Regarding the Video

Ok. So, some things worth to mention in order as we see them in the vid:

- There is no blood in most attacks and special moves.
- Sonya’s combos look very good.
- Sonya has a new fighting stand that looks awesome (even TKD like).
- You can see the huge damage of Sonya’s cloth. Her shirt is so ripped you can almost see her breasts.
- Sonya’s Bicycle kick pro-move is a dream come true.
- Kano looks very cool.
- Special Forces arena and DC Universe arenas look beautiful.
- Kitana’s combo attacks looks very very cool.
- Kitana’s steel fans don’t look as cool as they did before.
- Mileena’s roll move and Sonya’s Wave Punch was stole by her again. -_-
- Shang Tsung’s double skull fire ball rocks.
- Flash’s speed looks excellent.
- Green Lantern’s pro-moves and special moves look awesome.
- Characters facial expressions look fantastic.
- Catwoman’s whip attacks look great.
- Scorpion looks fun.
- Joker should STOP smiling a FEW times because it would make him cooler. I love the wicked smile even when he is hurt, but not all the time.
- The Batman arena looks awesome with the batman signal in the air.
- Liu Kang’s combos look cool.
- Wonderwoman and Kitana look plastic.
- Wonderwoman has a similar hand stand that just hits the opponent like Kai’s.
- Wonderwoman seems to be a heavy fighter.
- Shazam’s specials look cool.
- Wu Shi Academy is gorgeous.
- Sub-Zero’s ice block rocks.
- Kitana’s fan lift looks horrible.
- Kitana’s triple kick and fan combo looks great!!
- Sub-Zero’s self freezing looks very cool.
- Sub-Zero’s kicks look nice.
- Joker’s bomb is very cool.
- Batman’s batarang looks silly.
- Jax looks awesome.
- Batman’s leg grab and kicks and combos look cool.
- Shang Tsung’s fire ball to the ground is nice,
- Special Forces arena seriously looks stunning! The graphics are so beautiful!
- Supermans freeze is awesome.
- Flash combo hits are great.
- Shazam still reminds me of Superman, but his lighting special move looked fantastic! The way the victim struggles in his arms rock!
- Wonderwomans pro move (where she splits) looks awesome.
- Baraka’s blade fury looks nice, but his pro move is kind of silly.
- Sonya’s energy rings look as awesome as always.
- Sonya’s Leg Grab pro-move is another dream come true (double leg grab! Yay!).
- Lex Luthor’s missiles and his foot thing look cool.
- Superman’s laser vision is so Cyclops it rocks!
- Catwoman’s air whip looks fantastic.
- Superman’s air laser vision also rocks!
- Baraka’s open mouth when Superman is about to slam him to the ground is priceless!!!
- Kanos cannonballs look awesome.
- Joker’s gun and dance look awesome!!!
- Jax has his GOTCHA and it looks AWESOME!
- Jax has a ground head punch before that which looks interesting

Overall, there are a lot more good things then bad.

Regarding the MKast

The blood was probably just turned off. I trust the rating's fuckers didn't make them remove it for the faggot TEEN rating

That would be catastrophic and apocalyptic!!!

Just look at certain moves such as Kitana's fan throw. THOSE NEED BLOOD!! It feels so empty to see all those attacks with no blood at all.

I'm guessing it was just turned off so we could see what they wanted to show.

I trust that Ed Boon is still keeping his promise of: "There will be blood" and all the guaranties he gave in interviews and that we saw in videos and MKasts, etc.

We need the blood.

And a lot of it. They said they were pushing the limits.

I guess we shouldn't worry too much.

This game has gotten better by leaps and bounds even since Leipzig. Here's hoping London has the version shown in the Pro Moves video.


Also...being an owner of a PS3 and an Xbox 360 I am going with the PS3 for MK Vs. DCU mainly because I don't care for the D-Pad on the 360 controller. Playing UMK3 with it is frustrating at best. Any thoughts on how MK Vs. DCU will play on the 360 controller?

About the MKast:

Fairly interesting. I think that Hector is slowly becoming like Boon in that he would keep us intrigued with the MK world by hinting at the future MK projects. Cool. If there is another action/adventure coming up then for my first choice I hope its focused on Kitana, Mileena, and the Edenian invasion. It would be interesting to completly flesh out the story of characters like Sindel, Rain, Jade, King Jerrod, and many others associated with that realm. They should also reveal how Tanya became such a habitual traitor. Enjoyed the kast though and glad to see that Steve Beran is still around. Where is Tony Goskie though?

