VERY impressive and extremely detailed. Metropolis looks insanely awesome
Love the blood on the ground and cracks that look like hell beneath like KJ pointed out.
The stages in this game will no doubt own bigtime, can't wait to see more character renders/in game graphics too

I love the Daily Planet logo on the ground. Def #1 stage, if FOS don't make it.

when I saw this at first I dismissed it as a joke, but I looked at it again, and the resembalance is insane.
I wonder if this is a joke, or if they're gonna have that guy as a character..
both ways it makes no sense

Its a joke. They don't wanna reveal characters so they decided to make a joke.

Yeah, he's pissed.
I, too, do not like the Hell arena so much. It's too much like MKArmageddon's Hell. They were supposed to starting from scratch. WTF!

I wonder what Gotham will look like since it doesn't have any landmarks like Metropolis does with the Daily Planet globe.

I'm thinking they might take us into Arkham Asylum for that one.

Arkham will definitely pop up in this game, for sure. Boon even hinted at it hehe.

It'd be nice if they could use the iconography of the deco/gothic architecture associated with certain incarnations of Gotham. Or even the Hong Kong style cramped urbana of the East End (or "narrows").
Meanwhile, how many people describing these "stages" as detailed looked at them full size?
Not sure what we're getting out of concept art at this point. Hopefully they can do something more with the Netherealm than a circle arena...

I dunno...I just don't think Gotham's architecture will look unique or recognizable after all the cityscapes we got in MK3. The only difference is Shao Kahn's tower wouldn't be on the horizon with a big portal swirling overhead.

I'd completely disagree.
There was nothing deco or Hong Kong about MK3's cityscapes. They were relatively homogenous scenes of streets and buildings. Gotham has the potential to be far more stylized, and the detail of that shouldn't be lost given the more immersive nature of arenas these days.
As far as the MK team's ability to service that kind of nuance in Gotham's design? That's the snag I can see being a problem.
