People are allowed to not like Sonya. Frankly after the 1800 posts you've made over the last couple of weeks I can perfectly understand people starting to dislike Sonya. In any case I have to agree that I don't find her inclusion in this game impressive so far. Her outfit it very typical. A cut off top and pants. Hello MK1, 3, 4, DA. It's good that she got her signature moves back though. That's all that was left to make her interesting.

Anyhoo I don't know why the other mods have left this open when this clearly should be in the news thread. Meh.

Queve Sonya looks amazing an has been returned to her status of "The wonder woman" of MK. And all your fighting was worth it, she has all her classic moves back and look

Just as people are allowed not to like Sonya, people are also allowed to make threads in a freakin' discussion forum, so I dunno what you're complaining about. "Frankly", I feel that you feel that just because you're a mod, your word is final, unquestionable, and most wise. This isn't the first time I've seen you acting rudely to a user, and it isn't the first time I've seen you acting rudely to a person who was a Sonya fan instead of a fan of your character.

Having said that, I was very excited to see Sonya got her trademark moves back! I swear, everytime she did one, I had to rewind and see it again in slow-mo so I could soak up all the details, lol ^_^

And it also seems that her moves have been made more powerful/useful in this installment.

Her bycicle kick consists of a slide to the opponent's legs in order to stick the move.

Her Leg Grab can grab opponents in the air, opening up huge possibilities for combos.

Her Energy Rings can be shot twice in a row.

If her 2 new moves are really good, she'll be on her way to being top-tier and an amazing fighter once again P.S.: Now we just need to get a look at her alt.

so far out of all the characters revealed she doesnt fit in. shes plain compared to the others, shes in because she is a "iconic" mk character.

Excuse me, I did believe I said the Wonder Woman of MORTAL KOMBAT. And to me and others she is. And do not ever tell me what to say or do. And with all those magical moves and ect, she fits in. And ofcouse she's in because she's iconic, thats the whole point of the roster.

I personally find "Wonder Woman" to be plagued by offbeat cheesiness both in name and in costume, and find it quirky when she's labeled as "Sonya's counterpart", making me feat Sonya might be viewed as much of a cheesy character as WW. But then I get over it because I'm able to see the positives in both characters, but that's just me and my acceptable level of maturity speaking.

I really fail to see how what she said was rude or mean. queve makes a lot of Sonya topics and always has. I don't see how that's a "shot"; it's just the truth. If you take offense to it, then obviously you're just thinking it's annoying yourself or think it annoys other people. No one told queve he couldn't make threads expressing his opinion, but if he does so, then he's subject to that being noted. It's not power abuse... I don't see anywhere that you or queve are told to do anything or stop doing anything. It's really sad you guys can't allow people to say one bad thing about Sonya in any game ever without throwing a total fit.

Crow you are my friend but I fail to see how we are getting off topic. As long as theres no cussing or flaming then whats the matter with sharing our opinions? Pink Ranger is very rude and likes to do her dirt behind the scenes. She also like to use her modship as some sort of weapon. I remeber we were talking about Catwoman's costume and you can read the thread, she blew up at me for saying that Catwoman has always been sexy and empower women.

Now back to the subject. To be all truthful, a fighting game character should NEVER, and I mean NEVER, where the same suit in more than one game (with the exception of Super Smash Bros., because none of those characters started out in fighting games). Sonya should not be wearing her MK4 suit. She should be wearing something new. Shang Tsung should not be wearing his MK2 suit. He should be wearing something new. As fighting games change and progress, so should the characters. The only thing that should really stay are couple of signature moves. That's it.

This whole issue here proves that Ed Boon and his team did not start from scratch. YOU LIARS!

Far be it from me to wanna start another Sonya/Kitana discussion, since as fun as the last one was, it's very time-consuming. I just don't like it whatsoever when a user is put down for making posts, which is the essential purpose of these forums. If queve didn't bend the rules of do anything that goes against the site, why should he be shot down and told that what he's doing is negative? Why does he have to hear something like that when I can say with all certainty that there was one user a couple weeks ago who made at least 3 Sonya threads pitting her against other females? I mean, that guy didn't hear anything, but queve has to just because some people like Kitana?

Maybe I am a little "overprotective" of a fictional character, I think it's safe to say that, but at least I admit that that's an influential reason on how I write some of my posts, unlike some other users who take every chance to bash the competing character and act as if it was nothing more than "stating the truth" while passing by a thread.

i like shangs new look. i dont like his air fireball its as lame as all the others from MKs past.
i like his teleport move, it doesnt look as silly as his MKA teleport.

i like his new look, i still hate the long hair glad its not a mullet anymore.

Subby having a teleport, i actually like it, i pray pray PRAY to god it doesnt get all laggy retarded like Rains teleport did in MKA. for those that dont know when there was lag in the battles Rains teleport would go in front of his foe instead of behind, leaving the one character fucked since he has to deal w/ free hits from rain O_o

Cat womans whip looks kool, i guess those folks that wanted a whip for Sindel (cough me) can now have that w/ catwomen.


Sonya ~ her Bike kick looks useful now, like check said i wonder if it is a low attacking move.

Flash ~ hmm i kinda like the moves. i dont know about him yet.

Superman ~ Major Boner i love everything about him and he looks to be a possible broken character.


sadly though some of the attacks look silly having little to no animations in them. its typical 3D MK it makes the characters look silly and STIFF robotic.


i hatethe way Klose kombat look as well as the free fall kombat thing. the MK team needs to stop being so gimmickey.

BTW, did anyone notice that during Klose Kombat, Catwoman scratches the opponent's face with her claws instead of punching? Quite orgasmic. She's already my second favorite next to Sonya in this new game, her moves are great from what I saw. A battle between her and Sonya would definitely be bad-ass to watch.
