I can't think of one good reason over 50% want some sort of crossover game. It just shows everyone has a hidden agenda I guess.

those poll results are exactly why Mortal Kombat will always. be around, because*EDIT* SOME fans will buy anything they put out. I.E. MK Special Forces which im guilty of too.

i am 100% against a crossover. mk's story is what kept it a float to me, aswell as a few great characters. every mk character has potential, accept mokap :P

to do a crossover with a game that has so much potential, to be as big as mk2 or 3 was. i dont see what sober midway employee or whoever can make a decision or even consider it for more than 2 seconds to do a crossover.

i am as professional as most of the mko members in most of my posts, as it was mk that lead me to these forums due to my love for it. and now the very basis of my mk fan's integrity is being threatened.

i am sorry, but i have no choice but to attack this. its a horrible idea. even a semi cameo like soul calibur had hehachi, link and spawn. it would ruin the mk story.

Exactly, you see most game developers.... the smart ones will listen to what the fans want, now before someone misunderstands me here what I mean is since we're the buyer, thus paying money we should get something...

Now, like OW222 mentioned. It's not Midway's fault if we have someones bio a bit longer then it was in the last game because 40% fans bitched about it, they must take ALL or if not all(since that's impossible) a good majority and try to balance it out as best as possible.

Gameplay should be #1 concern, then online play, then everything else after that, new modes, bios, costumes, arenas etc all the more trivial stuff.

Now, of course to "non gameplay fans" or casual fans, they won't give a rats ass about gameplay but they should. A game that's not playable to begin with isn't much of a game now is it?

In a way I'm really glad Midway is taking the "mystery" approach here because I know for a fact that if they would have released a teaser vid or something, the same typical Midway haters or negative nancies on here would be bitching about something...or someones costume or something just laughable.

Anywho, on the poll....I don't think it's a big deal personally. Chances are a vs. game WON'T happen and like I've said before countless times...MK is factually the most darkest fighting game out there, that alone is why you'll never see a crossover because the other fighters sport that PG13 look while MK sports the Rated R, Mature look, blood, fatalities, darkness etc both gameplay wise and storyline wise.

I apologize if uve gotten the wrong impression of my concern. Are you telling me that your supporting of "MK vs DC"? or another crossover?

If such a thing were to happen, then I would rant and I dont think I would be alone. And I wouldnt feel like a noob for it. The MK story was stronger around MK3- MKDA. It has since fallen back a bit in terms of potential. But it is still the strongest story in terms of fighting games IMO.

My opinion stands. if a CANON mk vs ??? game is released. It will kill any potential left.

I think we are on to some critical news here, perhaps coming up today, or perhaps coming in the next couple of days. Lets see if these crossover rumors are true or not. Did anyone think that the crossover thing might actually be a mini game? Anyone?

Well I'd like to see another cross-over game if they do it like or better as they did in Shaolin Monks. That game Rocked. I mean it was way better then Special Forces. The graphics on S.F. was really bad compared to Mythologies -Sub-Zero. I mean, come on; they could have done a way better job on it. If they do another cross-over game. They should or need do have more playable kharacters on it kind of like on the vs part on MK:SM. But For now, let's see what they will have to offer for MK 8 when they have solid news on it. (i.e. Previews on it and etc...)....

That's not what a crossover game is. "Crossover game" refers to "Vs" another franchise.

Like Mk vs Street Fighter, Soul Calibur, Samurai Shodown.....Marvel Comics, or DC Comics..ect.

The only two franchises I'd want to crossover with MK are:

1) Street Fighter; c'mon what MK fan wouldn't want to kick Ryu's ass with Scorpion?

2) DC comics; I just want DC to do new Mortal Kombat Comics. And if they have a crossover game together that's likely to happen.

If there were a crossover, I highly doubt it would be canon anyway. So don't get so upset if it turns out to be true. Just enjoy the game, that's what crossover games are for.

Street Fighter crossing over with Marvel was one of the best moves the franchise ever took. SF VS. Marvel was highly successful, and the Street Fighter Series is still going strong. Their fans didn't abandon the franchise as soon as it was announced.

If they did a Crossover. It would totally Put all that work they put into the game to waste.
I love the Story So much.
But I want to just put it through my Head now. You guys. How about we all just leave the Story at MK:A

And let them make Games That are Still Mortal Kombat. But without the Story. I think that would be Awesome. And it gives them more time to work on the Gameplay. Instead of the Story.
