Darkseid shares the role of chief antagonist, and we're surprised boom tubes factored into the story? Pffft! The real shock is the Silver Age flavour that sees the realms merge when Superman stuffs a banana in the boom tube, causing it to backfire and knock out the Green Lantern, who was vulnerable to it's yellow peel.

I really didn't see all of that coming!
