I too am less hyped for Jacqui but I like her design. Ferra/Torr deserves more followers and the hate for him and Ferra are kind of dumb in my opinion. Erron Black is too good to ever be hated. Cassie Cage is good. Kung Jin I like that he is a bow user. Kotal Kahn is just badass. D'vorah is so cool. Takeda is pretty cool as well but a little childish but I will get over it. Jacqui Briggs umm I know nothing other than she is Jax's daughter like you guys think she is another soldier but I like that about her but I wished she had some kind of special powers and not another Sektor even though I liked him in the past. She has moves just like Sektor that may have just deconfirmed him and the bombs for Sonya may have have deconfirmed Cyrax it is sad but it could be true. Guys to add to this instead of making another post Ed Boon may have confirmed that Baraka is the secret character as dumb as that sounds I hope it is false. I want Fujin to be in the main roster. I am crossing my fingers everyday that Fujin will be playable. I wouldn't mind if Baraka was DLC because he is cool enough to be in as DLC. What are your thoughts on this post guys ? I want to know what you guys think of them as well and the possible secret character hint from boon. I loved the episode a whole lot and the graveyard shift was golden.

You made me blush I feel the same about the experience, it's been nice having you guys to listen to, there is quite a lot of bullshit on the forums and it's very tiring. I can't wait to listen to your guys' reactions to MKX on the kast and maybe I could even be the guest on an episode sometime in the future if that would be alright. I've just got to get over my anxiety for a couple of hours haha. Other than that, I'm looking forward to playing and training with all of guys in MKX, should be a lot of fun.

If you guys are staying under the radar how in the world is the next episode gonna work out right you have to know Goro's fatalities. They are awesome. Well his second is way better than his first just the truth but he is amazing.

Well, they have the 5 hour stream, Goro trailer, new comic, launch trailer....They have tons of stuff to speculate on, especially from the launch trailer. It's gonna be fun seeing what they come up with since I already spoiled myself raw.

I honestly feel like the MK Kommunity can be a blessing and a curse. I love how we're vocal, dedicated and passionate about MK, but man it seems like we will turn on each other in a damn heartbeat.

This will be the first MK that I plan taking serious...in a competitive standpoint, and I hope to be able to play against a majority of you guys. I know MKO and other sites have tried to bring the Kommunity together, so hopefully this will be the game to do it.

I just want to thank the guys at NetherKast for allowing me to take part in an episode. I wish I could say more, but it is a bit tough sometimes when there are so many people in one podcast. Regardless, I had a lot of fun, especially toward the end. MKX's gameplay will undoubtedly be insane in its meta game. I'll at least try to get the mobile version.
