Grotesque as already said everything that matters for now, and i just posted here to present myself to new users, and possible future members.

Artwork of the Black Dragon Clan will be posted in the future.
We hope that you enjoy our brotherhood, by joining it. But even if you do not wish to do so, or you are a member of another clan, you are always wellcome here to talk about anything concerning the clans.

Friendship and partnership between clans is essential.

I'll come in with something constructive in a little while.

All of your members need to "pledge" in this thread. That's the kind of stuff this thread is for. Maybe put all your members in the starter post or with their current avatar or something. idk, just an idea.

This thread should capture all that business from here on out though. The only thing from your clan the Database should be getting anymore, are people inquiring to be that other leader. That's it....Otherwise, everything else goes in here, or in your sig spaces.

Other stuff I'd recommend:

1. Background on your clan (story, and "official game characters involvement.)

Start from the beginning and work your way forward to MkAs' time frame. You'd be surprised how much of that stuff is interesting.

I'd also expect "how so and so" came about being in the clan. Like Kano, Kabal, or whoever else that is in the actual game, and in the clan.

2. Toss around concepts for future competitions in this thread. Both for within the clan, and ideas for competitions with other clans.

(make them clever, and pertain to the clans orientation. Like something with: "Knife Throwing" , "Russian Roulette" , or "Most Ruthless Thief" or whatever in the name of the game. Some games will be scavenger hunts, some games will pertain to art, some games will be "get the answer right" type games. But, once you work out all the bugs, and how you "win" or "loose", let me know. Then we can start considering rewards.)

Once there are settlements on some good ideas, put them in your starter posts and or let me know. What will happen is, these things will be discussed amongst us all and we'll establish which ones are good for "just your clan", and which ones we can keep for inter-clan competitions.

"Inter-clan competitions" will make it to the Databases' Starter Post. Then we can hold "traditional" or "annual"//bi-annual//monthly///weekly competitions.

3. I'd think that the clan quiz questions can be put on display in your thread. It's not a "trust you" issue....you leaders have already proven that. It's more a recommendation to show people that it's not a "final exam" that they have to go through in order to become a member. I'd say...use the spoiler tags.

Either that, or when they "Pledge", at least give us their test results. Like I did in the Database thread with you guys test results.

It should be one post from either one of you leaders, or that person once they have all the information from you. It could be like a "mini profile" that would contain who they are(name and avatar or something), what rank they are coming into your clan as, what they will be doing for your clan(like scribe, criminals, or whatever), and what they scored on your test.

See what I mean? Something like that...

4. I remember NightCrow saying something about the logo I used to make your Clan avatar a little bit ago. You guys can decide how you will handle that too.

History of The Black Dragon

According to legend, the Black Dragon split from its parent organization, the Red Dragon. The reason the Black Dragon was founded was a deep-rooted discontent with the strict codes of honor and stealth that pervaded the Red Dragon.

While the Black Dragon garnered notoriety around the world, the Red Dragon marked every renegade for death, and the United States government formed the Special Forces to deal with their activities. In the events leading up to the first Mortal Kombat tournament, Kano and his Black Dragon gang lured Sonya Blade and her unit to Shang Tsung's island. Though Sonya was at a severe disadvantage with her unit massacred and forced to compete in the tournament held there, the tournament would also be the beginning of the end of the Black Dragon's current incarnation.

After the tournament, Shang Tsung fled to Outworld, taking both Sonya and Kano captive to appease Shao Kahn and to lure the other Earthrealm warriors to Outworld to compete in a second tournament. During this tournament, Jax Briggs rescued them both, but Kano soon escaped back into Outworld. He was able to convince Shao Kahn to spare his life in exchange for his assistance in training Outworld's army how to use modern weapons. Through deceit and trickery, he even made it to general after Kahn's foiled invasion of Earth, feigning death. At this time the Black Dragon had fallen apart, with most notable members arrested, disappeared, turned away from criminal life (such as Kabal), or simply killed.

Thought to be the last member of Black Dragon, Jarek fought against Shinnok alongside Jax and Sonya. After Shinnok's invasion of Heavens foiled, Jax dropped Jarek off a ravine, seemingly killing him. But Jarek survived the fall by thrusting his weapon to the side of the cliff but he was badly injured. Jarek went into hiding and the Black Dragon was thought to be completely eradicated.

