this select screen is corny...put more slots so u can add the extra characters

I think shujinko won't be in the select screen but will be a hidden character.

1. Scab (shoulder pads) 7. Ben
2. Kira 8. Jax
3. Kabal(respirators) 9. Dairou(ponytail)
4. Kitana 10. Smoke
5. Rayden 11. Reptile/Shokan
6. Noob(face mask) 12. Liu Kang (long Hair)


Hidden Characters:

Probably Cage, Mavado, Quan Chi, Reptile, Orig Sub Zero, Kung Lao, Sonya, Sektor, Shujinko, New ones. I can't see them killing off Quan Chi he has dethroned Shang Tsung and is pure evil.

Sonyas probably dead with Shang Tsung, Kano, Cyrax, Nitara, Drahmin, Hsu Hao.

try putting brightness/contrast all the way.

1. smoke - mask covering mouth
2. Kira - based on concepts
3. Kabal - only one wearing anythign lookin like a gas-mask
4. Tanya - the hair (compare it to MK4)
5. Lui Kang (long hair)
6. Noob Saibot (looks like a ninja)
7. hair looks to bulky to be Sonya...looks like they have a mostache.
8. Skab - can cleary see the flesh on his face, and has teeth like a mummy.
9. Shujinko (the guy looks old)
10. Sektor (robot-like head)
11. Reptile/Dragon King/Shokan (scale-like head)
12. Ben/Cobra (the hair)

(going by the first pic in post) my order sorta looks like everyone elses, 7 has me stumped more than anything.

3. I'm convinced that this is Kabal.
4. Looks very much to me like Tanya from the MK4 select screen.
5. Could be Liu Kang.
6. Looks like Noob Saibot with those goggles he had in the couple of screenshots we've seen of him.
7. Other than a female, I don't know.
8. To me it really looks like Skab, but I'm one of those who believe Noob = Skab...
9. God I hope that's Raiden without his hat. I do think it's cool that Shujinko will be playable in this mode, but he shouldn't take up a space on the select screen.
10. I'm convinced that this is one of the 3 cyborgs. If I'd have to guess, I'd say Cyrax...
11. Looks like MK4 Reptile to me... But I'm one of those who believe that Reptile's ending did happen.
12. I'm convinced that this is Ben.

So after all that I'm not sure what to believe anymore!

I think that Smoke will appear less elemental-like than we all think. I believe that he will retain more Lin Kuei attire, looking similar to Sub-Zero.

I think because of Sub-Zero's Dairou/Fujin alt. costume I think that the MK Team gave Dairou some more hair.

So I take it that Shujinko is the name of the Konquest character, and that none of us will be able to use our own desired names? I mean I understand that it might be complicated to program the different sounds, varying with your preference of pronunciation, so it would make sense that they would just call the character Shujinko. Just a thought...

Wow, it must be cool to have connections inside midway. Can you give us any other info?

I have a feeling Kitana wont make the cut in any way. I think that with Tanya, Sindel and Mileena kicking butt in the game, Kitana is almost reduced to 0.

I also noticed many people saying Sektor, well, I dont think he will be in the game. I think only 1 robot will return, and that is sadly smoke. BUt wait, has sektor been confirmed???

Also there are many people who say Sonya, something tells me she will actually return in the game. After hearing about Jax and that kira woman, I say her chances are high.

About raiden, i really dont think he is in the select screen.

I Brightened and Zoomed to 300% all the blacked out select boxes.

Thanks Konqrr. That DID help out a lot. Guys, check out the left_middleleft.jpg on Konqrr's site he provided. IMO, that looks less like a cyborg now, and more like Kabal. The cyborgs don't have roundish eyes, but Kabal's mask did, and you can kind of make out round eye sensors on that picture! If you look close enough, you can even see the breathing tubes. What do you all think?
