You mean people like you who can't respect another's views when they're disagreed with. Again you have nothing to say. And Tekken isn't even my favorite 3d fighter out right now. It's Virtua Fighter 4. I enjoy playing Soul Calibur 2, Tekken 5, Dead or Alive 3 and all though. As for 2d, I'm hardcore at Guilty Gear (my main game for the longest time) and have beaten some of California's best by travelling around. Although I also enjoy KoF 2003, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Street Fighter 3: Third Strike, and Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo. Granted I don't play everything all at once, but I play these alternating several times in a month. That's why I'm one of the most flexible people when it comes to fighting games.

Who the hell would play the Tekken computer? The computer can't even juggle right. I play Tekken in the arcades in my university which has about 30 regulars (7 of which are really good and frequent SVGL and play in many tournies) and at Sunnyvale Golfland sometimes on Tuesdays (which needs two machines because the lines are oftentimes 10-20 people long on Tuesdays) You seriously don't know anything or have anything to say do you?

If talking like an MK fan means accepting any piece of crap with the name MK on it, then you're really one of the people that would kill MK's potential of getting any better. MK1 was good for its time, MK2 was even better, MK3 was really great. UMK3 was the height of the series and provided you with a lot of strategic options. However, MKDA and MKD has a movelist where even a quarter of the moves aren't used. It's filled with game breaking glitches and infinites that are easy to do. Ontop of that, the main strategy in MK is only the alternating of two moves on different heights. Like I said, you are so biased I feel sorry for you.

Here MKF admits that this game has so many problems that it's no longer fun when the game is played to its full potential. It's funny how he has to label people that use things THE GAME LETS YOU DO, as "desperate players." Games decides the rules and boundries you work in, not players. If a player has to make up his own rules to enjoy the game casually, the game is largely flawed. As if MK had many things besides two move 50/50s besides glitch abuse and infinites. Why wouldn't someone like him want an MK that doesn't have all these problems, require some strategic depth in it's gameplay and be polished enough so he doesn't have to make his own rules? All of MK's problems could have easily been fixed with 3d fundamentals. Why would someone like this be against implementing basic 3d fundamentals that would fix MK's problems? Only god knows.

You should take a look at some of his other posts. When he first chanted his tekken isn't online so it sucks mantra he was told it wasn't online because of frames and he thought that the frame loss was because the ps2 sucked and couldn't handle it. Despite numerous posts mentioning that it's totally impossible to play online perfect. He still doesn't even know that there is frame loss online with deception.

I'd just like to point out that we must always "fight the good fight" no matter if we feel as though we're getting through or not. There's a lot of unheard nerfing and a lot of people aren't playing it because a lot of people complained over unjust changes. The fact that Namco is working towards Tekken 5.2 due to player feedback on how many of the 5.1 changes sucks makes a lot of people not even want to learn 5.1 anymore until 5.2 is out.

Although it's amazing and it shows what a good fighting game company should be doing. If they messed up, patch it up again and fix the damn thing. If they nerfed certain characters too hard (like Feng) and removed tech catches when they should have fixed individual cases, then they gotta fix it. It's a good thing Namco is on the incentive to put out free upgrades to make their game better. When it's out in the US, it'll be interesting to see. Although there have been a lot of complaints over on the US side, it's still theory until we get to try it ourselves..

I mean 5.1 has only been out for like a month in Japan/Korea and they've already identified the problems with it and are working towards a 5.2 patch that will come shortly. That's dedication.

If they follow in Soul Calibur's and Virtua Fighter's footsteps, we should probably see a lot more updates.

That is dedication. Damn. With the next generation of consoles, hopefully developers can offer gameplay type patches with their games, via downloadable content. Now that would be something.

This would be a good reason for T5 to have some type of online mode to download these updates. But I'm sure the Greatest Hits version of T5 will be the latest and last revision whether it be 5.1 or 5.2. The only thing that really sucks about this is since it's summer, I haven't been keeping up that much with news. I needed to buy a new T5 and I did just a couple days ago. Only to find out virtually an hour or two later about this 5.1 update. I wanted to die.

Definitely, I'm not sure if PS3 is gonna be bundled with an HD or anything though. But if they could, downloadable updates would be great. I mean looking at 3d fighter revisions nowadays it's pretty much required if you want to keep a version upto date.

Since the console only has Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution Ver. B and Tekken 5 Ver.5.0, it would definitely be nice to have downloadable updates.

Some people buy the game to see all the fatalities and that's it. Some people buy the game to see where the story goes. Some people buy the game to experience the atmosphere. And some buy the game to find a strategic game that was present in UMK3. Dude, I'm not telling you to not like MKD. I'm telling you that MKD has serious problems and that on a gameplay front, it fails horrendously compared to other 3d fighters. You can still like it if you want, that's upto you. FACTS about the game include a 90% useless movelist, glitches that are everywhere, and easy infinites. Dude, just cause your local arcade had no Tekken regulars you justify that MK has more popularity than Tekken? So if I go to 10 different people's houses and no one owns an MKD, I can justify that no one plays MKD? Seriously. You do know that MK did so bad in the arcades they couldn't push it out in the arcades anymore and that there are more people playing Tekken in the arcades than there are people with MKD online right? Go to official ranking sites and find out how many people play the game. Go to Shoryuken.com and find out what tournies are being held, go to Tekkenzaibatsu.com and see what tournies are being held. They have them on their frontpages, see all the people that play. If you looked at the top 10 arcades around the nation, there are at least 500-700 regular Tekken players. If you go to Japan and Korea, those numbers would be even bigger for their top 10 arcades (especially Virtua Fighter and Tekken).

As for the conversation about MKD and Tekken 5, what other type of conversation would you have? If not comparing to Tekken 5, what should we compare it to? MKD and Tekken 1? Everyone agrees that UMK3 was at least average (I still think it's pretty good, especially for Midway) and did many things that was a nice change.
