That a surprise that nobody here ever opened all the koffins. heh, we're all fans! I'll doing my possible to open them all! try it too :) and then we'll have our answer!

I opened all the coffins.....nothing happened. Even after trying the rain trick, (open up coffins ra and in) that didnt work. I even tried opening up Noob Saibot in the conbination of krypts and still, nothing. Perhaps Se-Kt-Or will unlock sektor? I doubt it.

What would be funny about this is that maybe there's a subliminal message somewhere in the game that says "There Is No Final Secret"! I'm not saying that there really is such a subliminal message in the game, but I just thought I'd point that out as a what-if kind of situation.

I heard someone saying maybe "time will lead you to noob saibot" might be "time will leas to shao kahn".
Its noob saibot i put the captions on.

Anyway the best way to get the final secret from boon would be to e-mail thousands of posts saying "TELL US THE SECRET".
tHEN AFTER A WHILE HE'll get annoyed and say "OK".


A few possible secret ideas

Maybe you have to go to arcade and get all flawless victories every single match.


Try beating arcade in under 5.00ms or something like that.

Maybe you have to call yourself a special name. This worked in mk4.

Has anyone tried opening every koffin in order (aa,ab,ac,ad,af,ag etc.)

Maybe there is no secret

I bet midway are just lying. See how whenever someone asks a midway staff something about the final secret they go really shy and just say "um...er...well..uh" there probably isnt a secret.

But there is a version cod, i know that.

I ́ve been reading this now for a long time.
Maybe you guys are just so counusmed by the Idea of this final secret, that you miss reality.
Let ́s contemplate this:

Boon said, there is a final secret, that can be unlocked somwhere in the game by pressing buttoncombos.
Other people denied a Final Secret.
Boon said, he would reveal the secret, once MK:D is in Sales, aight?

So if there wasn ́t a n y Final Secret, Boon would have lied and I think a lot of people would be pissed (by the way, whom of you wold NOT buy MK:D if Boon lied, I would give a f*** and buy it anyways ^^).
So I think there might be something like a Final Secret (what an impressive name -. -).

What could it be? A new charakter? I don ́t think so. Ín nowadays, games must compete, so they must be as good as possible. Every fighting game has additional, unlockable Chrakaters. But these are mentioned even on the sellingboxes, so the number of playable charakters rises. I don ́t either think that Boon could decept everbody this long. Somebody must have found this Charakter.

Every charakter takes a long time in coding them. While playing MKDA I allways get the feeling that it wasn ́t finished (the Fatalitys seem like they where made last minute: The ideas are great). I guess MK:DA-coders where under kinda pressure and had a lack of time. An additional charakter would so be unthinkable. No one had the time making one (after Mokap and Blaze).
I don ́t know if it ́s clear to you now, why I think a secret charakter is improbable.

I would rather think of a secret optionsmenu, with something like 'Immortality' or 'one hit kill' -like turn ons.
This would correspond with the Secret in MK 1, for example. You press a button combination an you can enter the menu. And it is easy to code.

Even a Mokap or blaze fatality can not be disproved. It would be a button combo.

That house of Pekare thing sounds not so finalsecretish to me.

Can somebody clearly, in his own words, tell what this is? (but sounds unlikely to me, too, to be the final secret)

Some people have tried a lot to find this secret (e.g. buy all coffins), but what in fact has this to do with the mentioned button combos? Didn ́t boon say clearly "Try button combos?"


There are way too many possible combinations,
we could try, right, but we could wait evenly.

What else could we do? We could Email Boon to death.
But why should he answer NOW? In a few days MK:D comes out....
Another question, whom will Boon tell the secret? Is he going to call me?? o.Ô

One more thing, what about the Idea that Mokap and Blaze where the final secret. That would really piss me of. They can be played by a button combo, and they are kinda secretish.
But I don ́t think they are. Or I hope.

There can be nothing more done then trying and waiting.

The version code is the Update Name/Number for any software. During the programming process and after release, there are updates, changes, etc to the code. Version 1.0, 1.5, 1.65 2.0 and so on. Little changes are made and reflected by decimal updates to the version number. (1.1 to 1.2 or 1.12) Changes to the whole program are bigger numbers (1.0 to 2.0 or 1.99 to 2.0)

Windows uses names for promtion but still has a numberical value for computer storage. After windows 3.1 it was Windows 95, 98, ME and then XP.

