DLC Question: Would you pay for your character?

Surveying a few of the posts made in a few of the threads, ol' Jack Burton noticed something. Since quite a few favorites (Kung Lao, Reptile, Mileena, Johnny Cage, etc.) haven't actually made it into the game, some of us are hoping for downloadable content in the hopes these characters would still find their way into the game. A few of the users seem to think that the MK team would gladly take advantage of all the rabid fans' support for characters like these by having us throw some extra pennies out to acquire them...interesting stuff...

My question is this: should DLC happen, and should you find a favorite of yours among the list of DLC, would you pay to add them to your game?

I'll start by answering my own question: I say I'd almost certainly pay for Kung Lao. He's my other main favorite besides Raiden. I really think the game would be all the better for including him. I'd also probably pay just to have some of the others as well, namely the others I mentioned in my above example.

Merely my opinion; how about you?

I would pay for Kung Lao too, but if they do release DLC, I would hope they would release them in packs instead of just one per buy.

I can't help but be suspicious of channels that promote omitted content, and people who map their speech (poorly) on Kurt Russel characters.

Yeah, Jack Burton hopes they would release packs of DLC as well...I like that.

Glad Mick-Lucifer is catching on to my username; you must know about "Big Trouble in Little China," then. Sure, I may not be dead on Kurt Russell when it comes to my 'portrayal' of Jack Burton on MKO, but I try...referring to myself in third person once in a while seems to add to my jerk factor a bit. Gives off a nice arrogance if you ask me. I'm going to keep doing it. Since you've been so kind enough to enter my thread, what are your thoughts???

I would gladly pay for DLC characters. Especially for Noob Saibot. But i'd like Reptile, Mileena, Jade and Sindel on the list too.

I'd pay for Reptile, Mileena, Ermac, Noob, Smoke, Jade if there character models looked impressive

on the DC side I'd pay for Hawkman, Aquaman, Lobo, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Robin, Doomsday, and Bane too

Poison Ivy, Black Canary, Huntress

Of course as long as they aren't outrageously priced and are more
than just Downloads you can play in VS mode, cause that would blow.

Only if it's actual additional content that is not on the game disk. I'm not paying to unlock shit that's already on the game disk and should already be available.

I must be the only one that wouldn't pay a single cent. Why would I reward Midway with additional money for delivering a half assed game? I'm sure they knew all the fan favorites, so they should've been included in the first place. Not left out to make more money by offering them as downloads.

The odds of this actually happening are slim to none IMHO. Just watch Boon's reactions to the question in any of the interviews.

"Yeah, we'd really like to, but I'm not sure if they'll be time. It's certainly something we'd think about for next time."

It doesn't sound promising. Also I don't want characters in the game that don't have a story. The story is clearly written and any other character at this point would just be filler.

It's a fighting game. The story really is secondary. I still wouldn't pay for them, but the more characters there are the better. Ok, this shouldn't turn out to be Armageddon, but at least the fan favorites should become available.

Depends on the price I suppose. What I wonder is how they'll be bootlegged. Also if we do get DLCs we most likely won't be able to use them in Story Mode, correct? Since it's already programmed for the certain characters.