The Red Dragon was persisent in eradicating all those who had once belonged to the Black Dragon, however. When the Deadly Alliance assumed power over Outworld, Mavado, one of the Red Dragon's operatives, defeated the swordsman Kenshi for them, and in exchange was given the opportunity to fight Kano, although it's unclear whether or not this transpired. Reportedly, he had already killed Kabal in combat. But unknown to him, Kabal was saved from the brink of death by Chaosrealm cleric Havik. Though Kabal had renounced his life of crime, Havik was able to rekindle his anarchist ideals. After taking revenge on Mavado, Kabal reforged the Black Dragon more as an ideological than a purely criminal organization, and vowed to learn from its past mistakes. Together with his two new recruits, Kira and Kobra, he travelled to Outworld to assist Havik in his schemes and test the strength of his new gang. Kabal's aims seem to go further than Kano's. While Kano was content to be a common gang leader, Kabal wishes to tear down society. Kano was captured by the Red Dragon and was going to be used as a test subject for combining humans with dragons, but he escaped before they could finish. Jarek also returned apparently alive after his ordeal with Jax, who dropped him into a ravine, having plunged his weapon into the sides of the cliff as he fell to escape death. It is as yet unknown if he has returned to the Black Dragon, as his current agenda involves perfecting his fatalities enough so that he may take revenge on the traitor that sold him out (an agenda apparently aided by Quan Chi, who informed him that the final battle of Armageddon would prove to be the perfect venue to test out his fatalities.)

Thank you for the constructive post. It should have been made by me, or Grotesque, but i don't have much time these days, because of scholl, that started yesterday, and some serious personnal problems.

But, i promise to post the list of all character members of the clan, and their storylines, next weekend.

Yes, i too agree that Grotesque must edit the starter post and put there a list of clan members, their ranks, day of joining etc

And yes, it is now official, that everyone who wishes to join our clan, must post in this thread that he/she wishes to do so.

than, he/she will have to PM me or Grotesquethebeast, the answers of the quiz (that will be also posted in this thread, in spoilers). Than, we (GMs) will PM you with the result of your quiz and the honor of having joined us (lets be optimistic, this quiz is not supposed to create any difficulty in your joining, it is just ment to assure that you can work correctly in MKO, and for us to know who/how many are our brothers).

Your joining will be posted in this thread also, in the clan members list (somewhere in the starter post) with your rank, and day of joining.

isn't kano in the red dragon because when your in the red dragon strong hold in armageddon and he was in it soo...???

Kano was there because he was taken hostage. The Red Dragon wanted to test their hybrid-making experiments on him. I'm pretty sure he ran away before they could turn him part-dragon, though.

Leo is right and you would knowing as well if you look at History of The Black Dragon.

Alright, I know this thread hasn't been active for a while, so my co-Grandmaster and I are taking on a new project!

(Drum roll)

We are putting together an illustrated history of the Black Dragon Clan. A comic book, if you will.

Nightcrow and I just finished the written history, and I have began adapting it into a comic book script. I just started yesterday and am at the begining, but I'm working on it as we speak (seriously, I'm switching between this page and the script right now). I can't say what the story is now (I wouldn't want to spoil it). But I will say it invovles the character of the Black Dragon from the Malibu comics and all the characters and the storyline from "Mortal Kombat: Special Forces".

Once the script is complete, and has the approval of my co-GrandMaster; I will deliver it to a very talented artist, whom I hand-picked myself. Some of you may have heard of him, he's a member around here but hasn't been very active lately on MKO. Goes by the name of "Joker 216", his work can be found here.

I estimate that the final product will be about 6 to 8 pages. Hopefully if we can pull this all together, the Black Dragon Clan will have more than just words on a page as our official history, we'll have an entire comic book!

Please post thoughts and opinions. If you think there is something that should be included in our history, feel free to suggest it to nightcrow or I.

we are progressing slowly, but surely. I'm only at the begining of page 4. I don'tr know how lonly the bible will take to draw, but I expect to have the completed script by January '08.

ok, kids. I'm calling a meeting of all Black Dragon clansmen. We've got some serious things to work out.

-I've recently recieved a request to ally with another clan. We need to come together and discuss this.

-I will be posting the story of the Black Dragon. Not the comic book yet, because I don't know what happened to the artist who said he would do it. But I'm tired of holding the story back . this does not mean that there won't be a comic book version, I'm still trying to work that out.

It is time to make the Black Dragon's private dealings public.