For consoles it is the same thing. But since the game was released on different consoles they wil have different code. example: 5.5x or p or g (x for xbox, p for playstation and g for game cube.

The funniest thing about MKDA is that it is really not version 5. This is why is seems so unfinished. Version 5 was scrapped because they attemped to use the graphics engine from MK4. After they developed so much and then realized it was not going to be able to fit their needs. They built a brand new engine. They should have just bought one from unreal or quake. But they had to have their own engine.

The time consumed to build from MK4 and throw it away, then build their new engine is why MKDA was was so unfinished. So MKD is really MK7.

The engine thing: That makes sense, I didn ́t know that! I know what a version code is, but why should I be interestet in which version of the game I have? And would this be a good Final Secret we waited years for?? Boon, you better come up with something big ^^

Not sure if anyones mentioned this yet but:

"Time will lead you to Noob Saibot" seems like Boons way of saying "Next game" which is MK:D. Maybe they reveal the secret, or it was just a myth so you would play & play. Personally, I love how Boon plays with fans like us, as MK games have always had secrets which makes it standd out from the rest. Because we have gotten so used to secrets in MK, Boon could've given us a false hope to keep us busy until MK:D. If thats the case, touche Boon, touche.

And as for the version code, this isn't a final secret, it's just what happens when you play the game to death. Plus it isn't really a secret, it does nothing in the game. But I hope Boon does release the secret not only to shut us up, but for trust. If Boon says it was fraud and theres a big secret in MK:D, who will believe him then? Nobody. And thats my opinion.

This could in fact matter. I thought it was confirmed for the secret to be revealed on MK: D release...

I think the MK: DA charakters are too individual for a simple color swap to make a new charakter.

I think the final secret could be the Swamplands arena. I have a post on here already about it, but that arena is mentioned A LOT in the game, and never says it was scrapped or not finished like some of the others. It was also in the GBA version, so why not?

I've also wondered if anybody's tried opening Koffins by spelling out "Time Will Lead You To Noob Saibot."

One more question is that the GBA version has this big secret also?

anyone ever road the dragonfly out?.. since there is no timer as in older games.. and this dragonfly is the fastest way to travel throughout realms.. what if you just rode this sob long enough to see what reward there is?.. just a thought

anybody ever tried spelling out FINAL SECRET(i know it's not an even number but ya know)know it is in the krypt?they always refer to it as the final secret, or the other one.

try buying everything in the krypt then reopen those koffins. They probably have letters for a reason.

and the time will lead you to saibot thing and the eye probably don't have something in common. maby the dragonfly thing works unless it just goes in circles.

I think once you get everything from the krypt you should try the reopening cheats. who knows.

Hey I was wondering I had all the endings and characters and areanas costumes and krypts unlocked and I got nuttin...i also was wondering how come after beating konquest they tell u to use blaze and mokap wisely...could that be suttin?...also whats up with when the time runs out u hear a laugh and both players fall over?

Also can someone give the combo for the version code...I have the xbox version and as far as the players falling out thas when u draw and the time run out and I tried doing dat on all levels and even tried falling out on the drum arena but it only bought me to the press start screen and I didn't fight the drum dude so can someone give me anymore ideas for secrets I even set my xbox time and date to deceptions release and still no secret.???

Ok i've been playing all day and after thinking for a while i have thought of a few things that might lead to a secret.

first off, it's the flying the dragonfly nonstop thing. I think it might just go in circles but who knows?

and another one that im really thinking about is the portal. As crow stated awhile back, the portal stage has something to do with sorcerors and diates. Or whatever. well after endlessly looking at the stage careful i have noticed somethings that really seem to stand out.


first off. the whole stage has arrows pointing to the walls off the stage, and on the walls are pictures of what seems to be 2 sorcerors around some type of red symbol. Now if you look on the walls to the right and left of them you'll see Triangular carvings and what looks like a circle or a square above them depending on what side it is. one thing about this is that One side is up the other side is down. its not completely symmetric. and i don't think its the same on all parts of the stage.

also in the center square there is the trinity symbol but the bottom of it looks like _ and the top right and left sides just have designs.

there seems to be lots of signs pointing towards button combonations. (for the ps2 that is) that involve O and triangle and even square. I think this stage might have something to do with the button combos. there seems to be alot of hints in this level. so if anybody is really paying attention then you may beable to do something here. the hints are in the walls and the floor. thats my 2 more cents.
