Injustice is ratcheting up the blood and violence when Superman interrupts the interrogation of The Joker in a new red band trailer! It will be the third animated feature based on a NetherRealm Studios fighting game and is coming next month! Watch:

The dark world introduced in 2013's Injustice: Gods Among Us begins anew in this adaptation from Warner Bros Animation. The cartoon will take inspiration from both the video games, and the multiple tie-in comic book series spawned from its creation.

The trailer previews Superman's descent into violent extremes as he seeks vengeance for the murder of his wife, Lois Lane, and their unborn child. It is an act that will lead him towards the formation of a totalitarian regime that splits the ranks of the Justice League against one another as Batman leads a resistance against his former ally.

The red band trailer offers a glimpse at the many heroes who stand against Superman, including characters from the games like Green Arrow and Aquaman, as well as unseen DC Comics icons such as Hawkman and Captain Atom.

Injustice is officially schedule for release in 4K HDTM Combo Pack, Blu-Ray, and digital starting October 19th -- in plenty of time for Halloween! Look closely and you'll see DC horrors Clayface and Solomon Grundy in the trailer -- but the real terror is Superman himself!

Leaked database information for the Nvidia GeForce Now gaming service has reportedly exposed a raft of unannounced titles possibly destined for the cloud streaming platform. Among the major names being widely circulated are sequels to Injustice 2 and Mortal Kombat 11. Read on for details:

Improper API filtering appears to have contributed to a massive data-mining breach that exposed an alleged list of thousands of applications and game files, including listings for "Injustice 3: Gods Will Fall" and ambiguous entries of "Mortal Kombat Nex Gen" and "Mortal Kombat XII".

GeForce Now is a cloud based streaming service designed to facilitate gaming on multiple devices, including PC, Mac, iPhone, iPads and more. The concept is similar to Google Stadia, but uses direct access to a high-powered "virtual computer" to access and install games you already own from major digital distribution platforms, such as Steam, streaming from the cloud to play on the go.

ComicBook.com is among the high-profile sites reporting the rumored leak, which puts a name to the widely speculated Injustice sequel, but has anecdotally been described as database information that hasn't been updated for upwards of six months, and should not be considered confirmation of actual development.

Giant Bomb recently reported claims that NetherRealm Studios would instead be prioritizing a new installment in the Mortal Kombat franchise. This comes in response to the WarnerMedia Discovery corporate merger that has fuelled speculation about the future of NetherRealm and related properties.

Amid the speculated uncertainty: NetherRealm continues to list new positions via the WarnerMedia careers website, currently seeking a Senior Artist/Animator. This reflects a general sentiment that the formation of a new parent company would not effect NetherRealm's position within the AT&T-owned stable of WB Games. The developer was reportedly taken off the market this time last year, with only mobile developer Playdemic sold to EA.

Fighting games are nothing without a memorable final boss and Mortal Kombat has seen its share. Series co-creator and ultimate big boss Ed Boon used his powers to find out which of four major menaces fans think is the biggest bad of them all. Read on for the contenders:

An overwhelming 56.6% majority of Twitter voters chose Shao Kahn: the final boss of Mortal Kombat II and MK3, who recently made his return as a time displaced pre-order download in Mortal Kombat 11, and sent the realms into turmoil in the newly released animated adaptation Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms.

Losing to Outworld's Emperor with 24.5% was original final boss Shang Tsung, who also shared boss duties in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance and returned as MK11 DLC. Single game final threat Onaga, The Dragon King earned a respectable 13.2% for his nostalgically remembered MK: Deception appearance. The fallen Elder God from MK4 and Mortal Kombat X remained a tougher sell with only around 2,072 out of 36,357 votes. Shinnok also has the infamous distinction of having been final boss of Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero -- inspiration for MKX's Corrupt Shinnok.

Shao Kahn has been an evergreen favourite for the franchise, making frequent return appearances despite his apparent destruction. Fans voted the conquering emperor runner-up of MK Online's 2021 Supreme Mortal Kombat Champion tournament from 64 potential winners.

Ed Boon has a history of polling fans on specific subjects, sometimes leading to interesting examples of long term correlation. In 2016 he quizzed fans on MKX's missing men and women -- all of whom eventually turned up as playable returns in Mortal Kombat 11.

Most recently, Boon got Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks trending globally when he asked fans about remastered re-releases. The adventure game spin-off was a popular pick when he polled fans on the developer's next project in 2016.