About Pro Move video:

The best video released thus far. I'm loving the open-ended fighting system. I hope that online will be 10 times better that the previous gen. The pro moves are looking awesome. I can't predict the future, but I have a strong feeling that good Superman, Kitana, and Sonya players are going to be feared online. The Joker too lol.

I love the MK fans unquenchable bloodlust

MKast, wasn't really as good as the first few. I guess they ran out of stuff to address.

This video looks really good. But, because there always is a but with this game. I have to say seeing Kitana & Baraka slashing people with bladed weapons and there being no blood is VERY unrealistic. Hopefully as someone has mentioned, the blood was turn turned off for this. I am loving Kitana's moves, but that ribbon still needs to GTFO! I am not liking however, when she does her fan throw and the opponent becomes frozen in a pose as if he is being thrown back and the fan is lodged inside them only to vanish when they are hit. Hope that is fixed.

Yeah they talked about a Shaolin Monks sequel before. I'd love to see it that's for sure!

@ Ninjakata: OMG! you have no idea how much I would love to have a action/adventure MK game based around Edenia and its invasion. Unfortunately I doubt we'll ever see the day. If they come out with another action/adventure title, they'll surely focus on Liu Kang & Kung Lao again, or Sub-Zero and Scorpion, which is unfortunate. Sick of those two!

Definitely the blood is turned off, cuz in all previous trailers we can see some blood from a single facial punch, which is not shown in that latest trailer.
But my guess is that there won't be as much blood as there used to be in previous MK series.
Kitana's fan will display blood when it hits the opponent, the proof is shown in one of the trailers in free fall where she hits Flash with her fan at the end and blood comes out from his body.

With Sonya's newly added stance she looks great. Finally, Sonya is back!

This is actually pretty great.

They've answered a bunch of gameplay inferences that have been lingering to question the MkTeams capability for years now.

- I like that the pro moves have some different properties, like Tony was talking about in the fan podcast that we did.

- I like that the special moves seem to have purpose, and that can sorta be performed as a part of the rapid flow of a combo.

- I really like that we are gonna be able to control from whatever punch or kick that we want to, any other move or special that we want to.

Good job MkTeam, and based on this preview, thanks for the compliance.

"Complaints"?

- We need to see more of the defense mechanisms. Kitana got away with continuous repetition in her drop kick//fan combo in that corner against the Flash. What can we do about that situation to prevent an infinite from happening? The breaker? How many? What else is there there, that negates that combo from continuing from happening over and over.

Looks like a recovery, or animation issue.

- That's it from this video that I can see right off the bat. In another video, Batman got away with something similar vs Liu Kang and his jabs. MINION pointed this out and I think it either needs to be explained, or just taken care of.

---Other stuff.

-Be more choreographed, like in martial arts movies and you pretty much got it. In an intense fight scene in a movie, there's a "rhythm" that you get a sense of. Let us control that rhythm in what we're doing, maybe some aesthetics that compliment an aggressor ( to were eventually during a combo, we'd see a fiery fist, or an icy uppercut or something that bursts into pieces on contact, ect), and we're good to go.

Be more choreographed.

- This stuff^^ will ramp up the action in Mortal Kombat. Then we won't need free fall, or close combat. It's constant, it's visually appealing, and we have control of it all. Only thing I think would be missing then, is character specifics and personality.

- Don't take anything away from the flow of an intense fight. Don't interrupt the flow of a fight with another mechanic. "Something to find" // "Something else happening" that compliments that flow, like these pro moves is a good direction to go with it.

Ramp up the action....it's a fight to the death. lol

Sonya is kicking major a$$ in this game, in all possible aspects.

Jack Burton would support another action/adventure MK game in the same sense as MKSM.

I really enjoyed that game. I wouldn't object to another Kung Lao/Liu Kang based game, but I would jump at the chance to play as Raiden for once. I've always dreamed about a game that would focus on a lot of his story throughout the MK timeline. Of course, probably wishful thinking on my part, but still that would be cool. I'd propose a Raiden/Fujin game. That would make for interesting gameplay. Heck, truthfully, I'd be open to any suggestions for characters.

And THAT'S what Jack Burton has to say at this time.

I agree with Jack Burton heck I wouldnt mind playing as raiden neither just 2 show the events that unfold as he started as a god and battled in many MK previous tournaments and perhaps learned more about him and his mythology.

Video was great, Shazam's special where he grabbed the opponent and had thunder slam down onto him is probably the greatest special I have ever seen ever ever. This game looks great so far.

Batman vs. Sub-Zero FTW!

I'd love to see a new adventure based on the events that took place during Shao Kahn's invasion in MK3 up to MK4.

That would be awesome.
