Hmmm I'm sensing a "smart" attitude with that statement.....
Both characters have superhuman Strength,Speed, Durability and are able to fly.
Differences are in other abilities and their weaknesses.
But the whole superhuman ablities is the similarity between them.
My explanation being "Blisteringly Brilliant" ? Micky ol' pal you shouldn't assume these things.
Well, really, they are nothing alike, and those comparrisons you point out are really too general to use for your argument. Because by those standards Martain Manhunter is just like Super Man, who is just like Jean Grey, who is just like Silver Surfer, who is just like The Spectre, who is just like Storm, who is just like Invisible Woman. These characters plus hundreds more, while they ALL have similar powers and can do simlar things on the surface, are really nothing alike.
Also, I prefer Captain Marvel being in, over Martain Manhunter, Though MM would be kool too, and I'm sure will be added as DLC, if they really end up adding DLC.

I'm not denying what your saying, because actually I do in some ways see where your coming from but could you give me an example of two characters that are alike completely or in some ways cause i dont think you explained that. If their are any.

Apparently not!

Martian Manhunter
He'd add much more diversity to the roster. A type of Monster character for the DC side, shape-shifter, transparency as a defense mechanism...ect
I don't care at all for Cap Marv.

i think the sheer amount of things he's capable of is the reason he wasn't included though.Martian Manhunter

I'm not sure what you're asking of me here. You said MM and Captain Marvel are alike because they both have super-human Strength, speed, durrablity, and are able to fly. I'm saying that's really not true because probably 1/4 of all Super-Heroes and Villains have all those traits. They're not all alike, and neither are MM and Captain Marvel. You really don't need for me to list out for you the hundreds of characters that all have those traits do you?

Martian Manhunter is a shapeshifter, which would be extremely hard to implement in the game, probably the same reason why Shang Tsung doesn't morph anymore.

Martian Manhunter's just about the epitomy of the Swiss Army Superhero.
It'd be quicker to list the characters who aren't restricted by the logic of the gameplay, on both sides. So, for Martian Manhunter, it's just a matter of what you're choosing to focus on.
Strength/durability isn't really a huge focus for any character, so you might let him share a move (ie; heat vision), but otherwise focus on the invisibility, and shapeshifting -- which commonly involves more literal manipulation of his shape.
For a simple example: a Dhalsim-style limb extension is not difficult to implement, and not otherwise common to other characters in the game.
There really aren't a lot of characters implementing any kind of mechanic built around offensive telepathy, either. MK-style options there vary from a free-hit pause, opportunity to manipulate the opponent, or cast visual deceptions.

His name isn't Shazam it's Captain Marvel.
Shazam is the word he says to become Captain Marvel.
S.H.A.Z.A.M also stands for (Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles, and Mercury) on the Episodes. http://www.70slivekidvid.com/shaz.htm
To answer you question i am glad that they picked Captain Marvel because he is not part of the Justice League. He was at one time part of the justice league because he use to looked up to superman. If the martian was on this game they might as well call it MK VS JL. In plus we need some out side heroes.

I like how people try to rag on Aquaman when they no nothing about the character and just go off what some stand-up comedy says.
Anyways since the Martian Manhunter is dead at this moment don't hold your breath for him to be DLC.

As someone who is fully aware of Aquaman's history AND capabilities I have to say...
He sucks.
Seriously.
On land he's like a REEEEEAAALLLLLYYYYYY limited version of Superman with a lamer weakness, a magical water hand, and no flight.
Adding the whole talking to fish thing doesn't help much, if at all.
You know you're pathetic when your former sidekick surpasses you.

Hey Supes, you just got knocked the f**k out!

As you can tell, you already know who I choose. I'm willing to bet Captain Marvel turns out to be one of the best characters in the game. I'll use him most of the time so if no one else does I'll probably whoop you online.

You say that like he goes around and does nothing but talk to gold fish all day, no nothing like that.

You make a good point but I still prefer Manhunter over Marvel.
