trust me im really anxious about gettin the info for the game also, and i think that it wouldnt mesh well if it was a C.O. i think that this m.k. is gonna be kick butt and i think its gonna blow everyone away, i mean you think about it armageddon came out in what 2006? right? so they have had about a little under two years to work out their technology for this game and i honestly think since i believe its the first unreal engine 3 fighting game to surface that people are gonna be blowed away with the amount of detail thats gonna be in this early stage of the game. all i know is that im psyched to get info about all of the new characters and anxious to see what the returning characters are gonna look like being made of many polygons. all i have to say is that i wish the game was already out bc im looking for a mk fix.

Dude, I understand you perfectly because I, myself am wainting like a dog in the rain to see just one tiny screenshot or something. I believe it's gonna be a great game and Boon would never let down. The one thing that I hope them not to do is to include stupid high-tech stuff in something with the feeling of MK. But again, I have faith in the mkteam. All we have to do is wait a couple of days, and if they did take a big step with mk8 the same way they did from mkk4 to DA then I'm pleased more than enough!

There are many reason for me to say that the rumors are not true .

First : on the main page in this site there is a poll which say

Now I have read all of the topics and those who said yest cant reach 10 people
So if the number of the voters is not big then it is a correct poll but if it is big then someone is trying to make it yes .

Second ) the huge number of people who say it is a VS game not just that but they also use the same stories and always cover each other .

Third ) The site of the game (if it is not made up ) is really strange and I did not see even once in my life that a CO would make such a site .It is clearly non CO made .

Fourth ) Ed Boon has said it he said that the game will be darker and there will be no more jokes

These are 5 reasons for me and I have said it if the rumors are true then I will say sorry to them .

i dont think its a cross over game, it would be to cheesy and cliche for the franchise, starting out on a next gen system. imo of course.

I think I'm a little more calm about things though. However, I do agree with the point you made about Mk feeling like Mk, and not some totally different game.

I mainly have some assumptions that I'd want to see confirmed or dissipated.

1. That they were waiting for more system capabilities, and a better engine to make the game they've been trying to make for years.

See, it seems that the kind of game they've been trying to make, hasn't been possible. Until now, so, I'm probably the most anxious about that. I wanna see if they hit it right on the head, get most, or some things right.....or god forbid they totally miss.

2. Whether or not #1 is truthful, might determine a new, really good movie in the next year or so.

3. I hate rumors...even though I see this game has a running mate in them.

a.) I'm not going for the crossover game thing. No way, no how...
b.) No way the game's gonna be T rated. There's too much info to the contrary.
c.) whatever other rumor I forgot about and the videos can go here..

Thing about rumors to me is, they're fun to watch people circulate. They're also fun to play with so long as everyone identifies with the fact it's just a damn rumor.

You're not supposed to take them serious. No matter how truthful,or convoluted the things can be interpreted. lol

I can speculate, I can hypothesize about them, but it never separates from the fact of the matter...it's a rumor.

4. How much more "real" are we talking, in comparison to any of the other games that are out there right now?

We have a pretty good look about the latest DoA...then SC4 seems pretty, well, "pretty". SF4 has a unique direction they're after, with the 2.5D stuff...and then all the other tech fighters out there have their goodies. But I'm a little anxious to see if MK gets that Call of Duty 4 type of realism to it.

I don't care for the bulky character designs from the engine they're using, but the engine is quite capable. So I'm interested in that too.

5. I'm really interested in what they will do with all the options that are now available to them for online stuff. All the game immersion that is possible right now...I'm hopeful, and a little concerned at the same time. I'm not sure what they'll do, but there is a whole world of possibilities here. Almost literally.

6. I'm with you on this one, cuz I really want to like this new MK. But redemption can work in so many ways....it's mind boggling.

1) Who are the returning characters.
2) Who are the new characters, or some.
3) The KAF (kreate a fatality) is gone, and the character specific fatalities are returning.
4) Is Liu Kang returning or not, (hope not).
5) Will KAK and Konquest also be gone...(hope so).

Im tired of seeing everyone get upset and not being able to figure out the whole truth to all this.

I have a friend that works for midway...blah blah blah yea I know you heard it all before. Once you read my post you will know im telling the truth.

My friend could also loose his job if he was caught but there really is no way for him to get caught since I will not release his name nor mine. There is tons of staff at midway and any of them could relaese info. So midway dont bother trying to figure out who I am.

Ok here are the FACTS!

There is going to be a MK vs DC game, but not the way everyone is thinking. You know how Mortal Kombat Deception was later released for the GameCube and had Shao Kahn and Goro. And Mortal Kombat Armagedon came out for the Wii later with Khameleon.

Well this time around Mortal Kombat 8 will not be able to be released for the Nintendo Wii. As Mortal Kombat 8 is going to use the Unreal 3 Engine and the Nintendo Wii cannot run the Unreal 3 Engine. (Dont believe me, look it up)

So b/c of this there going to release an eclusive Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe game just for the Nintendo Wii. This is very easily going to be done as they already have the Engine (MKA Engine) and all the MK characters already made. They just have to make the DC characters and DC backgrounds and pick out there favorite MKA characters and bam, have an eclusive game for the Wii that was very easy to make. And its perfect for testing grounds on a VS game in the future. Also the T rating is something DC and Nintendo wanted. Which means its going to be MKA style fighting but no blood or fatalitys.

But dont worry guys...The real Mortal Kombat 8 is still being made and its going to be realistic and gory and for xbox 360 and PS3.

Also the date 8/8/08 on www.noob.com is not the release date for MK8 its the release date for Nintendo Wii's MK vs DC.

I hope this clears all the crap up on the web. We will see a little info very soon but not all the info I just gave up. Im also going to try to get more info. I personally wont purchase this MK vs DC crap..its just a way for them to make fast easy money. Basicly just picture MKA with only about half the MK characters and the other characters are replaced with DC characters and no fatalitys (even though MKA fatalitys sucked anyway). So a crapper Version of MKA...YA!

hmm, well i hope you're right. thats sounds like the best scenario really, even though i have a wii, i dont want to play mortal kombat on it, unless for some reason they made hand and foot sensors that had 1 to 1 control, that would be pretty sick, plus trying out a cross over really cant hurt, i mean in the future we might all be hoping the next mk is a cross over, and then at that point hopefully they would already understand what it takes to create a a successful game of that format.

It'll be interesting to see if they can pull it all together. If they could even pull off half the shit boon's promised over the years, this could really be an amazing game. Don't have much longer to wait thankfully.

I hope that it's not a crossover game...and anyway, I don't see how Ed Boon could allow that to happen. It just wouldn't be...well, Mortal Kombat-ish.
And as for a Wii version...it would probably be lame. You can't really have a Mortal Kombat game without any blood/gore/fatalities.

I just want to see what kind of game its gonna be if its a crossover, normal mk game. And if is a crossover of what. Just wanna know those things.
